Car Talk › Re: Nigeria’s Driver’s License Accepted In The USA by tpia5: 12:27am On Jul 15, 2012 |
1. The article referred to the Department of Motor Vehicles in the State of Maryland. But in Maryland, there is nothing like that. What we have here is the Motor Vehicle Administration popularly known as MVA. true that. I forgot. didnt read the article, actually. 2. The state of Maryland used to be known as one of the easiest states to obtain a driver's license. People traveled hundreds of miles from other states to obtain a Maryland driver's license. A few years ago, the Maryland legislature passed laws that now make it very difficult to obtain a Maryland driver's license even for bona fide residents of the state of Maryland. might be a general thing i suppose. i remember one time some news reports said green cards were being sold on the steps of the capitol. dont know if it was true however. |

Politics › Re: The Most Commercialized/industrialized Non-capital Cities In Nigeria by tpia5: 12:01am On Jul 15, 2012 |
I would love to see cities assuming the status of silicon valley of Nig., the Detriot of Nig., Las vagas of Nig. etc replace "cities" with "towns' and for silicon valley, substitute yahoo yahoo valley/s. then you'll have a clearer picture. detroit is currently a depressed area, so where do you compare that to? Most of nigeria has been in a similar state for a long time. |

Family › Re: Do You Know Your TRUE Biological Father? by tpia5: 7:06pm On Jul 14, 2012 |
if the mother insists the child is his, then the tests should be redone.
this visa issue is destabilizing nigeria too much.
nigerians typically do not rely on dna to vet their offpsring. At least not as far as I know.
a child should look like you or someone in your family.
If s/he doesnt, then you'd have known early on, not later.
People around you are also checking to see who the child resembles and they'll definitely say it to your face if they feel something is off.
dont know if all that has changed however. With all these current generation who dont know their left from their right.
yorubas say eni bi ni la njo meaning na who born you you go resemble. |
