just saying. |
These people are not complaining: https://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40153000/jpg/_40153738_firewood203ap.jpg https://www.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/dreamstime_xl_28022349-600x397.jpg https://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2005/12/31/international/nigeria4.184.jpg http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/who-is-poor-in-nigeria/ https://www.bellanaija.com/2014/09/nathan-sogo-why-are-we-so-poor/ it's our rich, good looking, class conscious, well dressed celebrities who are complaining. Na wa o. It is human nature to always want to have it all. |
What are your other options? Is the house located in an area where you want to work? |
Are you implying the Ini Edo picture with Ben Bruce is photoshop? |
Who knew women could be this liberated in Nigeria. The country has come a long way from those patriarchal culture things. In the olden days, women did not cheerfully display their wealth, beauty, status etc continually year after year with no man in sight. Its good that modernity has reached Nigeria. |

Well, tall dark, macho, six packs and handsome. Tall, slim, figure 8 and beautiful. They were both to each other's specifications. Btw where is the guy now? Is he getting the help he needs? |
As per the Jamaica references? ![]() |
I dont get what he is complaining about. If celebrities who always display their wealth, dressing, good life etc on social media are talking of self esteem anytime they are not worshipped on social media, what do they want ordinary people who dont have all these things, to say. |
horzart:Because he fathered children? ![]() Lord have mercy. |
drnairalov:That look you give when you are warning the person "If you dare talk, reveal any secrets or not stick to the script. . . . " |
With the recent celebrity saga which shocked and upset many of their fans who looked up to the couple, will it be possible for any other glamorous celebrities to fill this spot. T and T were the uber couple, to many of their Nigerian audience., They epitomized wealth, class, dignity, sexuality, sensuality, the ultimate in cool, sexual liberation, public displays of affection, etc etc. In short, they were living the dream life most Nigerian youths ages 20 to 60 aspire to have in the Nigerian environment which celebrates the rich. And yes, most Nigerians or nairalanders, especially the females, tend to dream about snagging the perfect guy. This perfect guy has attributes which include a minimum of -good figure, with six packs, tall, slim, light or dark, macho, elegant/cool haircut, dressed to the nines, - a socialite (man about town), sweet talker, dining with vips, etc etc - and yes, a man who has been in a prior or current relationship gives the chase an added zest for many ladies. Presence of a wife or kids or baby mamas makes the man doubly attractive and gives an added sense of power to know he chose you over another female and his kids. When the man is rich or extra rich, no ego boost can top this. - Most ladies (especially nl ones) like to imagine a man leaving his wife or kids to be with her/them, comes with no consequences, and ends in happily ever after, even more than had he been single and never married before hooking up with them. The general attitude is all prior relationships were "mistakes" and the current one with them, is the one approved by God and people. The recent saga led to a rude awakening for many of such folks who believe a man is never married unless he is with them. Even though prior some folks had voiced their concerns about the union as soon as their engagement was announced, the photo blitzes, pdas and carefully monitored/crafted/edited media coverage of the couple, led most folks to believe they (couple) were in Camelot. So, ka ma fa oro gun, has all this led to a rude awakening for Nigerian youths aged 20 to 65? ![]() I remember there was a blitzkrieg of threads about the benefits of side chikism (pardon the pun or spelling) here on nairaland right before the bubble burst. |
