I read about native social groupings by age in Things fall Apart, what are some other social strata which people are assigned to in ATR or maybe just culturally speaking. |
She always looks much happier when she's with her shoes, bags, etc. Probably very expensive too. |
the bride looks so happy . . . . . .aw. |
mimzy:Highly doubtful although never say never. The other forum was actually livelier than nairaland at that time, many of the folks from there might have migrated here no doubt. But the arguments were quite intense and there was a lot of trolling too. |

Niyinficient:If I no show, you people dont show. Continue! Btw, you might want to know Fulani, Hausa and middle belt also wear iro and buba not to mention the many other tribes who also use it for photoshoots. If you folks want to scam yourselves, by all means go ahead. In addition, mind your posts here, I find this one particularly aggravating but will withhold a response for now. Dont start what you wont want to finish. |
Abi beko o, ah, be naa ni. |
Are you implying wizkid should date a white lady? ![]() |
Where are you folks seeing white men to marry, how una do am? Come and tell us how you persuaded him/them to marry you, na beauty or what? ![]() And how is that a Yoruba lady, probably Igbo/Edo/southsouth imo. How does doing a photoshoot with iro and buba mean you are a Yoruba lady. I hope our brother at the top is not the one arranging these things? |
One of the papers used to have a social media forum, but it was shut down or restricted due to too much fighting or something like that. This was many years ago. |
movado19:I dont think they're silkworms. |
They are all still rich though, right? Just the embarassment of having some ambiguous info named somewhere, whereas for the average fellow, both embarassment and poverty are what they have to contend with. |
konti:Noted. Sead/seed beads are made from seeds or synthetic material? |
Why do you consider them female genders? I think you have the greek myths in mind. In Yoruba cosmology, the tortoise has ogbon (cunning) and he is male. Just saying. |
I admire heels but you have to know how to use them. |
did they say they broke up? ![]() the scripted and discombobulated stories did not imply that. |
I mean modernity, nollywood and the Nigerian showbiz scene has led to a huge reliance on gossip in national policy making. I dont mean gossip about celebrities, but gossip about regular people. |
modern things plus nollywood aka the rise of the Nigerian showbiz circles. |
few questions arising: Who are the pioneers What are the financial prospects of blogging How does blogging work Who can be a blogger? Who can be a top blogger? Who can be a successful blogger? What does it take to be a top blogger? Do bloggers need godfathers/godmothers (sponsors) aka baba/iya isales? Who do bloggers work for? Can blogging be sustained on a regular income or does it need cash infusions? How do you get ad placements on your blog, what is the process? What is the role of networking in blogging? Mentoring upcoming bloggers- how? |
Since the op made a point of emphasizing Cross River in reference to Igbo, it's obvious he wants a connection known or made between Cross River and Igbo even though Cross River is not considered an Igbo area in general. He could have said Eastern Igbo and mentioned the groups he is referring to? ![]() |

I dont know you, I dont wish to know you. Is it by force? ![]() Just because I post on nairaland does not mean you must chat with me, or is this a cultural something with you and your types? ![]() And plz, stop mentioning paris linda ikeji or any other person you are working for/have links with, when referring to me or if you want to quote me. So annoying! One would think you people are making your money through me? |
Lord have mercy. Is that Lagos? ![]() Most of the people there dont look Nigerian. |
They should be heroes abi? ![]() If any of you were there you wouldnt say anything either. |

Cross river could be anywhere (there's one in New York for example). But generally, in Nigeria, anything mentioning Cross River is understood to mean Cross River state and is not used in reference to an Igbo presence. Maybe it was in ancient times (you can post proof), but not aware of such, now. Same way you are referring to a "Niger River Valley" which is unknown parlance in the Nigerian setting. Here is the precise and correct definition of Niger River Valley: Located in West Africa, this valley covers 7.5 percent of the continent and extends through ten countries: Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Benin, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, and Nigeria. One of Africa's eight major river basins, the Niger River Valley follows the course of the Niger River, the largest and longest river in West Africa and the third-longest river on the African continent.http://www.inmotionaame.org/glossary/glossary_term.cfm;jsessionid=f8302823071462771093221?id=154&bhcp=1 |
why not google it? I mean check the search function. Since you put it on the internet, it should be there somewhere. |
