Otunba Dele Momodu, the presidential aspirant and brain behind popular celebrity publication Ovation Magazine wants to float a television station of his own.
And naturally the medium will leverage on his claim to fame to succeed- the brand name Ovation.

Insiders in the camp of the celebrity politician revealed that Dele Momodu intends to achieve his dream by starting off with a syndicated television programme with the name ‘Ovation on T.V.’

The concept is expected to transform into a full fledge television station later on.
Presently the popular Nigerian is said to be compiling materials to start his dream with.
Skeletal staffs that will ensure a smooth take off are also being put together, personally, by the notable journalist.

Sources gathered that Ovation T.V would be launched this year but the specific period and manner of launch are not yet clear.

In the light of Dance contests making their way to the entertainment scene and getting massive recognition and exposure, a new dance competition titled ‘Dance Nation’ is set to debut this year.
‘Dance Nation’ is a platform designed to showcase the best of dancers as they battle for the ‘Best Dancer in Nigeria’ title. It promises to be tough and rigorous as only dancers from the year 18 upwards are qualified to participate.

Auditions will take place in four different regions of the country – Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Lagos as 10 boys and girls will be chosen to make a final list of 20 dancers who will slug it out on the grand stage.

‘Nigerians are very talented people either in arts or academics, but more people needs to get interested in these talents and provide platforms for them to be showcased which is where Dance Nation comes in. Not only do we want to search out these talents we want to set then on a trailblazing path’, producer of Dance Nation, Jemila Musa shed more light on the competition.

The emerging winner of the maiden edition of Dance Nation will walk away with N1M (One Million Naira), a car and will get to go on a two-week dance course in South Africa. The first and second runner-ups will get a N1M and N750,000 respectively. The remaining top ten will get between N150,000 to N250,000 depending on when they leave the show.

Linus Idahosa, the hunky fiancé of Nollywood beauty, Stephanie Okereke says he is still at a lost as to where a section of the press got the information that his fiancée’s family has stopped his planned wedding to their daughter, Stephanie Okereke. In a chat with THE REPORTER, Linus decried the dearth of professional ethics and proper investigative journalism in Nigeria, he said this while promising to deal with the writer who “created” the story. “I know those who wrote the story, it’s just that the judicial system in Nigeria is too slow. If not, you should have heard of the steps we would have taken. One thing is sure, I`m not letting this go just like that.”

What then is the true situation of things with Stephanie? “My brother, no matter how public a man or a woman is, there are things you cannot discuss on the pages of newspapers. My fiancée’s family, for one, is very angry at the writer of that story. First, there is nothing like that happening. And let`s assume the writer heard a story of that nature, is it right to head straight to the press without even calling the people involved?

Why are journalists getting lazy on the investigative part of their job? It shows publishers now employ half-baked and ill- trained people as journalists. Stephanie and I are still very much on course and they will see us get married soon. But my lawyers will make sure we sue and get justice for this embarrassing story.”

Asked how his bride to be is taking all of this, Linus replied: “She is not letting it get to her. We are all fine.”
