It has taken Yvonne Nelson too long to apologize to the film producers Association of Ghana for the reason that, the film producers did not issue any official letter to her that she was banned. Many people are still baffled as to why she has come out at this stage to apologize since she said she had not been banned.


At the time she was granting interviews to media that she has not been banned. She had already sent official apology to the C.E.O of Venus films Abdul Salam that she knew she had wronged him for not completing the shoot of 4 plays reloaded.

According to Abdul Salam Mumuni, at the time that Yvonne came to apologize. He advised her to go and apologize to FIPAG through the media but Yvonne did not do that.

All things being equal Abdul Salam has finally asked us to announce to the general public that he and the entire Venus Films team have officially forgiven Yvonne Nelson and soon as the film producers lift her ban. He will use her in his new movie titled”The Assassins” it will feature other movie stars and few other new faces in the industry.

Ghanaian print media outfit is reporting that players within the industry are covering up an incident in which actor Majid Michel reportedly had a poisonous substance put in his food.

Sources say that during the shooting of the movie ‘Somewhere in Africa’, medical reports suggested that someone had put poison in a tin of milk Majid was supposed to have used in his food.

A host of Nollywood stars have recently been appointed as United Nations Habitat Envoys. One of them, Ini Edo has already hit the ground rolling in her new portfolio with plans to build a new school at Dustbin Estate in Ajegunle, Nigeria. Citing reasons for her immediate action, Ini Edo highlighted the regrettable plight of people currently living in the estate.

“The living condition in this place is bad enough but the schools there are worse; I had to climb into a class through the window. The classrooms are tattered, there are no toilets, blackboard or good seats; more so, what would you make of a school where children pay N20 per day as school fees. I never thought a place like that exists in Nigeria; this should not be encouraged to continue. Every Nigerian child has a right to quality education wherever the child lives in. For me the way forward for children in the Dustbin Estate is quality education; a person who is educated is empowered with a choice to a better life, so I am going to do all within my power to ensure that children in the Dustbin Estate have a quality school to themselves,” she stated.
