To the bosses and all domainers in the house


pls I need some guidance(any advice and tips also), I have some questions and am restricted as a newbie cos of lack of knowledge and knowhow, pls don't be irked if my questions seem trivial or obvious to you, I have checked online severally but can't seem to really get the info I need, hence my reason bringing it here, I don't want to make any silly newbie mistakes


I bought a domain, and I have heard people say it's good practice to list your domain on several marketplaces (herein lies my challenge).

Pls am a newbie and this is my 1st domain name purchase.

I bought the domain on dynadot, and want to list on Dan marketplace,

I changed the nameservers on dynadot to Ns1.dan.com and ns2.dan.com and then imported the domain from Dan and it's in my portfolio. I set the BIN price and make offer price, however, Dan tells me the make an offer price cannot be less than 799, but I want to set it lower than that,

1) why is it restricting me to that figure? Is it something I did wrong?

2) Is there a way for me to be able to set it to any value of my choice there?

Asper listing on different marketplaces, what I see on Dan is that they say it is also listed on the afternic network; since Dan is a godaddy product,

3) does it mean it's listed on Gd also?

If it's not listed(or its listed), how can I list on other marketplaces like sedo and some other marketplaces to increase chances of more eyeballs seeing the name.

Now that I have listed on Dan,

4) how can I list for example, on sedo?

5) Will I point it to sedo nameservers from dynadot?
Or will I point it to sedo nameservers from Dan?

6) Won't doing either of these actions delist from Dan?

Also concerning landing page,

7) pls how do you guys properly setup the landing page. Pls give me some samples of landing pages you use that have worked for you.

they can't restrict your make an offer price to a particular figure, that can only happen to your buy it now. E.g if you set minimum offer to be $500, you can't set your buy now price below the $500 of your minimum offer.it either you set it at $500 or higher and as for listening your domain in other market places, you can easily do that only that you can only used a particular market place name server at a time but, you you can list at other market place that are not part of GoDaddy distribution network!

I used to take $1.5 profit upward, then repeat as many times. But if I noticed it's favouring my direction, I simply put stop loss at my $1.5 profit, with that once I hit $5 am going with that simple, have manage to take $7.5 In Total today! My stop loss is always at $$2.

yeah. You are right! the only problem the guy have, is not dropping sales report. He has been trying when it comes to solving problem related to domains. I'm not happy on that though, but that's the part he chose. I love the guy , and I know he had been successful on this business. He doesn't want us to know his secrets that's why he's not dropping his sale report (selfish act) let's not bother much about it. I believe one day he would change.

Me personally, most of the sales reported here I barely check the names, I just want to see someone making sales every month so that I can be motivated to work more harder. Is not like I encourage it but in every sales report I see here, there is spirit of motivation that is added to me. I don't care about the name, I just want to see people making sales and be successful in this business. You especially, what is the essence of telling us you make sales every month without telling us what was sold. Do you think that is necessary??

I almost make the exact comment yesterday, I just held myself back, that guy is too annoying, only God knows how he is in person! If a person just come out and make half report, he will be the first person to attach him/her, and the person may stop posting sales because of that. That guy has never been of any good contribution since I know him here except to post rubbish that annoyed someone. I registered four expired domains on the 10th and 11th of September, 2023. The domains are due to expire on the 12th of September, 2024. I've been trying to get leads to buy my domains but none ha shown interest yet.
