Good day scholars...I recieved review report from a paper I submitted to Taylor and Francis and the editor prompted me to submit the graphs in editable format whereas the graphs were created in MATLAB and exported as a jpeg figure. My question is; how can I make the graphs editable? How can I export the graphs directly from matlab to excel...

Thank you and it’s a nice move to start your PhD. If you go back few pages, you will find where I had explained how and where to publish your research out put and also how to search for emerging research topics.

Searching for topics; you or anybody can do that directly. First, do you have any research area that interests you? Any challenges or issues around you, your country or global that you wish a solution can be created? Do you think some problems or specific stuffs are underrepresented or may lead to bigger issues if not treated or not propagated?

PhD is about providing a solution to an issue via research. After lots brainstorming and you can use academics search engine (I have listed them few pages backward) as aid, then come up with atleast 5-10 research topics. Show it to senior colleagues, you can write it here or weigh friend. Then people will assist you in refining the work to suit your interests.

My Latest Research: Low-cost Electrochemical Biosensors for self-monitoring of Glucose for Diabetes Patients and Immunosuppressive Drugs During organ Transplants.

In my lab, We modified Screen-printed electrode with electroactive AgIO3/MgO nanorods and enzymes for fast self-monitoring of glucose level in blood, urine or sweat for diabetes patients. The device is robust, highly sensitive, selective and comparatively efficient. Using engineering economy analysis, the cost of production of our electrochemical biosensor is 1.2 USD and designed to be disposable.

Some of the Application of Electrochemical Biosensors:

1. Glucose monitoring in diabetes patients, other medical health-related targets,
2. Environmental applications e.g. the detection of pesticides, toxins and river water contaminants such as heavy metal ions
3. Remote sensing of airborne bacteria e.g. in counter-bioterrorist activities
4. Determination of drug residues in food, such as antibiotics
5. DNA biosensors for medical diagnostics, forensic science, agriculture applications such as fruit ripening and expire wines etc.

My Current Research: Highly Flexible Supercapacitor Fabrication for Energy Storage

The rapid increase in the global energy consumption and the environmental impact of traditional energy resources has led to tremendously increased research activities on clean and renewable energy sources recently. As these new energy forms are intermittent or regionally limited (e.g., water), there is a pressing need to develop advanced energy storage systems, such as supercapacitors, for efficient storage of electrical energy at all scales ranging from solar through wind farms to wearable electronics.

My team: Myself (Supervisor), 3 PhD students, 6 undergraduate students

Funding: Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and Cyprus Science University Campus Research Funding

Funding amount and duration: 10,000 USD (6 months timeline)

Electrode and Electrolyte Materials: Electrode materials will be fabricated from waste chewing gum and electrolyte from extracted cassava or irish potatoes.

Applications
The supercapacitor will be applied for energy storage in a small-scale in applications Including transport, stationary, flexible, wearable and micro-supercapacitors.

Publication: Outcome will be published in quality Journals of Power sources, Energy Chemistry etc and presented at international conferences.

You can publish your undergraduate research irrespective of the field. As you journey thru ur MSc/PhD, you will have to keep publishing. Your publications does not have to be on a particular field. You can publish articles in any area of your specialization (e.g, any area of microbiology). Just obey one rule: your articles must contribute to knowledge. My brother leave this people, they don't understand..... all I know is whether or not it leaked, pins were generated for non-candidates, or there were technical issue.....my name will sha come out in the list for OSS...Jehovah has the final say, and he has said My case is different!!!!

on the issue of generation of pin, alot of candidates in my center had problem logging in with their pin, hence flexisaf was mandated to generated pin for them to enable them take the exam since they all have their invitation letters...

sincerely, lets move on from this and pray for divine favor.......

we all come here to complain as if we are saints, i bet most of you guys complaining would have fall a victim if you wrote with the later batches..... i wrote at Chamscity Abuja and the irregularities was an ad infinitum...... in-fact if flexisaf should punish any among the test takers, it should be the batch A (8.00M), because they started it all.. while i was in the queue, those guys came out with loads of copied words, in-fact they'll even give it to you even if you don't ask for it. the worst of all was that the security agents were all there watching without even making an attempt to curtail the menace.... and to my surprise, some guys are so naive by sharing the questions among those from there states ........... despite how tough the exam was, people still have the time to copy out those words when one can actually utilize that time to meditate well.....

A friend of mine studied Agric and Bio-resources engineering. during the last Npower scheme, he opted for Agro, wrote the test but was not shortlisted.. the reverse was the case for a friend who studied mechanical engineering and was unable to do the test..............

Hence i dont think discipline really matters ...judging from above

There is production engineering in Mech engineering as well, in this case it is pet production engineering, could be surface or subsurface . It's fully pet engineering and not related to Mech engineering. The closest to Mech engineering in pet engineering is drilling. You should have asked some of this things before applying

You must sufficient amount to show that you can afford this trip on you own. So do the math. Asking someone to transfer an amount into your account may be viewed as money lodgement by the ECO to get the visa. Since its a summer school, the organizer should send you a sponsorship letter. Check back through the thread and you will find an example of such a letter.
