Hahahahaha Teeema how u dey na. You lamented about your 2.2 depriving you of jobs. Do u know that most of those U07 that graduated with first class are still jobless? Just 12percent of the entire U07 2.1 are working? Infact Babaye had 2.2 but he works with the federal ministry of mining and steel right now. I know of about 3 mechanical guys working with Ajaokuta steel company limited and they all got 2.2.
2.2 is a low grade agreed, but it won't hinder your progress.
I will advice you to build more on your career, make yourself more employable by acquiring other relevant skills. I do more of mechanical and electrical work in my current place of work despite the fact that I'm a metallurgical engineer.
Finally, since the incoming administration promised to focus on mining, I will advise you to send your CV to Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited and National Iron Ore Mining Company Itakpe, I heard they're accepting CV. Good luck and don't loose hope.

Don't be naïve! That's because the programme it's going to hold outside Nigeria. With 20k you can get a sharp sharp passport in 2 days and apply for this. Don't delay if you are interested, it will cost you nothing to apply except being a holder of a Nigerian passport if you had none.

But can one insert a number while one present a passport after the selection stage?

You are welcome bro. Yes you have a good chance for the Erasmus programme (depends on the course to an extent) but you will need to put in a strong application, Statement of Purpose, CV (Europass format) and good references.

In summary, you should be able to clearly show them what you have achieved in life with the education you have acquired so far.

Hello bro! About 2 years ago, when I decided I was going to do my master's outside Nigeria, with a scholarship in mind. I asked a friend at MIT, a similar question and this was his response:

" Hello Seun.
In a nutshell, your CGPA isnt quite good, and
may limit your chances, but should not stop you
from applying.
1. You should do your best to present an
application that is super-stellar in every other
area (-which of the fields of Pol Sci offered by
MIT do you want to study, and have you had any
accomplishments in this field? Published work?
Prestigious internship(s)? Do you have anyone
that can seriously attest to your ability to
succeed in a place like MIT?
2. I spent a few minutes on the MIT pol sci page,
and it appears they dont get many students from
Africa, and are most focused on US policies and
that of a few other developed nations, judging
from the job placements of previous graduates.
While this appears to be a cause for concern, it
should push you to put together an excellent
application. Who knows, the dept may just be
looking to expand its impact in other continents.
3. Dont apply to top schools only. I can
understand the desire to want to have an
Harvard or MIT degree, but just in case this
doesnt happen, you should have other options
you are comfortable with. I expect there are
good programs at other schools too. Some may
even have focus of training those from
developing nations, and may provide special
funding for them [MIT pol sci dept appears not to
directly fund students]. Do your research.
4. PhD candidates in engineering/science
programs usually get fully funded. If the same
applies in pol sci, you may want to apply to
straight-phd programs that you are comfortable
with. But then, the standards are much higher
than for candidates applying for a masters
degree first. So, you should mix this [apply for
masters in some schools (maybe the top ones)
and PhD in some].
5. Proactively explore all external funding
opportunities that you may have. You dont want
to get admitted and end up not going simply
because you didnt plan adequately for funds.
Realistically assess your parents' finances, your
state govt's scholarship oppotunities, etc
6. Pray"

U don't say such thing in a country were everything is almost possible. Infact about 5-10 guys wrote with me without an IV, its all about confidence and ability to talk well. Those guys came in boldly and told them they lost their phone. And after some brief dialogue, the wrote the test. Infact one of them score 67

Nawaooo with the look of things, its as if I am the only one that wasn't invited for the test. I applied for lecturer 2, welding and offshore technology ransacked my email but no traces of IV was found

A friend of mine who is a non_nairalander, wrote on monday and narrated to me that b4 the test, the man who addressed them told them that the cut off mark is 60%.

I studied same course with you but have not receive invitation. Maybe it is as a result of the qualifications req. I.e NDT, offshore experience

Ideally, the authorities that ward this advertisement made some mistakes. This position was supposed to be for HND electrical/mechanical graduates because it is a trainee technician role.
The 12months listed training was supposed to be for technicians/HND graduates. I have been following this trend and haven't seen a HND graduate who claims that he/she received a test invitation.

lol. Its not that am laffin you. Am just laffin away my sorrow cos its really frustrating. How could I have failed this test after all the sleepless night I spent practicing all what I can lay my hand on and I was really confident after the test that I know what I did. Well only God knws.

From all indications, the abstract and verbal was okay. The electrical should be okay for the electrical guys as_well, but I guess the mechanical is tough for the mech guys. I am a metallurgical and materials engineer, questions from my field was not much. I enjoyed the test and I'm hoping for the best. May God bless our hustle
