Good job. Keep up the pressure. Make I see how level-less Tinubu won't release him before the end of the month. Blaming binance for your country's woes, then thinking it is a good idea to kidnap a US citizen when there are laid down guidelines of how such an international exchange should happen. They think what they did with Nnamdi Kanu will work in this instance. Newsflash, Tigran is NOT part-Nigerian. The game is on. |

tctrills:don't mind nairalanda1. I don't even bother again, because he consistently downplays the corruption. The response is always even if they removed the corruption same noni, which I know damn well to be blatantly false. The reason y'all should expect 1k and above to be the norm is cos of Thubv's stupidity floating the currency and removing subsidy at the same time. There is common sense and situational leadership..like I have always pointed out to the dude, economic theories don't always work in real life as compared to on paper esp for this naija, and I always reference the local rice Vs foreign rice noise that economists and Bubu made. How far today? Use book theory run business for naija, if your business no pack up in one year, call me king 😁 There is situational leadership backed by common sense, not just using theories like a prescription...esp when history says they are not guaranteed to work. If they had prevented the naira from burning, the anguish felt today would have been greatly minimised. Subsidy would have still been removed and cos the currency is stable and holding strong, the hyperinflation wouldn't have happened, and fuel would still be in the 600's max. Now with the current value of the naira, even if Dangote starts today na above 1k una go buy am, if they don't pay him subsidy. How have the economic theory prescriptions helped so far? They have fumbled and gone back to their vomit on both moves.....due to a lack of common sense. Nothing surprising here for me, I don already talk every for my thread earlier in the year. https://www.nairaland.com/8017949/way-nigeria-people-govt-got |

Sccarrr:and will still be the reality after the refineries begin, thanks to your stoopid president who swiftly made your currency tissue paper. Petrol costs more to refine than diesel, so if Dangote is selling diesel at the rate of 1000 for 1million litre orders, and there is rousing applause, how much do you reckon he will sell petrol that costs more to refine? Well, maybe if they pay him subsidy sha. As long your country's currency is worthless, be prepared for this new reality 2 Likes |

I remember the many times I prayed for this girl..cos her case/story really touched me. All I wanted was for God to deliver her from these marauders, as he did Paul and Silas. I wanted to see her case be one that will manifest the power of God. If I say this news no weak me, na lie. Well, you are God unquestionable. If this is how you want it, Glory be to your name all the same. |

Bear in mind, the last population census took place even before I went for youth service in the north in 2010. Everything since then has been estimated. I can say it with my full chest that even the percentages of the Hausa-Fulani bloc alone has increased exponentially. These guys are the ones fuelling the population explosion. How many children Yoruba or Igbo don born since last census? Fulani alone go don quintuple the number, and all those babies that disease, insurgency and hunger did not kill since the last census in 2006, likely were all of legal voting age in 2023 election, won't even talk of the illegals. That is why I feel no pity for the travails of northern Nigeria as a whole. Cos it is deliberate, self-motivated, and self-inflicted. They have only one strategy, strength and pride: their numbers! |
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Treadway: 10:25am On May 06 |
anonimi:I will say this once and very bluntly. When election comes there is almost always a united Northern Nigeria! Sprinkle of religion, remember? When election comes there is almost always never a united southern Nigeria. EOD Fact remains bloc by bloc, the Hausa Fulani have the highest numbers as a standalone bloc, more than Yoruba or Igbo. When will Yoruba and Igbo and other southerner unite to be formidable, like you have opined in your earlier calculation, me i no know. |

Gerrard59:they are largely dumb as rocks is why. There is mad money in the north! mad money! but concentrated in the hands of very very few. Has always been that way. The south's enlightenment is our saving grace. Thanks to people like Awolowo. We are so vastly educated and enlightened, and that is why we are more prosperous. You can have rights and not even know how to use them! 3 Likes 1 Share |

anonimi:Hausa-Fulani are not less. Wetin you dey talk na. Do you really believe Southern Nigeria has more numbers?? I would implore you to perish the thought. This one is not propaganda o, the north has far more numbers. Their crazy birth rate is enough evidence, as in enough said. Haba If you feel they are more quality, no lele. The quality dey show wella. |
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Treadway: 10:05am On May 06 |
Gerrard59:brozay, this one no enter The Hausa Fulani practices right to inquiry (the things they inquire about fit just dey worrthless and disappointing), they enjoy personal freedoms (too much freedom even, they get away with things we won't dare do in the south), the right to choose (they enjoy and brag about this one sef, even though no be sensible choices), right to criticize (they can even burn you or slit your throat with no consequence in broad daylight if you be Christian, elite or not). They enjoy these rights, but are too dumb to use it in any way that is empowering, even to them. Do they criticize their leaders who pauperize them? No, not cos they can't, but they don't even have the sense or will to, but sprinkle a little religion and see that they know damn well how to exercise these rights. |

anonimi:by a dysfunctional democracy..i spelt that out, how did you not see that? You used Nigeria as an example, and rightly so. Our dominant group are archaic, and so thanks to democracy which is a game of numbers we largely remain archaic, cos unlike I who is exposed and educated and have two children, they at 15/16 years old probably already have more children than I do, and has been so for as long as I can remember. Southern Nigeria isn't the bloc fuelling the population explosion over the last 30 years, northern Nigeria is. My parent's generation, average number of children born no fit pass 3. Our generation, pretty sure the average is 1 That's how |

anonimi:sorry, just went back to re-check his post, and saw that he didn't put that there. So I will rightly help him upgrade/flesh up that concept. The quality of the dominant group matters o. As you have rightly identified, as in the case of Nigeria, when the dominant group is still largely archaic, then we have what we have. Which is one of the reasons why we wonder how we keep getting the worst of us in the so-called democracy. It is cos the numbers of those who DONT have any semblance of sense far outstrips the number of those who do. The dominant racial group we have is plagued with willful poverty and a gross aversion to education, and thus an aversion to a progressive existence....and that is one of the prime reasons we are where we are today. They know this and carry the badge of their huge numbers with pride.... unfortunately doing so ninu oshi at ise (lack and despondency), and dragging the rest of the country into the abyss. Democracy is actually not just govt of the people as we tend to chorus, but in reality govt of the majority of the people....now when the quality of that majority is shit, then you are doomed. Will our dominant block somehow in no time become wiser, more enlightened, more educated? your guess is as good as mine. Maybe in 300 years 1 Like |

Two countries with almost same population numbers, and look at how one has taken off. The right people and leadership is KEY! When will/how can Nigeria have the right people? The majority are runts, some willfully, some by circumstance. So sad. 2 Likes |

The other day folks were dropping lines that would make you think Russians hide under their beds from intense fear, but thankfully same day we saw the parade of destroyed tanks in same Russia and a ton of people having a blast, taking pics etc. All the times I went to China I no see this forced labour wey BBC report, which has long been debunked but somehow has been seared into the hearts of many, despite no evidence. All the times I went to China I didn't see eerie fear in the people's eyes and somehow they still have over a billion of them living there. Funny how mechanised China would opt to used hand pickers to pick cotton in the field in place of machines that are far cheaper and faster. The west have really succeeded, people believe them without asking questions these days. So much for a democracy that still successfully conditions you to think ONLY the way they want you to think. Can we call that autocracy in disguise...? Lol 5 Likes |

I ask cos you effortlessly parrot these sensational lines 'history of forced child labour' Yet you only say these due to rumors and not from availability of incontrovertible evidence. jedisco:your bolded line, is one of the things we agree on. Autocracy is an option, and does not necessarily have to be seen as evil. Democracy is an option, and does not necessarily have to be seen as good....and vice versa. If you're a one-way thinker, that's fine too, but it is rather shallow to say someone is deadly simply because he isn't a one-way thinker as you are, and considers autocracy as an option. 4 Likes |
