In what appeared to be a continuation of their sustained inter-rivalry clash, the fighters of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) at the weekend attacked the enclaves of Boko Haram, during which six of them were reportedly killed.

ISWAP had in a silent operation stormed the home of Boko Haram insurgents in Gajibo, a town 95km northeast of Maiduguri, Borno State capital and slaughtered six whom they declared as “infidels”.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, the attackers also recovered five AK47 riffles from the Boko Haram terrorists.

ISWAP had carried out many successful attacks against Boko Haram terrorists in its sustained feuds, which caused the group a huge casualty and loss of war assets.

The worsening of inter-rivalry clashes, between jihadist groups, may lead them to irreversible self-destruction as the revolting ISWAP had vowed to battle more with members of its former main body than even with the Nigerian troops.

The same Atiku handicapped PDP when he took a fraction - nPDP - out of PDP in 2015, joined APC, in his eternal drive for power to return to his northern region. President GEJ's PDP lost the election because of Atiku's betrayal.
Atiku is still on his struggle to make power remain in his north, that's why he jumped into PDP presidential primaries in 2022 to preempt any possibility of a southerner in PDP emerging successor to President Buhari.

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as destroyers, adding that they don’t deserve to be supported.

Atiku, who stated this while addressing party supporters in Benin, Edo State, Saturday during his party’s presidential rally, urged the people to continue to be loyal to the PDP.

He said the APC has destroyed the educational system, economy, infrastructure and failed to address the security challenges facing the country.

The former Vice President also reiterated his commitment to tackle insecurity, improve economy, unify the country and fight insecurity.

Atiku stated “We have promised to reunify this country. What do we mean by that? We mean we are going to give each and every part of this country a sense of belonging. You will not be excluded in anything.

“Two, we promise to restore security. Whatever it is going to take us to do it, we will restore security in this country so that you can travel day and night, so that you can go to your farms, so that you can go to anywhere secured.

“We will put more policemen on the streets. We will equip them; we will fortify them and since we have promised to devolve more powers to the states and local governments, you can also have your own local police. We shall make sure your local police don’t harass you.

“Three, we will send back all our eligible children to school. They must go to school; every child must go to school.

“If you remember, during the PDP years, we established compulsory primary school education from primary to secondary school and we are tasking Nigerians to educate these children. But this government is not keeping to that promise. We promise you; every child must go to school and our universities will not go on strike.

“Again, we promise to revive the economy of this country. We will make sure that our industries, our factories, resume production in this country. We will make sure that there are enough jobs for our youths who are passing out from the schools. This is what we mean by reviving the economy.

“You have seen how APC has destroyed this country, destroyed the economy of this country. They have destroyed your educational opportunities. They have destroyed your job opportunities. APC is not a party to be supported. They are destroyers.

“Therefore, we call on you to continue to be loyal to PDP and PDP will be loyal to you”.

Ironically, Soludo is fighting same in Anambra State as stated by one of yours below. Meaning, such was institutionalised in the state ruled by present "saviour" of your children future. Shouldn't that be your main concern? Or is it a taboo for igbos to be concerned with what happens in the East?
