THE Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, has produced an 18-year- old Boubini Jones-Wonni, as best graduating student from Miles College, Metropolitan Birmingham, Alabama, United States of America, USA.


Jones-Wonni who was declared by the university authority as best graduating student on May 5, 2018, got her admission in 2014 after making the best result in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSCE, at the Word of Faith Group of Schools in Abuja and was also the best student at age of 14.

She hails from Arogbo in Ondo State and was one of the children from the Niger-Delta states that sat for a special exam conducted by KAPLAN in Lagos to select the best to study in the university under the PAP, by a former Coordinator and Adviser on the PAP to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Hon. Kingsley Kuku.

She was initially granted admission by the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, at age 15 to study Medicine, but could not make it to the school due to late resumption. She therefore settled for Miles College in Alabama to pursue her first degree in Biology.

Born on October 23, 1999, she started her education at Banky’s Private School in Abuja, where because of her intelligence, she was asked to enroll for the common entrance at primary three. She made the best result and was admitted into Word of Faith Group of Schools in Abuja, where she sat for the 2013/2014 SSCE and had an outstanding result with ‘As’ and ‘Bs’ in all her subjects, and was made valedictorian of the year.

She said: “I want to express my gratitude to God and then to the Federal Government through the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, to avail me of this opportunity to gain admission into Miles College in Alabama to pursue my first degree in Biology.

“Today, I have successfully completed the programme, I thank God for being with me throughout the programme, and He crowned my effort. I was not expecting this but I thank God.”

Meanwhile, Howard University, Washington D.C, USA, at the weekend granted her admission to study medicine, where she will become a trained neurologist and surgeon soon.

‘One Corner’ hitmaker Patapaa has stated that he is prepared to take Ghana music to a new level in 2018.
Patapaa believes that taking his music to the next level in 2018 will get his fans enthused and excited and he is hopeful this will help strengthen his fan base, the Pa2Pa Soldiers.

Born on Sunday, April 24, 1938, Apostle Hayford Ikponmwonsa Alile, OFR, B.A. MBA (Hon) D.Sc., attended briefly the University of Ibadan as a State Scholar in Physics and thereafter proceeded to Howard University, Washington D.C. where he earned his B.A. degree in Economics and Mathematics. He later attended Rutgers Graduate School of Management, New Jersey, USA for his MBA and the Harvard Business School for AMP.

Apostle Alile’s rich working history began as an economic and financial Consultant to Louis Berger Inc, East Orange, New Jersey, USA in 1968. Between 1969 and 1972, he served as Assistant Director, Rutgers University Entrepreneurial Development Center, New Jersey and Rutgers Minority Investment Co Inc. He worked as an Investment Adviser/Broker with Investors Diversified Services Inc, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, 1972-1973.
In 1973, he returned to Nigeria to head the Management Consulting Department of the Centre for Management Development, Lagos where he was responsible for the establishment of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMCON) and the Nigerian Association of Management Consultants (NAMCON).
Thereafter, he was appointed in 1976 as the Executive Director/CEO of the then Lagos Stock Exchange (LSE). He became the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of The Nigeria Stock Exchange in 1979 from where he retired in 1999.

He is happily married with children and currently the Spiritual Leader of St. Joseph’s Chosen Church of God International.
Asked how he managed to remain incorruptible at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the soft-talking Spiritual leader said: “Well, you know that people would always want you to do the wrong thing but from the very beginning I read out all the rules and regulations of the institution and spent much time educating them that the good that they would derive from corrupt doings will not be as big as the loss that society will gain from it. To a certain extent, I believe God was always speaking through me and guided me to pay deaf ears to corrupt discussions.
How do you feel today with reports of monumental corruption in the nation?
God means well for us and He should make His presence much more felt today than yesterday. And God can always do that for us. That God loves us and one of the great books that we read as Christians stated clear that God created man in His own image and likeness so that we can think like God. Thought of love for others, that we can speak and act like He does. He is ever ready to come and say this is the path. And this starts as an example of what the relationship between you as a person and God is right. Most of them who have followed that path, always find it very easy. You see somebody who makes a few thousand naira a month is able to pay school fees for children in the university, and you begin to wonder how come. You will find out that three out four children are on scholarship; they are able to subsidize the feeding of their parents, the clothing, the movements. And this is a joy that you can always testify to. And people will emulate you.
Will you say the Nigerian Church is winning the war against immorality?
I won’t say so. We are praying that more and more holy people come out and God is anxious. God says I can’t come from heaven above to come and help you, but if He identifies you as a good instrument, He will pump His goodness through you to others. Hopefully if you are that instrument, you have learnt a little bit to be able to multiply the goodness of God in your community. I’m very hopeful though that some people that God has used me to touch will be able to do better than I did.
How will you assess the current administration after three years on the saddle?
I believe they are trying. They inherited a very serious matter. A lot of corruption that man has been revealed, a lot have not been dealt with seriously, and more and more are still hidden. If I were God, there’s no need giving these people more because what I’ve given to them, they have not been able to spread it out to the people they are supervising. Until they are able to cleanse the environment, why should I go and continue to endow them? This is the problem we are having. And I pray that since you and I voted for them, we should go on our knees and continue to ask God to empower them to remember that they pledged to do certain things for us when we put them in power. The Lord opened their eyes and they found where corruption and dirtiness are and they have not been able to muster the energies to wash clean those dirtiness. The ones that are covered up, they have not reveal[...]

This year’s edition of West Africa’s biggest musical concert dubbed ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, June 9, organisers have announced.
The annual concert, which is the brainchild of Empire Entertainment, is built on celebrating, uniting and exploring the different yet similar musical tastes, cultures and artistes of both Ghana and Nigeria.
Over the years, the concert has seen some of West Africa’s biggest music artistes like Wizkid, M.I, Tiwa Savage, Davido, R2Bees, Samini, Kwaw Kese, Guru, 4×4, M.anifest, Timaya and Shatta Wale thrilling thousands of patrons.
This year’s event won’t be any different, as organisers have once again lined up an impressive list of chart-toppers from Ghana and Nigeria to continue the tradition of staging a memorable show.
According to the organisers, the list of A-list artistes billed to rock the event will be announced at the official launch of the event on May 8 in Accra.
Also to be unveiled at the launch will be the numerous exciting packages put together by the event’s corporate partners for music lovers across the country as part of this year’s event.
The concert will be used to celebrate Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes and also give the Ghanaian and Nigerian music fans a party like no other.
“The event is all about unification and brotherliness within the spirit of having fun with our Nigerian brothers and sisters whom we have a lot in common and there is no better way to express that than through a concert,” organisers added.
The Chief Executive Officer of Empire Entertainment, Nat Kwabena Adisi (Bola Ray), stated that Ghanaians should watch out for a big surprise from the Nigerian stars this year.
He stressed that this year’s concert certainly promises to be an unforgettable experience, adding, “It will be bigger, even more spectacular and is sure to give music fans an experience to truly relish.”

28-year-old Agnes Masogange, a Tanzanian video vixen and model who was once linked to Nigerian superstar singer, Davido is dead.

Agnes who was found guilty of drug use and was ordered to pay a total of $450,000 or serve two years in jail after a magistrate found that she was using the illicit drugs Heroin and Oxazepam, reportedly died of pneumonia and low blood pressure at 4pm on Friday, April 20, at Mama Ngoma Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Cee-C seems to be gathering support from some celebrities, despite a wide backlash from other viewers of the show for her attitude towards another housemate Tobi. One of the celebrities that have shown support is Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson.

Posting on her Instagram, the Lydia Forson told why she is drawn to the housemate, and how Cee-C‘s personal battles reflects some of the realities many viewers deal with. “What people don’t appreciate is while you’re entertained, these housemates are confined to a space , forced to interact with people they’d never in the outside world and pushed to limits only those who’ve been a part can appreciate,” she wrote. This time, the founder and leader of the International Godsway Church (IGWC) has been spotted in a new video wearing a woman’s wig in church.
In the very short video, Bishop Obinim is seen wearing a long hair wig and gesticulating like a lady while his congregants shouted in amazement.
It is not known what is the reason behind the wearing of the wig but it looks like it was all part of his preaching for the day.
The video is fast going viral since it popped up online.
Bishop Obinim, it must be noted, is no stranger to such unconventional methods of conducting his church service.
He was once in the news for asking his congregants to bring their underwear to be burnt in the church as part of a spiritual direction.
In the last few weeks, he has been trending on social media for various reasons.

A London based Nigerian lady identified as flow has taken to twitter to make a shocking revelation about Nigerian pop star, Wizkid. And according to the lady, she claimed she just had sex with the singer.
