Daniel1990:Yea...usually, neither the guy nor the lady knows what that position(on one knee) mean...but they do it 'cause everyone else is doing it. |
Well, its a really old act and the history is quite unclear...the obviously clear part is, it's a symbol of respect. Here's what i found... Respect. Honor. Surrender. Those are the reasons behind the bended knee in a marriage. As a sign of respect, the man lowers himself as an act of humility before the woman he desires to spend the rest of his life with. Furthermore, when he is on one knee, the man is faced to face with the woman’s womb, where life is created. He is honoring her body and honoring her as the Lord’s creation, which deserves to be revered. A man is surrendering himself and the rest of his life to her. He is surrendering bachelorhood for fatherhood in promising to raise children with her and remain faithful to her in all things... http://chastityproject.com/2014/07/men-propose-one-knee/ more on that link |

Its basically Agriculture...but we've not been able to comfortably tap into that as a country. Tho I believe that the real beauty of Nigeria lies in its people... from the languages(Nigeria accounts for 7% of the languages in the world)...to the cultures...to the traditions... to different dance skills...to their various insult tactics...to the various cultural attires...to the Cat and rat attitudes of some tribes towards each other...to the fact that they are happy people...to the fact that they love celebrations (a party isn't complete without Nigerian party rice "jollof rice" ...to the fact that they are people that love colours...they are creative people(when a Nigerian tries comedy, and succeeds... he ventures into acting, and succeeds...he takes a bold step to venture into comedy...and succeeds. What do you call that?...luck or creativity...creativity of course. If u think that's not true, ask Falz. The fact that they see the good side of everything makes them stand out...tho they have a lot of issues right now...but come to think of it, hasn't it always been there? In the midst of that, I'm very sure that we will still keep moving forward...That's the true Nigeria... Our beauty is in us. |
WiLdFLame:Tall... complexion:...that thin line between dark and light skinned must be a smiley(smiles a lot) as for shoulders....as long as its not paper thin...I'm fine ...I don't necessarily need any pac...its cool tho, but...fear dey catch me for dah kain tin...in fact, 6 pacs ko...amusement park ni. hair cut...I don't like mop stick head... doesn't necessarily have to have a built body...as long as there is no pot belly... |
