Quite unfortunate. If it was actually a case of brake failure, then the man should walk, unless he has been negligent. |

Iamgrey5: You are obviously also not educated enough to understand that resources are scarce, thus politicians can decide to allocate resources to whatever deem fit. You may want to steer clear of conversations which you are ignorant of how they started. My post was based on the guys assertion that citing of developmental projects depends on a people's voting pattern, and not necessarily on the idea of maximising scarce resources. The core basis of citing a project in a region is the economic significance of such project to te region and not necessarily on how the region voted in a DEMOCRACY. Did you expect the electorate to all vote for a particular candidate? Wat then would be the point of a multiparty system like ours? And what does the emboldened mean? No wonder you lots celebrate clannishness and parochialism in the name of politics. FYI, politicians can not 'decide' with a people's collective resources. What if they 'deem it fit' to allocate a percentage of the national budget to their concubines? |

etrouble: All hail Amaechi. All hail Buhari. I live around the railway corner, I see Amaechi more than I see my next door neighbor. He is always inspecting.
Politics is investment, you invest your votes and you reap infrastructure and appointments. South-West gave Buhari 60% votes n 2015 and 55% votes in 2019. Now we are reaping our investment. The North gave Buhari 70% votes in 2015 and 75% in 2019. The North is reaping its investment. South-South and South-East gave Buhari about 5% votes in 2015 and 2019. The SS and SE too are reaping their investment. You're clearly not educated enough to know that nobody owes a particular candidate in an election their vote. But elected candidates OWE the populace the dividends of governance |

Soon, someone will come to blame the 'government', as if the 'government' was not drawn from amongst us.
The government is only a microcosm and a reflection of its people. |

This may not be a popular opinion, but the mind of an average Nigerian is criminally inclined.
It does not matter whether the intended gain is marginal or whether it's minute compared to what the person already has.
Leave the financial side of your business for an average Nigerian to run unsupervised, and he will wreck you without sympathy.
He gets a job and on the first day, he is already brainstorming on how to subvert laid down procedures just to make quick gain.
You would be forgiven to think it's genetic. |
