and last mail received was 18 and 20th of September respectively for i and my baby.
My exam is first week of November.
What can I do?

is it paid for? Try and go there. If your appointment is tomorrow to see if this can be resolved. They usually reply to the feedback forms but for over 3 days or something. Have u tried this?

It’s the regular biometric, did it early hours of Thursday for myself, son and mum.
Used the same mail for my son and I , my mum has her separate mail.
Got payment confirmation for both them, then sent a mail on Friday and they are yet to get back to me .
Infact , I got an appointment reminder mail for all of us on Sunday, just wondering why I didn’t receive the appointment confirmation mail.

We both have an account on TLS with our individual visa application number.
Please is there something am not doing write?
Will it affect our biometrics especially me.

Am yet to get a response from TLS and my biometric is tomorrow.
I don’t have a payment confirmation mail.
Do they have a number I can call, been searching online for one but can’t find.
Please help.

I raised a complaint on their website when I didn’t get the confirmation mail and they responded the next day with the mail.

My bill was a bit higher cos it was an emmergency c/s also after pestering they sent some documents to me.

I also had papers from the obgyn and my bills from the peadiatrician ( in maryland ) for immunization and well baby clinic

I also printed my correspondence with henricos about the zero balance



Medical records sent a proof of medical care or something back then.

My first baby bill was also a bit high.
The document they sent me had this image on it

Declared intent , did drop box for baby 3 and was told to come for interview (trump era), scaled the interview and had baby 3.
What helped
Payed a reasonable amount for all 3 kids, while I can’t criticize anyone for paying 3k, know that during trump it was easier to renew if
-you declared your intent to have a baby
-you paid between 8-15k
-you kept to the travel time frame declared
- you had each baby with a different visa or informed them of using same visa for current pregnancy
Covid happened and I could not renew until this year
Did a drop box and got 5yrs.
My advise
Avoid freebeez
Be honest
Let your financial records be in sync
Pay all your billz
Avoid crime like a parking ticket, not declaring above $10,000
Don’t lie about anything
Be sure ur host really wants you there, sometimes they will call the person before your interview
Avoid red flags like a mother of 4 travelling with hubby and leaving all kids behind.
Don’t give ur child social security to anyone they can use it to claim benefits and it will affect you.

Thanks for giving back, I noticed that you used Henricho doctor’s hospital.
Please how did you resolved the issue at the embassy.
I used it in 2018, wasn’t given an itemized bill which I insisted on getting but the financial record lady said they don’t give.
I have a follow up appointment next month.

Also, will be glad if I can get reviews from mamas that used same hospital and have successfully renewed their visa.

Travel light ma’am.
Do your shopping before baby arrives in US and complete after baby comes.
For me I bought almost all the things my daughter used till she was 2years in the US.

Check with 3 different browsers and always clear browsing history each time. You'd not be easily banned this way and if you're banned on one browser, try another. It's a difficult task but you can achieve it. To enjoy seamless and repeated visit to the cgi portal...

1-Don't bookmark the cgi page.

2-Don't save your login details


3-Always clear browsing history

For the appointment schedules, always check between:

12pm and 12:30pm,
2pm and 2:30pm
5pm and 5:30pm.

You could get one sooner than anticipated, who knows?

Also are all "refusal" from Dropbox automatically 221g ?

I don’t av an idea about the difference, had to mail them for me to get back my passport.
Lastly you won’t know what they want not until you receive you passport back.

Please how soon does dates pop up for 221g applicants.

You're kinda worried about your situation. You need to be calm. Refusal under 221g via IW or other means isn't a denial. It simply means they need some clarification on your proposed visit and to do this, you'd have a date with a consular officer in a face-to-face interview. 90% of the time, 221g situation results in approval of a visa. A lot of factors could be responsible for this. If you overstayed during your previous trips, you'd need to explain why. If you gave birth with your B1/B2 visa, you'd need to show up for an interview and explain why. You may be asked to show proofs you paid in full and you didn't enjoy any support to offset your bills, e.g, health insurance or other means. If your purpose of visit isn't cleanly defined in your DS160 too, you'd need to provide details.

Guy, your passport will be sent back to you, wait for it. Under 221g, one cap doesn't fit all so, every applicant is treated on a case by case basis. A letter will accompany your passport which contains different refusal reasons. The VO who adjudicated on your case would tick the reason you were refused and what you need to do next...some, only DS160 and appointment printout page with passport will be requested to be brought during the interview. To others, medical bills , letters and other documents will be requested. Some parents couid be asked for finger printing of their child as well.

A refusal under 221g( administrative processing) doesn't mean you weren't qualified for IW. If you weren't qualified, you wouldn't have received an approval mail to submit your documents to a DHL office with a date in the first place. When you chose IW on the cgi portal, you received a notification that your application would be reviewed and if approved, you'd receive a mail to schedule a date for doc submission, which you did, right? A robot didn't send that approval mail, neither was it an auto response so, that's a proof you qualified for the IW.

My cousin just called. He attended his follow-up appointment yesterday. In the 221g letter which accompanied his passport, he was instructed to only print his DS160 confirmation page, bring the 221g letter, his passport and his follow-up appointment letter for his appointment. The VO didn't ask much questions after the exchange of greetings. He only asked for his passport and...how long are you staying? His visa was approved. He said to me one thing, which I'd like to draw the attention of those with 221g to. He said he checked ceac website weeks after his refusal in March and realised its been updated twice despite being refused. This seems to me that 221g isn't a total denial as many may have thought. They need to check some other things about the applicant which could mean going as far as their home office to fetch some information about you and as they're doing that, they're updating your status. He was refused in March but His status was updated 5th April and 26th April respectively and he saw the first follow-up appointment dates as released the following day, bring 27th meaning, ( in my opinion though), they were done with the administrative processing and he should now pick a date for his follow-up interview. He said he kept checking the ceac and cgi randomly in case the status would change to something else, despite being refused, only to discover a change in the date twice

My candid advice...especially fist time applicants, always use your visa for the purpose it was meant, to avoid administrative processing or any form of delay when it's time for your visa renewal. Drop box is a great opportunity which would take a lot of stress and anxiety off your neck so always take advantage of this by playing by embassy's visa rules, now that they're issuing 5 years...that's a lot. Only Canadian embassy had done that once and it was 4 years, Germany did that to me once as well, on a renewed passport. They said I don't have to always come to them, based on my application history. The drop box I had enjoyed for nearly 20 years now, hitch-free. I don't need to see most embassy's faces....just by simply playing by their rules.

I think it’s time to go and arrange our zero balance receipts.

Send a mail to lagosNIV@state.gov and quote your valid passport number as the subject, together with a short sentence like... Please help!!! My Passport is Not Back Yet and explain in details in the body of the mail.

You may also check https://dhlpassportpickup.ng/ and input your details as if you want to schedule your pick up time. If it doesn't show any error page, then your passport is at the DHL office chosen by you.

My IW was refused last month but am yet to get a mail for passport pick up.
I have been tracking my passport but still shows is at the embassy.
This afternoon I decided to check my appointment page then saw a prompt showing scheduled follow up appointment but there was no date.
Please note that I haven’t received my passport back.
Will I attend the interview without my passport?

A week after an application was issued or refused, you should be able to have your passport back. It could take longer days for applicants resident outside lagos or abuja.
