Prior to reports made by bloggers that Wizkid has never met drake, The "Come Closer" Crooner has come to clear the air about that in his latest interview.

News earlier suggested that Wizkid has never met Drake even after the three collaborations they had between themself, and the absence of Drake in "Come Closer" video moved to confirm the news and settle all claims.


In a recent interview with 4Music Official, Wizkid said whilst he didn't meet drake for the Ojuelegba song as Skepta played the song to Drake and told him to bounce on it, He actually did meet with Drake for the "One Dance" song, and subsequently "Come Closer"

Credits are accrued to Wizkid as a producer and songwriter to One Dance, and he eventually invited DJ Maphorisa to the studio to work with them, thereby giving Maphorisa his first international stint and Grammy nomination.

Ugo Ehiogu has died after suffering a heart attack at Tottenham's training ground on Thursday morning.

The Spurs Under 23s coach collapsed on the club's academy training pitches and received immediate attention from the Tottenham medical staff.

Paramedics were called and he was rushed to hospital by ambulance, but passed away in the early hours of Friday morning at the age of just 44.

The club announced the news on Friday morning, issuing a statement: 'It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Ugo Ehiogu, our Under-23 coach'.

'Ugo received immediate treatment after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Training Centre yesterday before being transferred to hospital, where he passed away in the early hours of this morning.

'The club sends its deepest condolences to Ugo's family. Gemma has specifically asked that the family are given privacy at this difficult time.

Ugo Ehiogu was of Nigerian Descent, but chose to represent England.

Cristiano Ronaldo comes for German magazine which claimed he paid a woman $375K to keep quiet about a rape accusation

Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished a German magazine's claims he paid a woman who accused him of rape $375K to keep quiet. Der Spiegel reported that the Real Madrid star was involved in the incident in 2009, and the woman was allegedly paid a settlement sum in 2010.

The root of the allegations reportedly came from a letter written by the woman - who was in her 20s at the time - but Ronaldo denies ever seeing it.

In a strongly worded statement from his agent, Ronaldo vowed to make to use all legal means at his disposal to make the magazine pay. The statement reads:

'The German newspaper Der Spiegel today publishes an extensive report on an allegation of rape alleged to have been made to Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009, ie about 8 years ago.

'It is a piece of journalistic fiction. The alleged victim refuses to be identified and corroborates the story.

'And the whole plot is based on unsigned documents and where the parties are identified by codes, in emails between lawyers who do not concern Cristiano Ronaldo and whose authenticity he does not know, and in a supposed letter that would have been sent by the putative victim, but which he never received.

'The report by Der Spiegel is false and Cristiano Ronaldo will act against this media by all means at his fingertips. The imputation of a violation is a disgusting and outrageous accusation that can not be made clear.'

Award-winning Nigerian artiste, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun whose ‘Come Closer’ video was viewed over a million times in 24 hours, was recently interviewed by Jasmine Dotiwala of British television station, Channel 4, where he talked about his plans to conquer the international music market, the rise of Afrobeats, among other issues.

Wizkid spoke on alot of topics during the five-minute long interview, and he disclosed that his father was – in the early days – trying to averse to his music career, which was most striking blow and challenge he had.


The singer said his father often wanted him to stay at home and study rather than go to record in the studio.

Wizkid was once a student of Lagos State University before transferring to Lead City University after signing to Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME). “My Dad used to fight me every time. ‘Don’t go to the studio, stay at home and study’. I just had my dreams and I followed them here. But now, people take pictures with him on the streets,” he told Channel 4.

“He’s just so proud, and that’s my joy to make them happy.”

Wizkid said Afrobeats and Afropop sounds will eventually influence the music coming out of the Western scene and ultimately “take over the world”. _ “Music is a universal language, you don’t need to understand what someone is saying to feel the music or love the music. For me, I feel like it’s just gonna bring this industry (Afrobeats) mainstream. It’s going to do a lot, it’s going to contribute, and probably take over the world,” he noted.

“Everyone has a little bit of Afropop sound-inspired. Look at Drake on his last album (“Views”), look at Alicia Keys with what she is doing right now with the sound on ‘In common’. Everything is coming back home.”

Wizkid asserted that music is the only source of joy for people on the African continent, adding that it is what endears Africa to the world.
