A student of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia state, was filmed publicly fighting his girlfriend over ?20,000.

Reports on social media say the girl, named Jane, broke up with her boyfriend and he didn't take it well, considering that he had spent on her and allegedly once paid her school fees. He stormed her class to request for his money back and it quickly escalated.

In a video shared online, the man can be seen battering the girl in front of their schoolmates. He can be seen slapping her at some point as he said, "Jane, where is my money."

Some students stepped in and tried to intervene but the boyfriend stood his ground and continued the assault.

A JAMB lesson teacher turned Kung Fu master, seen assaulting a female student, today, in Surulere, Lagos.

According to an eye witness who recoreded the shameful moment, she wrote:

Her only problem was him constantly beating her on her head. But this teacher wouldn’t listen, saying she has no right to tell him where he should flog her on... She attends Jamb lessons their... i don’t care what she did.. No one has the right to hit a student that way.
I asked a student there for the teacher’s name ( the boy on the red shirt) and he says the girl deserves to be beaten.. I was Shocked �. Like for real!! This is right to him... Addressing any situation with violence. Shit!! I thank God he isn’t my kid brother... Violence is Never the ANSWER!! Never

A massive fire is currently raging in Surulere, Lagos State.

According to report and footage shared by online user, the fire began after an explosion near Census Market area of Surulere this afternoon.

Fire Service officials are currently at the scene of the incident, trying to put out the fire. At the time of this report, there was no report of any casualty.

Generator fume has killed four kids identified as Lucky, Ebitimi, Ruth, and their cousin, Ebi, at Aghoro, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State over the weekend.

The distraught father of the deceased children, said he kept the generator at the balcony far from the room of the girls. However when he woke up at 6am the next day, he discovered that the generator had shifted close to the door of the girl’s room.

“The generator was outside but it was on tiles. The generator shifted close to the door. At about 6am, I came out to put off the generator and saw that it was close to the door. Eventually when I entered the room I saw that all the children were dead” he said

A Kenyan drug addict who went viral after he was rescued from the streets by his childhood friend in 2017 has died.

Patrick Hinga Wanjiru, who almost ran mad because of drugs was rescued a former classmate and childhood friend, Wanja Mwaura, who fed and helped get him admitted at Chiromo lane Medical Center, where he got rehabilitated.

Taking to her Facebook on Monday morning to share the sad news, Wanja said Patrick had gone to visit his friends on Thursday before calling his mother to complain about stomach-ache, but it wasn't serious. She also noted that he spent the night with his friends but on Saturday night when the problem persisted, he went to a hospital where he passed on.

Sanusi Munira Adamu, a final year student of the Department of Computer Science at the Usman Dan Fodio University in Sokoto state, died in a fatal accident.

According to reports, Munira who was heading back to school to complete her project, was killed after the vehicle she was traveling in, had a head on collision with another vehicle. She died on the spot.

Her remains have since been buried according to Islamice rites. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

The Nigerian nationals identified as Emmannuel Tochukwu Olisakwe, 55, and Friday Ekene Ochiaka, 41, were arrested in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi area and accused of sending an email inviting people to wire money to an investment fund.

The scam cited the name of a well-known financial institute’s executive to boost credibility.

Police found that the two men then wired the ill-gotten money to an accomplice identified as Daniel Abuah – who is still at large and being sought.


This case was launched after the executive whose name was used heard through a friend about the scam email and filed a complaint.

Besides the charge of fraud, the two Nigerians are also accused of overstaying their visas for nearly two years.

DSS will soon arrest that Kola Ologbondiyan. He talks too much

People's Democratic Party, PDP, demand the release of Comrade Austin Okai, the spokesman of PDP campaign organization who was abducted in Kogi State.

Recall that Mr. Austin Usman okai, Atiku's Presidential Spokes Person Kogi state chapter was abducted by the men of Department of State Security Services, (DSS) on the eve of the presidential and national assembly elections.

The party through it National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said:

Comrade Austin Okai, the spokesman of the PDP, Atiku/Peter Obi Campaign Organization In Kogi State, was abducted on Friday 22, February 2019, by men of the Department of State Security Services, (DSS).

Comrade Austin was outspoken and always telling truth to power, especially on the maladministration and high handedness of the Yahaya Bello administration in Kogi State.

We therefore call on the DSS to free Comrade Austin Okai now. If the DSS has anything against him, he should be arraigned in court immediately, otherwise, holding him without any allegation is unconstitutional and an invitation to anarchy.
