Nigerian medical doctor and Pastor, Tony Rapu saves a female drug addict identified as Lizzy from the street of Lagos.

Lizzy speaking to Tony Rapu revealed she has spent seven years in drug addiction and she lived to make money to pay the drug dealers.

Tony Rapu says "she is currently undergoing her first stage of detox and rehabilitation in the long journey out of addiction. We hope and pray she returns to a normal and productive life afterwards"

Tony wrote:

We picked up Lizzy over the weekend. Here, she tells a bit of her story while awaiting our arrival at the joint she frequented in Ikeja. Lizzy tells about her upbringing, her addiction to crack cocaine and the depraved night life she lived to make money to pay the drug dealers. .

Government House Photographer, Mr. Reginald Dei and Peoples Democratic Party Ward Chairman for Oweikorogha, Mr. Seidougha Taribi, who were killed by soldiers during the last elections were buried today amidst tears.

The were killed in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state during the presidential and National Assembly elections last month.

Speaking during a meeting with political appointees in Yenagoa yesterday, Governor Seriake Dickson accused the leaderships of the nation’s security agencies of deliberately shielding the perpetrators of the heinous acts from justice.

A 14- year-old boy, Huzaifa Abdulrashid, drowned while bathing in a stagnant pool called “Promise” at Gwarzo Road in Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State today, Friday, April 12th.

According to reports by online source, the father of the boy, Malam Habibu Ibrahim, found his son's body floating in the water. He alerted the Kano State Fire Service whose officers rushed down to the scene and evacuated the body.

Residents say the boy took a deep in the pool because of the intense heat that the state has been facing for a while.

His corpse was handed over to the Ward Head of Dandago, Alhaji Abubakar Sani.

The 25-year-old midfielder scored five goals in five games for his English lower league side Rotherham United in the month under review.

Ajayi first joined his present club in 2017 on a loan deal scoring once in seventeen appearances for them.

He however bagged a permanent deal with the Millers after the expiration of his temporary stay at the New York Stadium.

After being presented with the award, the Super Eagles defender is delighted with the recognition, adding that his teammates contributed to his success all through the month.

Ajayi said: “It is a massive honour, and it is something I am really pleased to receive. I have to say though that the award is a team effort, I wouldn't be in the position to collect the award without my team mates.

"During the month we performed well in a number of games, picking up some vital points. It was a good all round team effort. I am also hugely grateful to the staff, who have been brilliant.

"It was a good month, and to be given the award ahead of some very stiff opposition is even more pleasing.

"The season is coming to a close now, but from a team perspective we are still fighting hard to keep this club in the Championship, and from a personal point of view this will also give me confidence going into the remaining games this season."

Ajayi made his debut for the Nigeria national team last year, and could be one of the players to feature for the team in Egypt this summer.

The 23-year-old joined the Championship side before the start of 2018 World Cup from his former team CD Feirense.

His goal came on the back of his 25th appearance for the Potters eight months after his switch last summer.
