bomasek:Lol.. Its normal for every upcoming boxers to fight not so ranked fighters because one no established pro boxer will give no name boxer a chance. Mike Tyson did it, same with David Haye, Fury, etc but when they brought Dillian Whyte to test AJ ability didn't AJ KO him? When Charles Martins called him out after wining IBF tittle didn't AJ accepted? Even when people were saying it is too early in his career? This is how boxing works, its about ranking and top boxers giving dangerous fighter like AJ a chance. Trust me Charles Martins is taking a big risk by fighting AJ, win or lose he Charles is a winner. I understand British crowd will always support their own but how come other British boxer are not generating similar sales? This fight ticket was sold within 90 seconds. While Tyson Fury is struggling with 6000 shirt sales, AJ merchandise selling like a wildfire. Currently no heavy weight fighter is generating similar buzz. On David Haye don't forget he retired after calling off his fight against Tyson Fury twice claiming injury. Now because he is broke, he is looking for huge pay day. He should find his way up the rank first. |
bomasek:You can call AJ other things but to say he is not the real deal? Bro check figures, he is the one carrying heavyweight division right now. He ignites the crowd like no other, and to get a title fight after just 15th fights means he is the real deal. If you don't know he get paid more than Tyson Fury per fight because of the crowd he command. Haye knows himself that he would have to fight his way up and don't forget haye was once part of AJ training camp. They want to fight but Haye is just not on that level right now, he needs to fight more reasonable fighters not wash-up Mark. |
bomasek:Broke Haye needs to fight his way up, good fighters not weak Mark de Mori. He needs to prove he has what it takes after coming out of retirement. |
Nihilist:Tyson Fury is just jealous of AJ prowess and the crowd he command. This is the same way he put down Chris Eubank prior to Blackwell fight, and we all see what happened after the fight, Blackwell in comma. I can't take anything Fury says serious because he was the same person that said AJ almost knocked him out during sparring in 2013, the same year AJ turn pro. AJ is still work in progress and he will continue to grow. He is the hardest working heavyweight, focus and dedicated. |
tellwisdom:He is a professional boxer |
honeric01, semid4lyfe, Nihilist 50calibre tellwisdom what do you guys think about Anthony Joshua IBF fight today |
Background Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua was born in Watford to a Nigerian mother and a father of Nigerian and Irish descent. His cousin is fellow unbeaten professional boxer Ben lleyemi. The pair made their professional debuts together in 2013. Joshua grew up for much of his early years in Nigeria and returned to the UK halfway through Year Seven to join Kings Langley Secondary School. Growing up on the Meriden Estate in Garston, Hertfordshire, Joshua was called 'Femi' by his friends and former teachers, due to his middle name 'Oluwafemi'. He excelled at football and athletics and broke the Year Nine 100m record with a time of 11.6 seconds. Amateur career A late starter in the sport, Joshua only began boxing in 2007, aged 18, when his cousin suggested he take it up. His club, Finchley ABC in Barnet, North London, is also home to professional heavyweight Dereck Chisora. Joshua won the 2009 and 2010 Haringey Box Cup. Joshua won the senior ABA Championships in 2010, in only his 18th bout, and later turned down £50,000 to turn professional. "Turning down that £50,000 was easy. I didn't take up the sport for money, I want to win medals." He also went on to win the same tournament the following year. In 2010 his domestic success earned him a place on the GB Boxing team and later the same year he became British amateur champion at the GB Amateur Boxing Championships after defeating Amin Isa. In June 2011 at the 2011 European Amateur Boxing Championships he beat Eric Berechlin and Cathal McMonagle but was stopped by aggressive Romanian southpaw Mihai Nistor after receiving several standing counts. In October 2011 he was named Amateur Boxer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Club of Great Britain. 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships During the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, Joshua marked his sudden arrival on the world scene when he beat Italian reigning World & Olympic champion Roberto Cammarelle, and went on to stop Erik Pfeifer of Germany in the semis before losing by a single point to local boxer, Magomedrasul Majidov winning a silver medal. En route to the final, Joshua secured his place at the 2012 Olympic Games in the 91 kg+ when he won a Gold medal. Professional career Joshua made his professional debut on 5 October 2013 at the O2 Arena in London in the Main-Event of a card featuring Scott Quigg's successful WBA super-bantamweight title defence against Yoandris Salinas, beating Italian Emanuelue Leo by a TKO in the first round. Joshua fought Dillian Whyte for the vacant British Heavyweight title on 12 December 2015, whilst also defending his Commonwealth Heavyweight title for the first time. The two had previously fought within the amateur rankings in 2009 where Whyte had won. After surviving the first scare of his career in the second round, Joshua won the fight after initially shaking Whyte with a right hook to the temple and eventually finishing with a devastating uppercut for the knockout in the seventh round, making it the furthest distance either fighter has gone in a professional fight to date. IBF World Title Anthony Joshua will bid to become the second current British heavyweight world champion today, Saturday, April 9, when he fights American Charles Martin at the O2 Arena in London for the IBF world title. Joshua - still best known to British fans for winning the London 2012 heavyweight boxing gold medal at the Excel Arena - only turned professional in July 2013. Since then he has fought 15 times, winning all of them. Edited - AJ defeated Charles Martins in second round to emerge as the new IBF heavyweight champion of the world.

barleeh:I think any good hospital will do just fine. |
I don't know why people are making this about the OP, this is just a wake-up call to all the youths. I mean Thomas Sankara took over in 1987, he was just 33 years old and died as the most charismatic African icon, Kwame Nkrumah was 48 when he led Ghana to independence from Britain, but has been active since his 20s. Gowon, Azike, Buhari, Awolowo, Wole Soyinka, Patrice Lumumba, etc were prominent figures during their 20s, what we have now is Omojunwa, Adeyanju and co twitter rants. No single person is taking a proactive role, not even Seun Kuti with all his noise, until we realize this old men can't pilot this ship called Nigeria to the shore but continue to concentrate power within their circle and gradually lay foundation for their kids to take over we won't do anything. |
Jayne2014:For students, they just need their upkeep and school fees, if they've not paid, but they don't ask students to declare since schools usually pick them up. |
northvietnam:$1500 is enough, that is about 6,045.27 MYR, your hotel and feeding for 14 days shouldn't be more than 2000 MYR, depending on your taste/choice. At least that was the amount the person I picked up on Saturday came in with. |
onelife97:It was actually a Russian doctor at their Novolazarevskaya station. |
northvietnam:About $1500 should do |

I don't understand how someone in this modern age think it is in her place to tell the other person how to write his story, when no one is stopping her from writing hers. |
Bizibi:Do you have BLCO allocation? |
modath:His words.. Bizibi:How is gaining ground same as gaining in value? By gaining ground he is referring to global market-share, the reason shell had to come in because they represent Shale oil (WTI). And I don't see them as a competition in Africa because (one) They sell different type of oil,WTI, Nigeria sell BLCO which is categorized as Brent crude, (two), they are gradually pulling out of African market, downsizing. And if he had said gaining in value he is equally right because WTI (Shale oil) has been gaining for the past four weeks. My last response to you, please read up more. |
Bizibi:Oga we are talking about global oil market, its Royal Dutch Shell (Shell), Eesti Energia, Viru Keemia Grupp, Petrobras and Fushun Mining Groupnot that sell Oil Shale feedstock. Shale oil is extraction unit please. |
modath:Like always you failed again, Royal Dutch Shell Plc. is simply referred to as Shell (shell oil) and they are currently downsizing http://royaldutchshellplc.com/category/shell-job-cuts/ Its the company Shell that is downsizing, not oil shale, the product or the process "Shale oil extraction". That was why I asked "if he is talking about the same Shell" |
Bizibi:Why did you think I ask you if it is the same shell oil that is downsizing? |
Bizibi:I am sure they do, but we are talking about nations. Shell is no competition |
Bizibi:You mean same shell that is downsizing ? |
valslove8715:Most of them are unrealistic like a gambler ![]() |
drss:The thing is oil like other commodities just don't rise and fall, there must be underlying economic factors and in this case it is being contained. Most of you need to learn about global economics or stay away totally. |
modath:The first link you posted exposed your ignorance of the subject matter, when traders flee bearish bets, it means they are now positive the price will rise. A quote from your link "Hedge funds unwound bearish bets at the fastest pace in 10 months as fear of oil sinking to $20 a barrel faded." Second link, was written in January 11th prior to OPEC decision to cut production. |
Degis:I guess you are the foolish one then, if not you would have known that in commodity trading there is what is called Bottom-out. Not only has oil called bottom, oil producing nations are now instituting a model to manage its price. Henceforth, we will not see $26 a barrel any more. |
TonyeBarcanista in his last article, labeled this administration a government of failure, tears and disappointment, citing failure of this administration not to have pegged oil price below $35 a barrel but instead projected annaualized average of $38 per barrel was used. “Oil price is pegged at $38 per barrel even when oil was selling under $35 per barrel as at when the budget was presented to the parliament. Where in the world does that happen?” Said TonyeBarcanista. In which I responded “they were right to have used $38 as at the time, the OP (Tonye) just doesn’t understand how the calculation works. Oil was $33 a barrel when the budget was drafted but on a 3 months weighted average, it’s around $42 a barrel since it fluctuate depending on global market”. Currently, oil is trading at $39.50 per barrel, above $38 pegged rate and forecasted to reach around $45 a barrel before the end of the year, as OPEC member nations are meeting later this month to further curtail the situation by reducing production in order to create scarcity. So far this month, commodity-backed economies like Canada, Nigeria, Australia, etc. are showing better prospect then the rest of the world. For instance, Aussie dollar is trading at 8 months high against the U.S. dollar, while Canadian dollar (Lonnie) is trading at 4 months high and if Naira is not fixed we would be recording similar success but notwithstanding our foreign reserves surged 2.43 percent. With foreign reserves picking up, the economy will attracts more inflow of foreign currency and foreign investors interested in real growth — like Jumia that just raised $325 million, this is the only type of investment that can help actualize diversification from oil and pave way for consumption dependent economy amid sustainable exports. Imagine if the CBN had devalued the Naira, not only will our inflation skyrocket, but foreign investors would have seized the opportunity to profit enormously from the system and abscond with their gains. It is also important to note that these investors only invest in an economy with prospects, since they are investing in the future value, this means the larger portion of them somehow believed in the future of Nigeria, how come we don’t? I guess that is why most Nigerian top brands are owned by foreigners. I proposed that all the companies that left should be double taxed if peradventure they return, Truworths should be triple charged for starting it. This is because they failed to prove their commitment to Nigeria’s 2020 vision by increasing unemployment rate, creating negative perception of the economy that indirectly led to more capital outflow and most importantly for using us to further their capitalist agenda. http://investorsking.com/buhari-once-again-proved-critics-tonyebarcanista-and-others-wrong/ |

The Federal Government will next week announce plan to overhaul the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and split it into 30 firms. The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, while speaking at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Oloibiri Lecture Series in Abuja on Thursday, said the government has started resolving the governance issues in the oil and gas sector, explaining that an overhaul had not happened in the corporation for the past two decades. “For the national oil company, a lot of work is going on; I am sure some of you have seen the effects; but within the next one week, we are going to be announcing some real major overhaul of the system, one that hasn’t been done in over 20 years”, Kachikwu said. Also, stated that NNCP financial losses had reduced from N160bn recorded some six months back to about N3bn as shown in the financial report for the month of January. Explaining the restructuring plan in the oil sector, the minister said “We are starting first with simple governance issues; those that are not contentious, that are very rapid and that deal a lot with the transformation of the national oil company.” This he said would make people function in accordance with their titles and add meaning to their positions and not just administrative duties. He further explained that, “The effect of that will be to quite frankly unbundle the huge company into four to five main operational zones – the upstream, downstream, midstream, refining, and of course, every other company that is trending to the venture group.” “But what is more important is that at the same time, we are also unbundling the subsets of these companies to close to about 30 independent companies with their own managing directors; and so, titles like the group executive directors, which you have been used to in the last 30 years, will disappear; and in place of those, you are going to have chief executive officers.” “So, at the end of the day, a CEO of an upstream company must deliver upstream results, and we are very focused on that and along those chains. We are doing very dramatic things within the sector to bring the change and I am happy that we are gaining the cooperation of people within the industry; that is the only way we can guarantee sustainable career path for those in the industry.” “We are potentially moving in a direction where quite frankly for the first time in about 15 years, this company will be profitable; but that is a tip of the iceberg, because by the time these 30 companies are unbundled with their managing directors setting programmes, you are going to meet us in the active work space, we are going to be competing and we are going to make these things work.” http://investorsking.com/fg-unveil-plan-to-split-nnpc-into-30-firms-next-week/ |
