Even water corporation workers are not left out. He owed them salaries as governor and they protested on multiple occasions on deaf hears. — Scores of angry workers of Anambra State Water Corporation yesterday stormed the Awka Government House to protest before Governor Peter Obi the non-payment of 36 months of arrears of salaries. They alleged that the government was insensitive to their problems.
|
Another One. He promised a monorail in Onitsha and in 2021 we have no single trace of the said Monorail. Obi Pandora is a pathological liar.

Whilst this was going on, SARS too were dealing with people. When one of his stans put him on the spot over Akwuzu, he turned to Ogogo. He will go on ARISE and say it's because Nigeria is not providing jobs, that's why crime rate is on the rise. Agreed but which ones did he provide as governor or how did his state become a kidnapper's haven? Evans was operating there before he migrated to Lagos. Someone that did not think pensions was important till an elderly woman seized his bible. He has shamelessly told this story repeatedly because he knows Nigeria place a premium on entertainment, humility & religiosity. "Aw, he still goes to Mass", "No bodyguard?" "hehehe" mschew |
"He pay salary, he pay salary". Doctors went on strike for 13 months! Someone will just come and be bamboozling. He says Nigeria's budget per citizen on healthcare is N5/day, ask him how he much budgeted when he was governor. 2006 census puts Anambra's population at 4.1m. I doubt that man ever budgeted up to N1.5bn. Let's dash him N2bn, that's N1.3 Peter Obi: "Bringing Sanity to Anambra was one of my greatest achievements" Sanity Below: |
Looking at the numbers again, Peter Obi met a State totally dependent on FAAC, the ration of FAAC to IGR is about 83:17 and left it in that same state. They could barely pay salaries alone from the State's revenue. This is the person that wants to transform Nigeria. "Peter Obi is a businessman so he is going to create a business-friendly environment". Let's verify. In 2008, the first Ease of doing business report was piloted in Nigeria with 10 states. Anambra tied with Kano at No. 8. That means 8 out of 10. Two years later, in 2010, another ranking was done, this time capturing all the States, Anambra came 35. Under a trader, Anambra was the 35th hardest place to do business in Nigeria. |
Ngige was sworn in May 29, 2003. That year the State generated N800m in revenue. 2004, the revenue quadrupled to N3.6bn, 2005, the previous year's revenue doubled to N7.4bn. March 2006, he got booted out of office for operating with a stolen mandate and Peter Obi was sworn in same 2006, revenue dips by over 40% to N4bn, the attached pictures show the trajectory of the igr under Peter Obi. He left office in March 2014 leaving the IGR at N8bn (2013). 2014, IGR jumped to N10bn. The numbers for 2021are not yet out but 2020 puts the State's IGR at N28bn. I think there is so much to unpack here. In ~3yrs, Ngige was able x9 the State's IGR, Obiano was able to do x3.5 while Peter Obi could barely move the needle. It took Peter Obi 8 YEARS to surpass what he met on ground and the difference was just a billion. Is this the person you people are saying will perform wonders? I need to paint a picture of Ngige's three years so we understand. Ngige got sworn in May, by June, he had fallen out with his godfathers for reneging on their agreement. July, he was abducted and forced to resign. He managed to scale through that hurdle and was back in office. The ffg year, there was some court judgement that sacked him from office. The Police withdrew his security on the advice of the AGF. For 8 months, a governor was being guarded by vigilantes and private security. Same 2004, in November, hoodlums allegedly financed by the Uba brothers (Ngige's erstwhile godfathers) took over Anambra for three days, they burnt down govt buildings, the govt's radio stations, I think govt house was also torched, Ngige's office and I think his deputy's. This is the environment Ngige operated and was able to x9 the State's revenue. Peter didn't also have it easy, he got impeached same year he was sworn in but he was there for 8 YEARS. Got the keys to two major commercial centres (Nnewi & Onitsha) and this is his result.

Lying shamelessly is in Obi Pandora blood. |
The Anambra village boy is a demented fool. So I’m not surprised. |
gasparpisciotta:Well Fashola was former chief of Staff to Tinubu too. |
Rugaria:Ojuku who are the people Obi Pandora made whether as relative or outsider? If you cry blood, it does not stop Asiwaju builder of men. You fail to mention that those his boys also became the Vice President of Nigeria, Speaker house of rep, Minister of interior, minister for Youth and sport, minister for communication, Adeleke Mamora (previous health minister), Fashola (work and housing). If you think it is an easy feat building men like this without envy even with the fact that Tinubu was an ordinary governor and most of his disciples are greater than him. When Obi Pandora the foolish stingy thief is able to build men like this, then your vituperation will be justified. |
Lagos Year 2000 — The Lagos State government has approved and disbursed bursary grants to 75 of the 92 law school students that applied for the grant. Consequent upon the approval, N3 million cheque was at the weekend presented to the beneficiaries who are of Lagos State origin by the state Education Commissioner, Chief Adio Badmus. Each awardee got N40,000. P.M. News recalls that the award was previously N5,000 but the Tinubu administration increased it to N40,000. The state government had earlier in the year given out N33.5 million as bursary grants to 3,342 undergraduates of Lagos State origin pursuing various courses in tertiary institutions across the federation. Each of the students collected N10,000. Similarly, handicapped students are to enjoy a bursary grant of N20,000 each on yearly basis throughout the duration of their stay in any higher institution. Meanwhile, the Lagos State government has commended Agbowa and Iworo Ajido communities in Ikorodu and Badagry local government areas for donating hectares of land for the construction of model colleges in their communities. Commending the communities, the Education Commissioner said in the advanced nations of the world, individuals and groups make financial donations and trust funds for the development of education in their countries. He urged the communities to be prepared for another assignment as preparation for the creation of model colleges are in top gear. He further stressed that corporate and voluntary organisations should support free education programme which the state had initiated, being capital intensive. Agbowa Ikosi community donated 18.3 hectres while Iworo-Agido donated 12 hectres of land. Source: https://allafrica.com/stories/200004180213.html

Lagos 1999 — Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the early hours of today coasted home to victory as the elected governor of Lagos State. He beat two opponents to emerge governor in a race which was hotly campaigned for but later became almost a walk over at the polls. It was not so much a surprise that Tinubu who returned from a three and a half year exile beat his opponents, Chief Dapo Sarumi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Architect Nosirudeen Kekere-Ekun of APP. What however shocked the losing parties and even Tinubu himself was the wide margin between the winner and the losers. In a result that was announced by Professor Jelili Omotola vice chancellor of Univesity of Lagos and returning officer for the gubernatorial poll, at about 5. 20 am this morning: -- Tinubu scored a total of 841,732 votes -- Kekere- Ekun's 122,742 -- Sarumi's 184,900. Tinubu won in 19 of 20 Local councils in Lagos state while Kekere - Ekun won Ibeju Lekki local government council. Members of Tinubu's campaign organisation who set up offices in a building at Maryland, and a suite at Mainland Hotel were jubilating this morning when the last of the results came in from Kosofe LG where Tinubu secured 70,442 votes to Sarumi's 6,942 and Kekere-Ekun 3977. The victory was heralded with loud shouts of joy at Tinubus house in Alausa, Ikeja a distance of 200 metres to the Governor's office where he will preside over the affairs of volatile Lagos from May 29. Although Tinubu who hugged and backslapped supporters, friends and campaign workers this morning will not grant an interview yet, he told P.M. News that the task has just began. "There is a big job to be done in Lagos. The campaigns and elections are just minor aspects of it. The time has now come to sit down and do serious planning", he said in a huff. He thanked all citizens of Lagos and asked that they continue to cooperate with him in the task of making Lagos excel. By 6.00 am Sunday morning some of his friends started putting pen to paper to draft his acceptance speech which he delivered to the people of Lagos at 3.00 p.m. on Sunday. Tinubu, an accountant attended university in Chicago, United State. He was elected a senator in 1992 but fled into exile in 1994, following the threats to his life by the Abacha junta over agitation for the validation of the election of 1993. He returned to Nigeria in September, rallying his supporters to gain a stunning victory in the primaries of the Alliance for Democracy. Source: https://allafrica.com/stories/199901110186.html

I am a Yoruba and will vote Amaechi anytime any day. He gave us Lagos - Ibadan rail so we will vote him massively. |
Imagine this is happening in Lagos, Tinubu would have been crucified and cancelled. This is a great health hazards, only God know why we are not seeing massive protest about this so the government can take it serious. Well the people chose to be doing WhatsApp video and images so what’s my own problem. I pray things get better for the people of rivers, especially for the common man that might not be able to afford the medical care if all the effect of this start showing on a massive scale. |
