Do you have water for your side because I heard there is a drought in the erosion ravaged region.

Now I know why they call us Nyamurri. It is because we were begging for water during the Biafran war. Now this is replaying history coz water is now scarce in Igbo land.

Politics › Anambra Gov's Wife Worries Over Rate Of Divorce Among Young Couples by trutharena(op): 3:39pm On Mar 16, 2021
The wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has expressed worry over the high rate of divorce among couples in the state.

Mrs Obiano said this in a press statement signed on her behalf by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Emeka Ozumba, to mark the 2021 Mothers Day in the Anglican Communion.

Mrs Obiano urged mothers to use the opportunity of the celebration to enhance their communication channels with their husbands and adult children on the essence of marriage.

She said, “You must see the increasing cases of divorce among young couples as a challenge which can be addressed through healthy and frank communication with our children at home.

“This will ensure that they make the right choices and also understand that marriage is a marathon journey in the art of love, not a speed chase by restless people.

“The observance of the Mothering Sunday by Mothers Union of the Anglican Communion provides an opportunity for healthy communication and bonding in families, especially at this period of the coronavirus pandemic which had stretched both individuals and families to an elastic limit,” she said.

Mrs Obiano added that the challenges of the past one year, exacerbated by the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic created artificial distances within families and among relatives, making the burden of health and physical distance harder to bear.

She noted that even with the gradual improvement in health conditions and availability of coronavirus vaccine, there is still a need for caution by everyone to ensure that no one derails from the ultimate goal of safety for all.

She urged mothers to advise their children to remain committed to the precautionary measures and to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 requirements until health professionals advise otherwise.

This looks like kidnapping returning back to Anambra under the guise of herdsmen.
The government should be alert and protect innocent citizens from criminals. For latest freestuffs in Nigeria, please visit www.freestuffsng.com
The same way they know the kidnappers are Fulani herdsmen across other zones.

@the bolded, maybe kidnappers from Anambla are the one kidnapping acrosss the country then since you know so much about their kidnapping tendencies.
Politics › Suspected Herdsmen Kidnap 5 In Anambra, Demand N50m Ransom by trutharena(op): 2:51am On Mar 16, 2021
Suspected Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped five persons from different locations in eight communities of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Anambra State.

One of the victims, the President-General (PG) of Omor community, Mr. Francis Onwuachu, was kidnapped Friday night.

Former PG of the community, Udoji Amedu, told Daily Sun that Onwuachu’s car has been recovered by the police and taken to Ayamelum Divisional Headquarters in Anaku. He raised the alarm over the spate of killings and rape by armed herdsmen in the community.

Amedu said that the herdsmen have established contact with the community and that they demanded N10 million as ransom.

“Yes; they have established contact. They mentioned N10 million. Apart from the PG, we heard that four other persons were also kidnapped by the herdsmen,” he said.

Asked if the N10 million was for all five victims, he said it was only for Omor.

This means that the other four would also pay N10 million each; all amounting to N50 million.

“There is fear and anger in the land right now. My cousin was killed last month by Fulani herdsmen. Our people are afraid of using the roads because it’s insecure. Those who need to go to Awka or Onitsha are afraid to move. Before this incident, many of our people have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. There were also cases of raping of our women,” he lamented.

Efforts to speak with Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, proved abortive as he failed to pick calls to his phone and never returned same before this report was filed.

Politics › Anambra Community Youths Protest Alleged Kidnapping By Fulani Herdsmen by trutharena(op): 10:08pm On Mar 15, 2021
Youths of Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State have protested the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the area, saying the herders were responsible for a series of kidnappings along the Adani-Kogi highway, in the community.

A source among the protesting youths said they came out in their numbers on the federal highway in the community at the weekend to protest the latest incident of kidnapping, which involved an undisclosed number of persons on Friday.

The source said, “The youths of the area expressed sadness over the recent incident and promised not to rest until the kidnapped persons were released.

“The security agents in the area led by DPO of Anaku Divisional Police in Ayamelum LGA, CSP Chukwunonso was also there. He addressed the youths, promising not to rest until the situation is brought under control. He also advised the community to maintain calm and continue with their lawful activities as the issue is being taken care of.”

The protest it was gathered also attracted the attention of the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Victor Okafor, who addressed the youths, condemning the current spate of kidnapping along the road.

Our source said, “You may be here in Awka, without knowing the high level of kidnapping by Fulani herdsmen, happening in the hinterlands in Anambra State. The current kidnapping took place on 12/ 3/ 2021.

“This infuriated some youths, and they (youths of Anaku) and the vigilante group members and other security agents had to team up to go into the forest in search of those who were kidnapped and to secure the area to avoid such activities again. It is very disheartening,” He said.

When DAILY POST reached out to the Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, CSP Haruna Mohammed for comments on the protest, calls to his cell phone rang without a response.

Well i have said all i will concerning this topic. Before going though, I will just leave this word here "fools will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
The only self evident truth here is that Nyamurris ancestors don’t have that coordination and advancement to set up an empire.

The attempt by the post writer to hide this under the pretext of some illusionary republicanism is the figment of the illusion of the writer.

If Igala people hear this now, they will tell you guys the stories your ancestors failed to tell you about how the Igalas colonized them and sold them as slaves.

whatever you say....but as long as I cant recall Fulani capturing an inch of Igbo land like they did to Kwara and co. , we are the real champs.
Igala sold you Nyamurri as slaves.

Fulani never took any empire, Afonja rebeled against the Alaafin as a war general due to the effect of religion and scores they both had to settle.

We defeated Fulanis at Jalumi war and perished them forever in that water.

However, Nyamurris were sold as slaves by minority Igalas and even the most valuable throne for Nyamurri is a Benin stool as confirmed by Azikwe.

While the Oyo empire was busy conquering vast area beyond the shores of present day Nigeria, Nyamurri ancestors were busy playing with apes in the Bush learning how to be cannibals.

When your ancestors are dancing with ape in the forest without coordination. How will they establish an empire?

Nyamurri will always find excuse for everything. Even the small Igala sold Nyamurris as slaves and one would wonder how those kind of people can build empire.

The Igwes are just warrant chiefs elevated by the British to fill quota system.
