Base on my own advice or base on what I know that could have happened is that I think the landlord of the house is fetish or he wealth is not pure please op pack out of that house as soon as possible and before you rent your next apartment try making findings by asking the resident of the street on how the people that pack in the house usually encounter eg do they get more richer or poorer after packing in.
