PoliticsMy Take On Soludo's Draconian Plot Against Onitsha Traders Over Nnamdi Kanu by truthera(op):
It was not surprising to see how low Soludo will go in his quest to bury the truth and try to subvert the will of his people over the unjust incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu by Nigerian government. Soludo and other South East leaders failed their people by not doing enough to secure the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu whose only crime was to liberate his people from injustice. How will Monday sit at home protest end when Nnamdi Kanu is not free?

The fact that the traders obeyed out of fear to open the market this week does not mean that all is well, Soludo knows the truth that Nigeria can never work in its current form but due to his selfish political ambition, he chose to be a willing stooge, a foot servant for those who believe they own Nigeria and are bent on oppressing his people (the igbos).

Whether Soludo succeeds in his drive to keep Onitsha main market open on Mondays, it won't stop the sit at home protest that will continue in other parts of the state and South East region in general until the will of the people prevails....Nnamdi Kanu may be in jail but his legacy can never be buried or forgotten, at the appointed time he will regain his freedom....

Alex Otti, Charles Soludo, Hope Uzodinma, Mba and other South East governors, you may think that you are wise by secretly supporting Nnamdi Kanu imprisonment, making empty promises of securing his freedom while you continue to deceive yourselves thinking that the people don't know your game plan as 2027 election draws near. I hope you are prepared for a rude awakening because if Nnamdi Kanu is not released before 2027, there may be no 2027 election in igbo land, Monday sit at home protest is only a prelude for what is coming. For siding with your people's oppressors in denying them justice, none of you will escape the wrath of the people for the role you played when the time comes....
PoliticsRe: Why Akpabio May End Up As Nigeria's Worst Senate President by truthera(op): 8:26am On Jan 27
Akpabio did not merit his seat as the senate president as he came in through the back door, he has been useless so far to Nigerians... He still has little time left to write his name in gold to be remembered as the senate president that saved his people by restructuring or dividing Nigeria.... The ball is in his court....
PoliticsWhy Akpabio May End Up As Nigeria's Worst Senate President by truthera(op):
Senator Akpabio is not going to be remembered as the worse senate president not because of his corrupt past or the fact that he oversaw the most compromised corrupt weak national assembly in Nigeria's history, he will be remembered as the worst senate president because he blew the golden opportunity to liberate his South South people as the leader of national assembly by not using his political powers/influence to achieve the total decentralisation/restructuring of Nigeria's political/economic powers to regions/states. Akpabio has wasted 4 years in the senate, he will surely regret this when he leaves office and is faced with the reality of what he did to his people. It may take another 20 to 30 years for another south south politician to become senate president. Nigeria the British contraption is doomed as people of the South will continue to face mass killings, existential threats from Northern blood thirsty jihadists, Akpabio's oil rich state Akwa Ibom and other southern states stands to gain immensely both politically and economically if Nigeria is totally restructured or dissolved today.

Although, it is not too late for Akpabio to do the needful but if he fails to pursue this one thing then he will surely be remembered as the worst senate president Nigeria ever had.....
PoliticsHow Nnamdi Kanu Was Convicted On Engineered Insecurity by truthera(op): 7:22am On Jan 16
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has declared that the conviction of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was based on what it described as ‘engineered insecurity’.

IPOB made the assertion in a statement by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, on Wednesday. The pro-Biafra group noted that Kanu could not have been responsible for the insecurity in the South-East while he was held in solitary confinement, with no access to phone or the outside world.

IPOB blamed individuals it described as ‘desperate political’ actors for the violence that rocked the South-East after Kanu’s extraordinary rendition from Kenya, where he was arrested in 2021.

According to the statement, the insecurity was engineered to frame Kanu and IPOB as terrorists, to pave way for his eventual conviction.

Parts of the statement, titled ‘Engineered insecurity and judicial absurdity: How a man in solitary confinement was blamed for crimes he could not have committed’, read, “The noble family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) draws the attention of Nigerians and the international community to a dangerous lie that has been carefully constructed to justify the continued detention and conviction of our leader.

"Immediately after the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in June 2021, desperate political actors—many of whom have long envied his influence—unleashed violence and chaos across the South-East. Their aim was simple and wicked: create insecurity and blame it on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, so they could later claim they were right to abduct, detain, and jail him.

“These are the same people who rushed to proscribe IPOB, after Ekwulobia and Aba mega rallies in mid-2017 where millions trooped out just to catch a glimpse of our leader, even though the Abuja Federal High Court had earlier in March 2017 ruled that IPOB is not a terrorist organisation. In plain terms, a group declared lawful by a court was later branded “terrorist” through ex-parte for political convenience.

“These are the same people that killed IPOB members that organised and attended President Trump Solidarity Rally in Igweocha (Port Harcourt) on 20 January 2017. Again, Biafrans killed without justification.

"It is painful to note that yet again, the same forces behind the manufactured insecurity are the same ones who unleashed Operation Python Dance, a military operation that targeted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for assassination and led to the killing of unarmed civilians across the South-East with 28 murdered in his country home.”

IPOB said it was shocking that the trial judge in Nnamdi Kanu’s trial blamed him for insecurity in the South-East without any evidence.

The statement added, “Most shocking of all is what followed in court. In his judgment, Omotosho repeatedly cited insecurity in the South-East from 2022 onwards and blamed it on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu—despite the fact that Mazi Kanu had already been abducted, rendered to Nigeria, and locked in underground solitary confinement.

"Let Nigerians and the world pause and think. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was held incommunicado in the custody of the (DSS) in Abuja. He had no phone, no visitors, no access to the outside world. Yet he was blamed for events said to have happened in the South-East, outside prison walls.

“This is not justice. It is judicial nonsense. Let us state the absurdity clearly: A man in total state custody was convicted for crimes allegedly committed while he was in chains.

In any sane country, such reasoning by a supposed learned judge would attract instant condemnation from fellow judges and the legal fraternity. But in Nigeria, the plot was so well executed that many people stopped asking basic questions.”

IPOB insisted that there is no evidence to tie Kanu to the violence and killings blamed on him.

“Nobody has asked: Who did Mazi Nnamdi Kanu kill? Who came to court to say Kanu killed their brother, sister, or parent? Where is the evidence—bodies, witnesses, forensic proof? There is none. Absolutely none.

“Those who planned this deception did a thorough job. They confused the public, silenced questions, and drowned the truth in propaganda. But no lie lasts forever.

“If these Igbo politicians and their external sponsors had been honest enough to admit that the insecurity story was deliberately created just to jail Kanu, our leader would have willingly sacrificed himself if it would have saved the innocent Biafrans who were killed simply to build a case against him. Their blood cries out,” the group added.

IPOB called on the international community, foreign governments and parliaments, human rights organisations, lawyers and judges of conscience,
“to look beyond propaganda and confront the truth: this conviction is built on manufactured insecurity, no evidence, and the criminalisation of political dissent”.

“History will remember those who spoke the truth—and those who used chaos to silence a man,”
IPOB declared.

You said yorubas are silence about the injustice done against kanu by the Nigerian government grin.
Who were the people that led the a protest in Abuja late last year for the release of kanu?
Sowore and Deji Adeyanju.
How many prominent Igbo have come out to lead any protest?

For your information, I am not a fan of kanu because I am not an igbo and kanu is not fighting for my cause. I have nothing to gain from kanu. The last time I checked, kanu hate my tribe - the yorubas with passion.

There evidences in many of his broadcasts radio Biafra where he ordered his foot soldiers aka ipob terrorists to burn down Lagos and destroy all the churches owned by Yoruba clerics in Igbo land.

How do you expect me to like such a person? I can never pretend to like someone that openly hates me.
You guys should fight your fights and leave yorubas out of it. The yorubas have faced their own injustices in the past, but we handled them with deplomacy, not with emotions.

How many Igbos flood the streets of Abuja to protest when Abiola was jailed. Don't you know that it was an igbo man that first challenged the result of abiola's victory in court which eventually led to the annulment?

You want me to take you back to memory lane abi?

When it comes Nnamdi Kanu you and many others especially from the South West region (Yorubas) will resort to your usual mischievous rhetorics of accusing those that speak for him of emotional outbursts but all of you continue to remain silent over the glaring injustice and illegalities that characterised his sentencing on November 20, 2025. You can not hide your hypocrisy and malice towards Nnamdi Kanu any longer because you all have been exposed for what you are. Even if Katsina government that can release deadly terrorists had the power to release him, you and others will alway come up with a reason to justify his imprisonment..... There is nothing left to say about Nigeria, you can continue to deceive yourself but be rest assured that the injustice done to Kanu will surely go round in due time until you accept the inevitable truth about what Nigeria represents and begin the process of championing a peaceful exist from it if total decentralization is not attainable ....

Godfullsam:
Everything is not about fight and emotion. Those bandits criminals released in Katsina state were sentenced by the Katsina government.

Kanu's case is different. He was sentenced by the federal government. Only the federal can release him or otherwise. No state government can release him, not even the Sokoto state governor where he is currently serving his terms.

You should know how things are done in Nigeria. unfortunately you don't stay in Nigeria, you stay in the 'zoo'.

PoliticsNnamdi Kanu Remains In Prison As 70 Terrorists Are Freed In Katsina State by truthera(op):
Nigeria the country that keeps fooling itself as a democratic entity, a shameless unjust country has once again proven to the international community why it does not deserve any merits as a failed country.... Read today's news from the zoo republic below as featured in the home page of this website "Katsina State Government Releases 70 Bandits"....

The Katsina State Government has defended the release of 70 suspected bandits from custody, saying the decision was part of a broader peace initiative and hostage-swap agreement designed to restore stability in conflict-affected communities.

The State Commissioner for Information, Salisu Bala, said the move followed appeals from traditional rulers and community leaders who were directly involved in negotiating a peace accord with repentant bandit groups operating in frontline local government areas.

An earlier official letter indicating that courts had been directed to approve the release of the detainees sparked widespread public criticism, with many Nigerians questioning why suspects accused of grave offences, including killings, rape and destruction of property, were being freed.

However, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasir Muazu, had previously clarified that the releases were tied to conditions agreed under the peace deal, including the exchange of captives held by the bandits.

Bala disclosed that, in line with the agreement, more than 1,000 hostages were released from several local government areas, including Safana, Kurfi, Faskari, Sabuwa, Danmusa, Malumfashi, Musawa, Matazu, Jibia, Bakori and Dutsinma.

He explained that following the release of the hostages, traditional rulers and community representatives formally approached the state government to facilitate the release of detained bandits to fulfil the communities’ obligations under the accord.

The government, he said, reviewed legal and judicial processes before approving the request.

According to Bala, the peace initiative has already yielded tangible improvements in security and economic activity across affected areas.

Farming has resumed, markets in Danmusa and Batsari have reopened, and displaced residents are returning to their communities to harvest crops.

He urged the public to support the peace process and avoid politicising the matter, noting that similar exchange arrangements are common in conflict resolution efforts.

He argued that no one would oppose a deal capable of securing the release of loved ones held in captivity.

Bala reaffirmed that the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda remains committed to ending banditry and kidnapping in Katsina State through lawful, community-driven strategies aimed at achieving lasting peace.

Terrorists after killing, raping and destroying properties are pardoned and reintegrated into the society while Nnamdi Kanu who has done nothing wrong, who has not held a gun to shoot, kill any one is sentenced to life imprisonment just because he is an igbo man who chose to liberate his people from the unjust shameless country called Nigeria.... What is happening now is a testament to what Kanu has always said about Nigeria and why the igbos need to demand for a peaceful exist from the contraption.... Foreign AffairsVenezuela Military Invasion, USA Brazen Hypocrisy And UN Shameful Docility by truthera(op):
As a follow up to his military invasion threats he made severally through his social media posts, Trump surprised the world by launching an unprovoked military attack against Venezuela which led to the kidnap of the country's president. This action including US latest military activities in several other countries including Nigeria in clear violation of sovereignty should serve as a pointer that the US may no longer want to adhere to international law when dealing with other countries. This dangerous precedence been set by USA will definitely not end with Venezuela if the world does not unite and call out America. By unilaterally invading Venezuela and kidnapping it's president, Trump should know now that he no longer possess the moral authority to condemn or criticize Putin over his actions in Ukrain. I will not be surprised if Putin kidnaps Ukrain President tonight.

As Trump, Putin and Xi plunders, violates the sovereignity of Venezuela, Ukrain and Taiwan, it is pathetic to see the United Nations (UN) reduced to a paper tiger as it continues to play the role of a lifeless spectator, proving itself incapable of curtailing the excesses of these powerful countries in the world stage. It is glaring that should US, Russia, China, Israel et al continue on it's military invasions and conquests, all countries of the world will need to brace up as there will certainly be international consequences.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUlEp1OHRMw&pp=ygUVUGV0ZXIgb2JpIGkgd2lsbCBhcGdh

The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Victor Oye, has revealed that a former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, vowed never to leave the party till death do them part.

However, Obi, who emerged as the governor of the state in 2006 and spent two terms in office, later defected to the Peoples Democratic Party in 2014. He became the Vice-Presidential candidate for the PDP in the 2019 general election.

Speaking about the defection and how APGA was able to win the Anambra election on Arise TV, Oye noted that Obi has not achieved anything politically since he defected because of the covenant he made with the party.

Oye stated that for Obi to achieve anything politically, he will have to return to APGA.

He said, “Remember that Peter Obi was in APGA and when he was with APGA, he performed superlatively well. The moment he left APGA, the APGA spirit left him. He has never achieved anything politically ever since. If he wants to achieve anything politically, he should come back to APGA; then, we will now re-ignite the APGA spirit in him.

“That is how it is done. Let me tell you, let him continue to jump from pillar to post, he cannot achieve anything because APGA gave him a platform and he took a vow that he will never leave APGA until death does them part. Now he left APGA; what do you expect would happen when you take a vow? A vow is a covenant and you must keep it. That is what is happening here.”

The APGA national chairman further cleared the air about his statement, noting that the party is not into occultism.

He said, “I did not mean a cult orientation when I said that Peter Obi vowed never to leave APGA till death do them part. What I said was an open thing and there is a video to that effect. For me, I believe in covenant. He made a covenant with God and not with APGA; is APGA God? He said he will never leave APGA until death does them part. That was what he said, it is open, I have the video.

“I am a Christian and I don’t have any business with cults; I don’t believe in that. My God is sufficient for me. What my God cannot do for me does not exist. In fact, what God cannot do for me, let it be. I am very proud of the God I serve.”

PoliticsMy Take On US Military Airstrikes In Nigeria Over "Christian Genocide" by truthera(op):
There is no way you can justify or whitewash the US military airstrikes in Nigeria because it remains a fact that Nigeria is a sovereign state. Even the USA will not allow another country to meddle in it's internal affairs the way it's government continue to do in Nigeria. The root problem when it comes to all the crisis going on in Nigeria is Nigerians, I say this is because Nigerians have consistently overtime demonstrated gross nonchalance towards doing any thing as a people to hold their government responsible. So one will ask why won't the situation get worse when Nigerians always prefer to fold their arms as a people and did nothing to hold their government accountable over the insecurity and terrorists ravaging the country. Why won't terrorism, crime rate go up when Nigerians allowed the situation to get worse by not mobilizing and pressurizing the government to do something about it. Trump and US government may have good intentions but the fact still remains that their military campaigns in Nigeria is a dangerous precedence to the country's sovereignty. IMHO, their constant push to tag the security crisis in Nigeria solely as christian genocide exposes their hypocrisy and true motives which may be to instigate a religious war. Nigeria's complex security crisis goes beyond persecution of christians because apart from real jihadists killing for religious purposes, there are also those killing for other reasons like fulani sponsored ethnic genocide (Ancestral land grabbing to expand their settlements), foreign backed Illegal miners killing to force relocation of indigenous people so as to gain access to their natural resource rich lands, bandits raiding communities to steal and kidnap for ransome, politicians occupying public offices and senior military officers sponsoring insecurity in order to profit from high security vote allocations and foreign aids programs.

If US, UK and their western allies like France who pretend to care about Nigeria truly want to help the country then all other factors I mentioned above must be considered as well. It is sad that many Nigerians who should know better regarding Nigeria's security issues have allowed themselves to be deceived in echoing western propaganda of christian genocide when it is not entirely true. I won't say that Trump's action in ordering US military intervention had no positive impact but the issue here is not about whether his military action was successful in the killing terrorists as what is at stake here is it's long term negative implications of exacerbating Nigeria's security situation leading to a full blown religious war that will lead to more deaths and destruction.

Nigerians must understand and learn from history that powerful countries like US do not offer free military charity programs, there is always a hidden agenda to advance their foreign policy interests which most times may not be in the interest of the host country (Afganistan, Libia, Iraq et al). The bottomline here is that a lasting solution to Nigeria's security crisis won't come from supporting foreign powers to invade the country as it is guaranteed to fail and may make it worse due to inherent selfish political interests that will always be the true motive behind these foreign powers. If Nigerians truly want to address the issue of terrorism and other security challenges affecting the country, then deliberate actions like mass peaceful protests, civil disobedience like nationwide seat at home must be conducted to show their displeasures, the government of the day must be held accountable.

Since the primary purpose of a democratic government is to provide security and welfare to the people which the Tinubu led government has failed and continue to fail woefully to do, instead of calling on foreign powers, there is a constitutional remedy that safeguards Nigeria's sovereignty and democracy, guarantees a faster, easier route which Nigerians can explore if they truly want to address the security crisis, this option is simply to demand for the impeachment, removal of Tinubu and his compromised government, to pave the way for a general election that will allow Nigerians elect another government that will do what they want like fighting corruption, restructuring or dividing the country and tackling the security crisis. Nigerians need to understand that they must do something as a people to save themselves as there is no easy route in addressing the issues they face. I will reiterate once more, there is no silver bullet, Trump, US, UK, France, Germany do not really care as they are all pursuing their own personal agendas. The solution to Nigeria's problems is local and not foreign, Tinubu's terrible APC government must end if Nigerians still want a country....

I did not call Nnamdi Kanu a terrorist.... It was your compromised government that called him a terrorist but could not prove it or provide concrete evidence that he is a terrorist during the sham trial....

odejimioflagos:
This is a clear case of double standard. How can you call Kanu a terrorist and then turn around to say he was unjustly labeled a terrorist? What are we saying here?

His group killed many people. He should be in prison for life.
PoliticsUS Miltary Airstrike: Why Tinubu Must Go Now! - TIB by truthera(op): 4:21am On Dec 27, 2025
The Take It Back Movement (TIB) acknowledges reports of recent military action conducted by the United States against ISIS-affiliated elements operating within Nigeria.

We recognize the grave threat posed by terrorist groups whose activities continue to claim innocent lives and destabilize communities across the country. While we support genuine efforts to end terrorism in Nigeria, it is important to note that we do not welcome bombing of our country by a foreign power done in the guise of fighting terrorism. We have seen the result of US led interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and witnessed the devastating outcome. But we hold the government of Bola Tinubu fully accountable for inability to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity from internal insurgents (Terrorists, bandits), and foreign aggressors, Donald Trump!

Last year, the EndBadGovernance protest called on the Tinubu government to end terrorism in the country. But the government responded with arrogance, and with brute force. Reports documented over 40 deaths, and 2000 arrests nationwide. Children were jailed for 30 days, and were to be tried for treason, a capital offense. Court recently dismissed a treason charge against 11 activists that were jailed for several weeks for participating in the protest. The Tinubu government violently dismissed genuine public concerns on escalating poverty, and insecurity in the country. That Nigerians are unfortunately cheering the ongoing violation of our national sovereignty is a vote of no confidence on the government of Tinubu.

Even the constitution of our country, despite its limitations, some of which we have always pointed out, acknowledges that security, and welfare shall be primary purpose of government. But the Tinubu government clearly lacks capacity to deliver on this objective. Sovereignty belongs to the people from which the government derives power. The Tinubu government have also displayed utter lack of capacity to defend the sovereignty of the Nigerian people. There is no reason to keep the government of Tinubu in power. He must go!

If he allows the release of the document, Tinubu will be indicted.... Akpabio himself may also be implicated....

trutharena:
I think Akpabio should have allowed the release of the document.

Both the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas are completely compromised over the tax law forgery crisis... It won't be surprising if they connived with Tinubu to betray their colleagues in both chambers. If there are still good men and women of conscience in the national assembly, they should as a matter of urgency begin to mobilise other legislators to move for the suspension/removal of Apkabio as Senate president and Abbas as house speaker to allow for a thorough investigation in to the matter as both men are Tinubu's henchmen, they will sabotage any effort been made as they are there solely to work and protect Tinubu's selfish political interests....
PoliticsTax Law Forgery: Akpabio Activates Move To Hide Certified Tax Bill Copies by truthera(op):
Senators, reps fume as SP Akpabio orders NASS clerk to hide certified copy of Nigerian tax bill transmitted to Tinubu for assent.

Lawmakers in both legislative chambers of the National Assembly are aggrieved with Senate President Godswill Akpabio over his directive barring the office of the assembly Clerk from releasing copies of the tax reform bill transmitted to President Bola Tinubu for assent and subsequently signed into law, Peoples Gazette has learnt.

Two senators and four members of the House of Representatives told The Gazette that the embargo has fuelled suspicion and internal wrangling, as lawmakers who demanded copies of the assented bill were denied access.

This is despite their insistence that the document was needed to confirm that the version signed by the president was identical with the certified true copy passed by both legislative chambers.

According to the lawmakers, the controversy began following allegations by a member of the House of Representatives, Abdulsammad Dasuki, (PDP-Sokoto State), that the tax laws available to Nigerians differed from the versions passed by the National Assembly.

Rising on a Point of Privilege under Order Six, Rule Two of the House Rules, Mr Dasuki told the House of Representatives that his legislative rights had been breached, insisting that the content of the gazetted tax laws did not reflect what lawmakers debated, voted on, and approved on the floor.

According to him, after the passage of the tax bill, he spent three days reviewing the gazetted copies alongside the Votes and Proceedings of the House and the harmonised versions adopted by both legislative chambers.

“I was here, I gave my vote and it was counted, and I am seeing something completely different,” Mr Dasuki said, noting that copies of the gazetted laws obtained from the Ministry of Information did not match the versions approved by the House and Senate.

The lawmaker further stressed that his concern was not about moving a motion but about alerting the House to a serious breach of legislative process and the constitution.

The allegation prompted several lawmakers to formally request copies of the signed law to compare it with the version debated and approved during plenary.

The Gazette has seen a certified true copy of the tax bill as passed by the National Assembly, further deepening questions over why the leadership would place an embargo on the assented version of the law.

As of press time, neither Mr Akpabio, Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly, nor Mr Abbas had responded to requests for comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, The Gazette learnt that officials in the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly informed the lawmakers that they were acting on the instruction of Mr Akpabio, who ordered that no copy of the assented tax law should be released to any legislator.

“What is unfolding before us is an attempt to subvert our nascent democracy, and we want Nigerian compatriots of good conscience to help us in this fight,” a ruling party senator said under condition of anonymity to avoid being targeted by the president’s allies.

The lawmaker said, “I have personally approached the clerk’s office four times over the past week to ask for the certified documents but they keep saying the SP told them not to release them to anyone.”

A House of Representatives member from Oyo State who spoke to The Gazette described the development as troubling, saying he was disappointed in Speaker Tajudeen Abbas’ failure to allow the matter to be resolved before the Yuletide break.

“This is supposed to be handled with the urgency and sensitivity it deserves,” the lawmaker said. “But we have decided to punt this chaos into the new year even as it appears the administration may not scrap the January 1 implementation of the so-called law.”

The content of the gazetted document has become central to the unfolding dispute, with lawmakers saying access to the assented copy was critical to establishing whether any alterations to were made to the bill between passage by the legislature and assent by the president. The lawmakers warned that withholding the document undermined legislative oversight and eroded trust within the parliament.

Meanwhile, a member of the Finance Committee of the Senate, Sunday Karimi, alleged that the reported alterations to the tax bill were a rumour.

“It is a rumour, nothing confirmed,” Mr Karimi told The Gazette on Tuesday. “Nonetheless, it is the responsibility of the Finance Committee to investigate this matter. The copy passed by the National Assembly and the gazetted version should all be available for Nigerians to see.”

Still, Mr Karimi expressed confidence in Mr Tinubu, saying the president runs a responsible government and wouldn’t be part of any attempt to subvert the law.

“The president is a highly trustworthy statesman and his government would not be part of any attempt to sabotage our democracy,” Mr Karimi said. “So that’s why I still assume what we’re hearing can all be rumours.”

As the controversy rages, lawmakers from both legislative chambers have intensified demands for the release of the certified true copy of the bill transmitted to the president.

They argue that, as elected representatives who voted on the legislation, they were entitled to review the final version that had now become law.

I am not writing a story book or news articule but simply expressing my opinion on a social online forum, so the way I structure my opinion does not matter as what does matter is the truth.... If you disagree with my argument then feel free to counter it.... Did the national assembly not raise an alarm over forgery of Nigeria's tax laws? If yes, is this not a treasonous crime? I believe that if you value justice and accountability you will be preoccupied with raising awareness, calling out Tinubu and all those responsible for this atrocious act that has brought big shame to your country instead of fantasizing and dissecting the grammatical accuracy of each sentence in my post.....

Your problem, and you are clearly and intelligent, well read and well versed person, is that every single thing you write is based on Ohamdike's imprisonment on terrorism charges.

If a fly enters your pepper soup, it was because Ohamdike was imprisoned. You can't contrast everything with Ohamdike being found guilty of terrorist charges all the time, it's draining.

Also, and to a lesser extent is this one, you write way too much in trying to get to your point which is then moot by the time you do get to it. We already know where you are coming from and what you are about anyway.
