Good evening
I have a question.
1. In the IMM 1234E form, there is a column in the personal information section that has "alias name"- if you were known by a previous name, you should include it. I'm asking because my share certificate bears my 3rd name in place of my second name while other documents I have does not have my 3rd name in them. I hold it won't affect my application?
2. I hope not paying tuition fee will not effect my application? |

JustMellow: Hello Tstunt,
It may depend on several other factors or how VO analyse your personal or financial situation. So, the answer to your question may vary in opinions. Literally you can transfer money into your main account from others. The important thing to do is to be able to demonstrate sufficient evidence and logical explanations on your source of funds that may raise some technical questions. There is no harm in it but in a way demonstrate sources of those funds.
All the best Thank you, this is very helpful. |

Qudkom: There isn't a limit to the number of statement of accounts you can use. If you plan to have all your funds in one account weeks before submitting then that's fine but if it's the other way round then it might raise concerns. Qudkom, thank you. I appreciate your contribution. |

Hello, house
Please, I have a question. I have funds in some of my savings accounts. I want to consolidate all these funds into the main account I will be using for my application. I hope this won't pose a red flag to the VO. If there is a better way to go about this, please enlighten me. Thank you all! Like Mr. Frank will say, "it will end in praise."

JustMellow: Hello Tstunt,
All the mentioned ties are very good and strong demonstration of home ties. However, it is up to you to append proper evidence and enlighten the VO on their significants to you and how it would easily compel your return. If a sponsor is willing and committed to sponsor you, showing proof of the sponsor's source of funds and proof of funds is very vital. However, the payslips are also vital proof of a source of funds but it mostly complement documents like the employment letter, BS etc. I am not sure about its sufficiency hence the more reason you get proper documented proofs. For the point 6, the only option you have if getting your statement from the bank is unsuccessful is to generate it using your online banking system and if your bank recognizes the Bank Statement ID and Ticket Password, then it will suffice also.
All the best Thank you @JustMellow for your wise council. |

Good evening my people!
I have a couple of issues I need your wisdom. I will highlight each questions and hope to get your suggestions.
1. I have shares in 3 companies and I want to use them as home ties in my application but in recent times bank share has plummeted making my unit share to worth nothing at all. Should I still include them as my home ties?
2. I have a land that was gifted to me by my father. He has sworn affidavit that states he is giving me the land as my own part of his inheritance. Is that enough proof to lay claim to the land as my own as I intend to use it as my asset?
3. Me and my partner are into a project in providing social services. We just started the NGO registration before the lockdown, although we are just emerging as we became the whole process February this year.
My concern is, in my SOP I included it but my intentions was to draw VO's mind to that fact that I have a social responsibility to Nigeria and that I will be coming back after my studies to continue with the structures we have in place. Will that also serve as a strong home tie considering the NGO registration is on hold currently because of the lockdown and I don't have a proof to show that our work exists?
4. My father has a registered company and I want to include it as a home tie even though I have not worked there. Is it enough home tie?
5. My sponsor just informed me that she won't be giving me her employment letter (she has a PR in Canada) and she will only provide me with her payslips. Is the payslips enough to prove to the VO my sponsor's employment details? Won't it affect my application if I don't have my sponsor's employment letter?
6. Since banks are not in operation, will using MYBANKSTATEMENT be an option in showing my proof of fund since I'm not applying through NSE? *I'm sorry for the long post and most of them focuses on solidifying my home ties. Please your suggestions are needed. Thank you all and God bless.* Please my ogas should help me with these concerns I have raised.

Frankrobbn1: In essence the $20,000CAD which has been set aside by your sponsor is sufficient for your first academic year. Please go ahead and include the three (3) months salary bank statement which has 1.2M as the closing balance in support of your flight itinerary and other miscellaneous expenses that might arise during the course of studies in Canada.
While filling the IMM1294E, the financial section, the information you should fill in those columns should reflect the following figures:
Tuition = 8,073CAD Room and Board = 10,000CAD Others = 3,000CAD
Funds available for my stay = 24,500CAD
I arrived at this figure, because I calculated annual tuition, room and board, the remaining 2kcad left from your sponsor and 4kcad which is the equivalent of the 1.2M in naira.
It will end in praises. Baba, I truly appreciate all your efforts. God bless you. I last question. Since I'm not sponsoring myself, tendering 3 months bank statement doesn't matter? |

Frankrobbn1: 1-) Please ignore the previous medical request form you saw last year. You've not been asked to go for medicals, so you don't require medicals at this time.
2-) Your annual tuition and living expenses for your proposed program in Canada will determine whether the 1.2M and the $20,000 is sufficient to cover for your first year of study in Canada.
3-) You can apply for your VISA without pay slips. The 1.2M where is it saved? Is it in the salary account or personal savings. Salary statement is also not requirement for a study visa application considering that you're a sponsored applicant.

I will be setting aside 10,000CAD for my living expenses. The 1.2M is in my new salary account as I started building the account 2 months ago. |

Q1. Good afternoon my people. I have started my application for a student permit but I noticed something that gives me concern. My application doesn't have a medical request form on it as shown in the 1st attached picture but when I checked the application details I used when I was denied SP last year, I saw a column for medical request (see attached 2nd photo). Any reason for this change?
Q2. My sponsor who is my sister has earmarked $20,000 for my sponsorship and I currently have around #1.2 million in my account. How this show enough financial capability for wanting to study in CAD?
Q3. I was laid off February this year and although I got a job last month, the recent crisis has made it impossible to resume work there. My former employer said the can't give me a payslip because of the recent lockdown. Can I apply without the payslip? Because of switching my salary account while working in my former workplace, the VO will only see a few months of my salary in my account when I print my statement of account. How do i tackle this?

I got a job offer in New Brunswick and will be migrating via the AIPP. I just completed my planning session and currently waiting for an endorsement certificate.
I hope we can rub minds here. Congrats Sis. You and Frank are living testimony of the genuineness of AIPP. God will perfect what he has started in your life. It took me 3 days to finish thread 1-31 and that of RNIP because I wanted to be grounded in the whole process. I came to know of AIPP when I was researching on Manitoba PNP December last year. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with my quest for more information until I stumbled on this thread on Nairaland last week. I have learned a lot from you guys. Let's keep the thread alive with relevant posts. We will all succeed. |

JustMellow: Hello Tstunt,
Going about the VO's concern was major on how your SOP was drafted. You've failed to relate and explain how certain required information need to be read by the VO add up to help them make their case and determine if you are eligible for a SP.
Maybe you failed to show an appropriate relationship and reasons for the sponsorship, a solid home ties and laying your level of establishment in a clear view, the benefits of your intended course/program to your self/country's development, available opportunities etc.
I don't think your notes is generic, rework on your SOP, as opting for a judicial review might (or not) fall to your favour but that's your decision. If am to advise you, I would suggest you re-apply and try to improve more on your application (SOP). You have the knife, yam, and fire.
Good luck! Thank you, JustMellow for taking your time to explain every needful thing I need to improve upon. |

mcobex: If I may ask, why advance diploma and not masters? You said your sister is committing 16k towards your studies, how much is your tuition fee? That aside, I think you need to work on your SOP and state how your previous course is related to your intended one. Also, in your SOP try to explain and give reasons why you will return to Nigeria after your program in Canada. About your SOA, that's not the problem. As a matter of fact, including your SOA is a plus to you(don't mind what that person said ) The proposed program is only available on the Advance diploma. The tuition fee is 9,687 Cad. I related linked my first degree to the intended program of study. |

Hello good people!
My case goes this way, I submitted my application for a Canadian student visa via an online route on May 12, 2019. I did my biometrics on May 14, 2019. On June 25, I received a rejection letter from them. I was devastated and depressed, but I just had to move on.
I later applied for GCM Notes to find out the real reason for their refusal. Their reason was not worth it because I have a sister who was willing to sponsor my education with an available fund of 16,000 Cad for a start and she is based in Canada with her family.
I have attached the reasons the gave for my refusal.
What is the best course of action? Has their been anyone who has appealed their visa refusal and was successful? If so, can you refer me to a good immigration lawyer that will appeal for me (I suppose it is an immigration lawyer that will do)?
Please, I need help o, gurus in the house.
