FSBoperator:
The OP is disappointed by the blowback they are getting in response to their lame expansionism.

Ignore him.
Am not just getting it.

You want the union to be dismembered, but you are pushing for residential bill, you reject fiscal autonomy that comes with tax reform bill, you reject creation of state police that will enforce state law.

Who doesn't know your shout of disintegration is simply because you are not in control of power?

MightySparrow:
Well, I feel it is better. It changed once when politicians were using it to terrorize opponents. If no more suitable, it will be changed. For now it is okay.
Is it not even better to put your security hope in your governor than non state actors who are spreading over the country?

If it is convenient for you to live with status quo where state can't enforce their state law, other states are tired of a system that is not working and with state police have opportunity to correct anomaly they experience with the federal police

Exactly and they will fix all their party members that are tguhs and untrained as police men.
Instead of merit based you will all sort of nonsense taking place.
All these are just distractions, it's not enough reason not to correct the constitutional deficiency we have with the federal constitution.

Because state University admit more of the wards of politicians and recruits party men to work in state University doesn't nullify the purpose of setting up one that the state can cater for

guobe:
.My brother, I see no changes in what they want to set up as the average Nigerian police whether Northern or southern are all thesame.
I hope they prove me wrong though
You can't form a blanket opinion about what you haven't experienced. It is a matter of constitutional necessity in a Federation and there's no any argument that can defeat that.
Politics › Re: What Are The Advantages Of Having A State Police In Nigeria? by Ttalk:
If you support Bakassi boys, ESN, OPC and Amotekun but reject state police then something is wrong with you.

You must first define what a Federation mean and what are the components of a Federation in terms of security.

The tenet of Federalism is guided by devolution of powers, you can't talk about a Federation without clear understanding of a exclusive power, residual power and concurrent powers.

Why do we have state Universities, and not rely on Federal University to satisfy the teeming population that need University education.

Passing the bill on state police only address the constitutional imbalance about security. It doesn't force your state to create one because it is a matter of choice.

State police will address the majority of crises such as herders farmers crisis, banditry, terrorism and immigration challenges as many of the criminals are not from Nigeria.

givedemwotowoto:
Building roads is not an achievement worthy of celebration by a President. Every administration before President Tinubu built roads. Roads are a basic responsibility of government, not an extraordinary accomplishment. Achievements are measured by outcomes (value delivery) not projects.

I've never seen this type of opposition before. Claiming building Coastal road won't bring benefit.

I guess those working on the road are not Nigerians or maybe they are only doing Charity work.

Government don't just dash people money, such monies are channeled towards infrastructure so it trickle down through job it creates.and the ripple effects are felt by the people

When you burst Obidients lies, they result to insult and gaslighting.

They first attack your personality, then your intelligence, then your status, your tribe and your political choice instead of addressing the issue.

Even a retired General will not make insinuation that those children can be rescue in 24hours.

This is the same utopia believe you carry that Nigeria will turn to paradise of you vote a failure like Obi.

If it took US over 96hours to rescue 2 adult, how many hours will it take them to rescue over 50 children with minimal casualty?

I won't choose the path of your diversion tactics with insult, I only want to awaken your brain into reality so next time you want to flaunt your defeated ego, you won't come to political section of NL

Nice one

There should be an independent international inquiry into the abduction of these pupils and teachers, and the report should be made public. That is a working and accountable governor there

We are living in a regime headed by a desperado, where transparency and accountable is treated as a threat rather than a duty.
Let me remind you that similar enquiry that invited your Peter Obi to come and give account of young men that was thrown into Izu river during his tenure was met with litigation from Obi who stopped the panel of enquiry from inviting him

Up till today, Obi haven't answered the role he played in that incident.

Obi and Obidients don't have moral right to demand for any enquiry in Nigeria when the terror that happened during Obi's tenure has not been resolved
Politics › Re: Oyo State Kidnapping Was Staged by Ttalk: 6:44pm On Jul 13
Beautifulday:
It is sad that the lives of Nigerian citizens are being used to play politics.

Gov. Makinde was full of lamentations yesterday. That he declared to run for presidency in the up coming election. School children with their teachers were kidnapped a few days later.

Some lost their lives in this kidnap saga.

The politics that was played on president Jonathan is what was played on Governor Makinde.

Before you start making noise under this post. I want you to look at the pictures attached to this post.

The school children that were kidnapped were on the school uniform. When they were released, they were on normal clothes.

For people who have been in the forest under intense pressure for two months. How are they looking better than when they were kidnapped?

Who was feeding them?

We have seen kidnapped victims released multiple times in this country. Most not up to two months but they never looked healthier.

Who are those behind the kidnapping.

If the government don't get those guys, those guys are either in government or they are the government.
Your position is not surprising. Same people who argued on SM about Buhari left ear will argue about anything and cook any conspiracy theory

One thing about children is that they do tell the innocent TRUTH. Just watch as one of them will tell Nigerians who really kidnapped them.
Obidients have become the laughing stock.

Same way you analyse Buhari left ear on SM for many months claiming he was replaced by Jibril of Sudan is same way you guys are analysing the rescue of innocent children.

Since you know ransome was paid, it will make a good business fr you and your likes who are parroting the conspiracy theories of staged abduction to venture into the lucrative business so you can cash out from the government. Afterall that would be a better business than going to Thailand

This Nigeria is the only country that would make the most intellectually sound human to reason like an ape.

students were adopted for about almost 2 months from their schools, the government couldnt ultilize drones and other modern ammenities to to track triangulate the position of the captives within 24hrs and launch a rescue operation. When CDS Christopher musa said they couldnt launch a swift counter rescue operation due to terrain and bandits told soldiera not to come near during the rescue operation, i was totally ashamed that a whole man i respected so much could alter a statement like this.

Tinubu And Security Forces Are Failures

i can say this a thousand times!!!!!the nigerian security achitecture need a complete overhaul in both strategy and training, its not by making recruits do harsh activities that make them rugged but logistics and commitment from the government.

How I Would Have rescued The Children With 24hrs

if i was in power i would have launched a swift counter rescue operation and gotten those innocent kids back to their parents within 24hrs.

phase 1 Tracking

the routes the terrorists took were visible, which recconissance teams and info from the locals, thermal high altutude surveilance drones would be launched almost immediately to follow the kidnappers until their last stop.

phase 2 Assault(Old oyo national park)

since the terrorist strong hold had been identified a special forces rescue 50 man team would be rapidly assembled to parachut or drop into the forest with data from satelite and reconisaance high altitude drone while a 200 assault land squad would lead the charge

Phase 3 Surrender Ultimatum Issued To Bandits

An ultimatum would be given to the bandits surrender or die and if u kill the captives a more horrific lenghty torment death awaits them.

Phase 4 Assault

with use of powerful soft kill area assault weapons(i wont mention them here because bandits are on nairaland too),deployed from aircraft from 30,000feet above, the terrorists alongside with the captives would be rendered unconcious or temperally incapacitiated the assault land force with mine claring vehicles leading the charge and troops behind will storm into the enclaves and rescue the captives and arrest all the incapacitated terrorists in the camp and burn the camp to the ground. This shouldnt last for 24-48hrs max if the government were to be sincere and if i was in charge, those kids would be rescued within 48hrs max.

What Nigrian Government Did

they claimed thery were strategising for almost 2 months will innocent kids and teachers endured murder, famine, molestation possibly rape and emotional trauma .and when they are finally rescued, the APC government counted this as an achievment.

This Is Shameful!!!!
If you were this intelligent, you would have built a business empire to rival the likes of Dangote, but here you are in fantasy dreaming how you.would rescue the children in 24hours.

i am not the type that will tell you fire is burning on the sea and not bring the ashes into your nose to sniff, lets start fron obasanjo

under Obj the macro security challenge we had was Niger delta miltant, kidnapping and bombing of pipeline it continued into

Yatadua was enable to resolve the Niger delta crisis, shortly after we were under Jonathan

jonatan boko haram and terrorist became grounded in Nigeeria, the operations were kostly suicide bombing then kick against western education ... nothing like cumma pay ransom under jonathan okay then we moved to Buhari era

under Buhari boko haram operation was minimized, and we had more of Killers herds men and unknown gun men, that even worsened in the East killings and burning of police stations,
we started hearing of ranson under buhari, even thou militant did under OBj but it wasnt prevalent,

like play like play we moved into Tinunu dispensation

under Tinubu the likes of killers herdsmen, unknown gun men and farms herds clash all varnished like a female mess
We elvolve into Bandits kidnapping and we had terrorism insurgence running in the background tew .... today both the bandits and terrorist operation have been revised into Money making ventures, it all about ransom and demands of motorcycles and needs

if you follow the lengthy epistle you will see there are discrepancies from govt to govt ... i cant remember the last time i heard of killers herdsmen in the news ? get the point now
All the recent killings in Benue and Jos are what?

Which government coined the word ' bandit'?

If you can answer these 2 questions correctly, you'll discover your submission are false

The capitalist policies of this govt favours the elites which is why the stock market is experiencing a boom.
Such was also the case under OBJ
In the end, Tinubu was just hating on OBJ and GEJ for nothing.
He has no better ideas than them in terms of running an economy. In fact, they are even better since they were not running helter skelter mortgaging the future of the country with loans and sitting over a poorly performing budget year-in, year- out
If Tinubu had not goaded his zombies to disrupt national progress in 2012 by staging the anti-subsidy protests and installing an inept Buhari, Nigeria would have been far better today than where we are now that we are telling our citizens to fry akara and kulikuli to survive.
