We gradually getting to somewhere regarding how Obi made his money. There are lots of rotten secrets about Obi past that the authority is intentionally keeping away from the Obidients.

State police is necessary, I expected the senate to expedite action on it...if it's to pass a loan request proposal, they will do it in minutes. Nigerians should vote out all these senators and vote in people that understand what it means to be a senator, it's about serving the people not serving themselves.
This is the type of conversation we should be having on Nairaland not Obi and Tinubu conversation that helps no one.
The Nass and other states assembly has crucial role to play for the speedy establishment of state police. The people we elect should prioritize what concerns the electorates and not their personal interest that they always pass at the chamber.
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Office As Governor...photo by Ttalk: 11:43am On Jun 23
PresidentMUGABE:
in this video Peter Obi said “come and verify what we built in just three years” during his time as Governor of Anambra State.

It has always been his position, even during the reforms in Anambra. He has consistently challenged people to go and verify performance, results, and records.

The problem is not the message. The problem is that in Nigeria, it is not always easy for people to go back and verify what was done many years ago, so narratives are often shaped by emotion instead of facts.

Before anyone assumes this is a new slogan, it is important to understand that “go and verify” has always been part of his leadership philosophy, not a recent political line.

At the end of the day, leadership should be judged by evidence, not just opinions.

-Moses Abdulkass.

This man hates wastages
Am sure with this stinginess that made him deny the office of the governor the necessary tool that will enhance performance is nothing but incompetence

Same man bought 177 SUV for the traditional rulers in the state. This is gross misgovernace and corruption at its peak.

This is why I will continue to defend Tinubu for his legacy. Tinubu connected the whole secretariat including LAHA with Internet access as far back as year 2000, and the staff were trained end equipped which increased the productivity of the state, the result was a leap in the state IGR and professionalism the staff acquired that made many of us to seek greater opportunities.

Now you can compare the personnel of Lagos state with any others in Nigeria and you will see a clear difference.

It is convenient for state to create state VIO to extort motorists, but not convenient for them to create an outfit that will protect the people.

30 Abuja Projects, One Clear Message: Tinubu Is Building for 2027 and Beyond

Abuja is witnessing a major infrastructure renewal, with projects spread across roads, transport, public buildings, housing and district development.

One major project is the renovation of the Abuja International Conference Centre, restoring one of the capital’s most important event facilities.

The Kugbo Bus Terminal is another key project, designed to organise public transport and reduce roadside congestion.

The Mabushi Bus Terminal will serve commuters in one of Abuja’s busiest districts and improve passenger safety.

The Central Business District Bus Terminal is expected to support movement within the city centre.

The Outer Southern Expressway link road is opening up new corridors and easing traffic pressure.

The N5 Road in Life Camp is improving access within the growing Life Camp axis.

The Airport Road-to-Kuje corridor is strengthening movement between the city, airport axis and satellite towns.

The Kuje-Gwagwalada Road is improving connectivity between two important area councils.

The Airport Second Runway access road supports future aviation expansion.

The Bill Clinton Drive-to-Tunga Madaki bypass will improve local access and reduce isolation.

The Gwarinpa-Jahi Interchange is designed to ease traffic between two fast-growing districts.

The Wuye Arterial Road is improving internal district movement.

The Mabushi access roads, including ILS 11 and MAR 24, are opening up residential and commercial areas.

The Dakibiyu Sector Centre B access roads are supporting new urban expansion.

The Karsana Renewed Hope Estate access road supports housing development.

The Kaura erosion-control project protects roads and communities from flood damage.

The Central Area-to-Wuse transit way will improve movement between two major commercial districts.

The rehabilitation of Old Keffi Road from Kado to Dei-Dei is vital for daily commuters.

The Guzape engineering infrastructure project supports high-value district development.

The Asokoro layout infrastructure project strengthens one of Abuja’s prime residential zones.

Together, these projects show an Abuja being rebuilt for mobility, investment, housing and modern urban life.
Just look at the number of roads done in 3 years and some enemy of progress are still grumbling, if the previous governments have been intentional like the way Tinubu priorities infrastructure, Nigeria by now will be competing with some advanced countries.

Just look at bus terminals that is springing up in Lagos and the monorail extensions, the coastal road and the solar street light in all Federal roads, then you will admit that the city boy has taste for excellence
Politics › Re: Peter Obi's "Second Class Lower" – The Joke Is On You by Ttalk: 5:36pm On Jun 22
OredoPikin:
Peter Obi didn't go to school like you and I.

He didn't go to school to fight poverty or chase a 9-5.
He went to school for the fun of it. As a hobby.

By the time he graduated, he was already a dollar millionaire.
He had zero intention of using that degree to go job-hunting.

So it's funny when people use his 2nd class lower degree to mock him.

The truth is clear: He was never really "into studies" then. He was busy building his businesses, and making legit money while many students were burning midnight oil to get first class and work in big companies.
He even had houses within the school then collecting rents.

The man was already ahead financially before NYSC.

It’s even funnier seeing Tinubu supporters use that grade as an insult.
You mock a man who was making money in school for not getting A’s, while your own "excel man" is still being asked to present his own school records 40+ years later.

The Joke is really on you.
If he was making money when he supposed to be studying then now that he has made the money, he should go back to school to acquire good grade. Second class lower in Philosophy is worse than a 3rd class in Economics. He shouldn't use his low grade Philosophy brain to discuss economics issues

Politics › Re: "Peter Obi Will Never Rule Nigeria" Because He Will Block Corruption by Ttalk: 9:15pm On Jun 21
Validated:
If you never knew, know now. The real reason they are against Peter Obi becoming president.

1. Corruption in public offices will stop. Many people fighting Obi today are only doing so because of what they are looting and what they have looted.

2. Peter Obi will reduce cost of governance. Our bloated cost of governance will shrink to half if not less.

3. Electricity generation will pick up once we kill the endemic corruption in the sector. With a president like Peter Obi, generation, transmission and distribution will be fully outsourced to professionals with the caveat of perform or leave.

4. Armed Forces accountability: Today, nobody is accountable for anything from president to the security chiefs. The inspector General should not be sleeping in his house in Abuja when Ogbomosho students are in the bush. The chief of army staff should have no place in Abuja when Bornu is under siege.
Shape in or ship out.

5. Political will: Any responsible government would not be keeping 15 aircrafts in the presidential fleet. PO will sell all of them off and release funds for important national emergency like facilitating mechanized farming.

6. Borrowing to share will be terminated. There is entrenched Corruption in Nigeria that make things not to work. Budget padding and official Corruption in Anambra was eliminated by Obi, whence the House of Assembly impeached him. Nigeria 🇳🇬 needs reconfiguration. The only one with the clean hands to do that today is Peter Obi.

7. Subsidy removal gain, Iran-US-Israel war windfall is currently not accounted for. What did we make, where is the money. Tinubu and his team do not care and Nigerians are too docile to ask questions.

So, if you ever hear someone saying Obi will never be president of Nigeria 🇳🇬 know yhat they are indirectly telling you, " we do not want corruption to end".
Remind me of Pandora offshore account. A bank chairman who hid money in a safe haven bank where illicit money are hidden is the one who is not corrupt?

People are in charge of their water and power, because people do not want to pay the cost reflective tarrif for power and water.

If people paid the price for water and power, it would bite their pocket, but they won't need to be in charge of their water or power.

Both are expensive. You will pay a cost reflective tarrif, or you will pay the equivalent for borehole and inverter plus maintenance.
You are still not making sense, if it is cheap for me to provide my water and generate my power through solar why is it more expensive if government mass produce it where economies of scale comes in.

I've done my calculation based on my investment in my household power supply and I discovered it is more cheaper than what people in band A and B are paying
Politics › Re: Why Power Supply May Never Improve In Nigeria. by Ttalk: 6:15pm On Jun 21
nairalanda1:
So recently, Peter Obi made a comment that he was going to improve our power supply by 10000mw, which would take us up to 32000 mw...which should be enough for us to get light 24/7 (subject to the Siemens project working)...and the response was tinubu supporters making fun of Obi as a man without ideas, while Obi supporters praised their man as being wisdom incarnante.

Except that Obi did not tell us how he plans to do it.

Which essentially begs the question, how do we vote for a guy who promises us something, but does not tell us how to do it.

Which leads me back to Tinubu. IN 2023, tinubu said...if you vote me and I do not give you constant power supply, vote me out in 2027.

Naturally tinubu supporters were praising their man as being a tough minded leader, etc, etc....while Obi people are now calling in the receipts. Man has not done as promised so he should be kicked out.

Which leads me to my point.

Tinubu and obi never/have not told Nigerians how they intend to improve power supply.

The truth of the matter is, we have a plan, laid out by the experts, about power supply. A decent , strong plan....cost reflective tarrifs, ending power theft, and rolling out metering.

But neither tinubu nor obi, nor even atiku or any potential candidate would mention that because it does not win votes. (Sowore would probably announce a plan to give 24 hour light a day at N1 per kwh).

Nigerians , regardless of political party, like hearing populist language. If a leader came into office and started doing the things the experts have said we should do, he would be voted out. Or chased out. You will see the Fulani herdsmen marching with the Igbo farmer, the Yoruba trader marching with his Hausa counterpart, and there would be riots.

And the leader would be voted out.

That is why whoever takes office, won't be allowed to improve power because Nigerians think that electricity should be free of charge.

When in reality, it is not possible.

Electricity costs money. If you won;t pay for it in cost reflective tarrif, you will pay for it in generator and inverter monies. That is what Band A taught us.

And on that Band A, the idea of tinubu was not original. India has a similar system, present for decades, that commercial and industrial properties would pay a cost reflective tarrif and the profits would be used to pay for subsidising the poor farmers and rural people

And after doing that, has power supply in India improved? (No.).

Infact India is planning to make everyone pay cost reflective tarrfs in five years time.

SO, if it didn't work in India, how e go work in NIgeria?

The only way we can get free power is to take massive loans totalling nearly 2/3rd of our budgets for the next ten or more years...and while it may give us enough light, it would also put us in heavy debt for it.

In 2025, Prof Barth Nnaji, who is definetly not a Tinubu supporter put it well

SAUCE : LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPER

I have been saying the above for years, but people here abuse me, so I may as well quote the actual expert, who is a qualified engineer, a former ministar of power, and an owner of a GENCO.

And he is not the first or the last to state that this needs to be done. PwC have said it, several experts have been saying it, a BBC report said it, and so forth.

Yet, Nigerians and their candidates choose to believe the fiction of corruption or some evil Western zionist overmind does not want to give us light.

It is easier to believe conspiracy theory fiction

Like NIgerians, like candidates.

Good afternoon.

I expcet to be abused and to be told about other countries that somehow magically give free power(the macs won't add that those countries pay for it with heavy taxes, or heavy debt).
You don't have idea of what you are saying and it is annoying hearing you repeat same theory all along.

Power problem in Nigeria is not a problem of cost reflective issue, it is purely leadership insensitivity to the importance of electricity to economic growth.

Have you asked yourself why has no state government embarked on state power generation, transmission and distribution? It is because the willpower is not there but these state governors can spend money to marry wives, pilgrimages and donation to religion centres.

Electricity should not be expensive the way you portray it because the technology presently used to generate, transmit and distribute are not complex.

Again the lifespan of most of these equipment can be way above 50 to 100years before replacement, so what exactly is driving the cost that makes you think Nigerians can't afford it.

Your argument of bypass is very weak because there are many ways that can be curbed.

Stop making excuses for the moribund distribution companies that deserves nothing less than total ban

Ofunaofu:
That Tinubu has been a disaster and woefully incompetent is, for many Nigerians, no longer a matter of debate.

For many Nigerians, voting for Tinubu in 2027 is not even under consideration. They are searching for alternatives, and there is no shortage of options. Their question is simple: if the first term has been a disaster, a catastrophe, what exactly is a second term supposed to look like?

What makes the prospect even more unsettling is that a second term would be his final constitutionally permitted term. With no reelection campaign to worry about, many Nigerians fear that whatever restraint exists today could vanish tomorrow.

To many, the Tinubu administration is the most insensitive government in Nigeria's history. It has overseen crushing economic hardship, rising hunger, worsening insecurity, and persistent power failures.

What angers many Nigerians even more is the perception that neither Tinubu nor his handlers have shown any genuine remorse.

Rather than acknowledging the depth of the suffering, they continue to tell Nigerians to endure the pain, hardship, and even the deaths that have accompanied the economic crisis, insisting that these are necessary sacrifices for a better future.

For struggling Nigerians, that message rings hollow. It is difficult to embrace promises of tomorrow when survival today has become a daily battle.

Now, as 2027 approaches, Nigerians are asking a question that strikes at the heart of the matter: if this is what Renewed Hope looks like, what on earth would "Renewed Hopelessness look like?

Obviously, the Renewed hope have turned out to be a Scam

If one term has left millions struggling to afford food, fuel, cooking gas, transportation, basic amenities, what reason is there to believe that another term would somehow deliver different results?

For many Nigerians, in 2027, a Tinubu second term is not a gamble worth taking.
Law of attraction is playing out to as many of you who out of jealousy have thrown your thinking cap into river niger to unleash your venom of anger on someone who rescue Nigeria from colossal failure.

Change your mindset so that things will work better for you, right now Nigerians are seeing the positive impact of the reform with all economic indices positive and accolades are coming from international institution but one Obidients in his hollow mind is painting the dark image of his mind and want people to believe.

Yesterday bye election across many states in Nigeria has proved that media criticism won't result to vote. tongue

Media abuse and anger is not election campaign. SM propaganda is not political mobilisation
