Streetinvestor2: The Sw president and his gang think they can play smart in 2027.They want obi to leave the coalition and contest separately so that it will be easy to rig like 2023 by dividing the votes. This will make easier to rig with little margin and say go to court. Obi or who ever in the coalition can only defend his vote under a bigger coalition because of large difference. And when is time to defend the vote they won't play the tribal card of igbos and hausa game.
I know Tinubu can't lose in 2027 but if he lose, just know that the SW will support SS when presidency return to the South.
Afterall Obj ruled and Tinubu is ruling
They so much like SW president but against sey becoming the next governor of lagos. Why |

Justnation: The only reason why south west is smelling the presidency is because of the dubious distortions of the events of the civil war which the Lagos - lbadan media deployed to set the East against the North.
Thanks to Babangida who has finally debunked and corrected that useless narrative
Today the East now see the north no longer as enemies but brothers who suffered a similar fate.
2027 election will reveal more.
The kind of tribal bigotry employed by the West against the south East is unbelievable. I agree with u. Boko Haram in the north IPOB in the East |

Politics › Re: Obi/atiku Ticket Will Flush Tinubu Out Of Aso Rock by Ttalk: 7:42pm On Jul 30, 2025 |
Justnation: You are 💯 correct. Tinubu has no electoral value outside his Yoruba enclosure.
Tinubu only won votes up north because of buhari and El RUFAI who rallied the north to repay tinubu for supporting buhari in 2015. Today both buhari ( late) and El RUFAIi has abandoned tinubu.
OBI and ATIKU each has massive support base all over Nigeria, and won millions of votes on their individual merit. You said more than this in 2023 and still got defeated. Your region needs a spiritual cleansing to become VP in Nigeria and until you beg the SW before you can win presidential election and that will be in 2039 |

Karlman: I dare you to mention your state of origin in south west? There is no state in the entire south West that has anything better than other states in Nigeria. They are all dilapidated like their mates all over the country.
Stop claiming lagos, because your father's were farming cocoa and other crops in Oyo and Ogbomoso when Nigerians in general made Lagos what it is today. You will first tell me your village in the East and back it up with your letter of identification from your LG then come and I will show you my state, my family name and my oriki. |

Karlman: It very well matters where they came from. The real owners of lagos has never complained about igbos or Igbo street names. It is other yorubas who came to lagos like igbos did that are hating on igbos and claiming lagos. You all have your states like every other Nigerians in lagos. We complain about your excessiveness and your greediness. When did you become advocate of the Lagosians when your region is daily being ravaged by kidnappers and criminals |

This is a man that failed woefully as Lagos state governor even with all the huge resources at his disposal. So why do people expect miracle from this man who only just wants to answer "President" with no plan for anyone except for himself, his friends and family members? AMINDA: Flawed logic. The SS had the opportunity to be Vice President in 2023, why didn't they vote Okowa if being a VP is that important to them? If Okowa couldn't deliver his state let alone his region as an incumbent governor and a Vice Presidential candidate, why should the people of the SS now vote a non-performing Tinubu for another 4 years in anticipation of an uncertain promise of a VP slot? What's the worth of a promise from a Southwesterner? Is it bankable? You know the answer. Record have shown that the SW are more politically smarter than you can ever dream of. You may need the best mathematician in the world to compute the figure for you, shout on top of your voice and abuse as much as you can, but Tinubu will still defeat whoever you support. |

Charlie2020: A very divisive assertion indeed. Quote me, this statement would be used against Igbos. The Ronus will claim it was Igbos that made that statement. History has it that a former governor of Lagos state, Lateef Jakande, was allegedly the first to make the statement LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND, but the blood-thirsty, parochial, narrow-minded, ethnocentric and igbophobic Ronus used the statement to haunt and persecute Igbos in a land where arguably, they have contributed more than any other. Who are the people promoting the statement here on Nairaland of not the Igbo. They have opened several thread this morning claiming they are the largest ethnic group in Nigeria. Yes, we will use this statement against them in 2027 |

owobokiri: For a very long time, we have minded our businesses in Lagos, basically just making money and staying in our spaces. But that has to change now that you and your types have chosen to attack. Destroying houses, attacking igbo voters and burning markets. We will now engage by collaborating with whosoever that is interested to really dictate tunes in Lagos. You have been crying, but you will soon have real reasons to cry..
With the APC, you insecure lot have shown your ulterior plans towards a peaceful people. We never dragged Lagos with anyone, but that will now change. Go and get ready, because we are ready to drag Lagos with whosoever shows up. Lagos does not belong to you or anyone. As long as Nigeria subsists, Lagos is a NO MANS LAND.
Make Tilimgbu finish first.. Those who do nzogbu nzogbu will always end up beaten, brutalized and frustrated. Just street naming is causing so much hullabaloo, what if we now ask them to go, they will petition, FIFA, NFA, UNESCO and NEPA. You aren't seeing anything yet |

It hurts when I read thrash like this coming out from people who themselves had renamed, demolished and outrightly banned people from visiting and hosting religion gathering in their region.
When it is done by the Igbo, it is right, but the moment others do theirs then all hells would be let loose.
The hypocrisy and self entitlement is nauseating.
As a Lagos indigene, do you know how many of my properties, family heritage have been taken, destroyed without compensation?
The roads, schools, hospitals, barracks, government institutions in Lagos state was once someone's ancestral property taken by same dysfunctional system without compensation.
The soul of true Lagos indigene cries for liberation from oppressors within and outside.

CoronaVirusPro: I am glad you exposed your level of reasoning.
So because a class of people called my father’s house a no man’s house means I should persecute all strangers, or you are of the belief that every Igbo person shares that same ideology.
You see, when I read the rhetorics your likes share, it convinces more that a genocide is still possible in modern times. You will use same rhetorics of a few to judge many. Read up my first post on this thread and you will see my concern about how behavior of some Igbo will tarnish the image of the entire Igbo people and that has already started not only in Nigeria but across the world. Now to the issue of Lagos renaming street, I strongly doubt if you have any interest in that state other than to loot and exploit its resources but care less what becomes of the state at the end of the day, otherwise you would see the direction and coordinated attempt of a region to take over and plunder Lagos Lastly, real Lagos indigene know the problems and they know and have the right to solve the problem their way. Intruders back off. We will never because of political expediency destroy our culture and heritage. Enough |
