An Open Letter to Tonto And Churchill, By Paulcy Cyprian Iwuala

Good morning world. Many times I have seen people write about their crush, their idol and people they cherish so much. I doubt if I have ever penned down how much I adored anyone, but today, I will do it and I'm directing it to Oladunni Churchill, Tonto Dike's husband.

Churchill, when I first heard about you and Tonto, I was full of envy and jealousy. This is because obviously, I'm not from the elites family like the Obasanjos. And because money can buy different kinds of love and mine can't buy the kind yours would, if you know what I mean..

Churchill, I have met your wife and we have been very good friends. It wasn't in the time of fancy phones and pictures, so we didn't have much memory in pictures. We had decent fun times together. Nothing was hidden. We boarded ABC transport from Port Harcourt to Lagos when she was going to shoot her first movie, directed by my very good friend, Nwabueze (Creative Image Creations).

We ended sleeping in the bus on our way because Redeemed Church was so packed that there was no road to pass. We got to Lagos in the morning. She faced some setbacks and I was there to stand in and made her get about her first role in a movie as a sub lead, which she professionally and perfectly did.

And then, the slap in the movie that Mercy Johnson didn't take well. Mercy Johnson actually returned the slap, which of course wasn't in the script. I'm wondering if that is the reason for their enmity since then, but I'm glad they resolved their issues. And Mercy Johnson, as lovely as she is, took it well, kudos to her sense of maturity, but that is not the reason for this post.

Dear Churchill, to cut the story short, Tonto Dike is a very lovely woman. We spent days together. We laughed and cried together in my friend's house, Clems Onyeka (RIP). We shared everything like we were sisters and brothers. Truly, we might have shared a kiss but she was not that lose to get down with.

Tonto is a mother, a friend and above all, a kindhearted girl. And Godly too. Marriages come with their pressures but we must stay strong. We can only succeed when we remember the reason we said 'I do'. Why did you say I do, Churchill? And, dear Tonto, I'm not afraid that you will always be happy. You are a good girl, a very wonderful person, the kind that comes for filming and end up giving out the money she was paid for the movie. Yes, we had our bad sides but I'm very certain it is a side I wil live with if given the opportunity.

Therefore, before this issue of marriage gets much out of hand, I want Mr and Mrs Churchill to read this and understand that they have to retrace their steps and make it work for them. I love you both. I hope this gets to you both to get your shit together before the public help you do that. And Tonto is my crush. Anytime.

Religion / I Suspended My Members For Watching Emmanuel Tv - Hezekiah by tufur24(m): 11:45pm On Dec 08, 2016
The founder and General overseer of Living Christ Mission incorporated, Rev. Daddy Hezekiah, said that he had to suspend some of his church members for watching Emmanuel Television channel, owned by pastor T. B Joshua, founder of Synagogue of All Nations church, Lagos - Nigeria .
Hezekiah, who is also the owner of Hezekiah University, Umudi, Imo state, said that he does not like the style of the teleevangelist which prompted him in barring his members from matching any of his programs on television.
Hezekiah who was responding to the widely reported prophecy by Joshua that Hillary Clinton would win the just concluded United States of America presidential election said "I am not against T. B Joshua neither are mine mocking him. The truth is that I don't like his style. He dwells more on miracles rather than preaching salvation".
He continued "I told the members of this church not to watch Emmanuel Television. I had to suspend those who disobed the instruction. They are free to watch Oyedepo, Adeboye, even Kumuyi but not T B Joshua. The other ones preach salvation but T. B Joshua is more interested in performing miracles . Why would you ask somebody to be vomiting in church all in the name of performing miracles ? ".
The man of God called on church leaders to dwell more in preaching salvation to their members rather miracles all the time, saying that the world is waiting on men of God to lead the crusade for the transformation of the society.
Hezekiah, called on the president Muhammadu Buhari, led administration to work towards alleviating the hardship in the society, even as he said that the government must stop dwelling on the problems of the past and embrace the challenges of the moment so as to better the welfare of the people.
The general overseer called on the Governors of the south East region to think out of the box and provide solution to the myriad of problems facing the region.
Hezekiah, advised the fulani herdsmen not to be lawless because Buhari who is their brother is the president of the country, even as he urged the federal government to bring immediate solution to the problem of cattle rearing in the country.
According to him "the fulani herdsmen should not be lawless simply because their brother is the president of the country. When Obasanjo was the president, it did not make the Yoruba people to become lawless neither did the igbo people become unlawful when Nnamdi Azikiwe was the president. The federal government must prohibit the fulani herdsmen from bearing arms ".

Suspect remanded in custody for $8,674 USD fraud

Pleads not guilty

Remanded in prison till December 6th

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, on Monday November 28, 2016, docked one Okwara Victory before Justice I.B Gafai of the Federal High Court Awka in Anambra State, for charges bothering on obtaining by false pretense to the tune of $8,674USD.
When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty on all counts of the three count charge preferred against him by the EFCC.
In view of his plea, the Defense Counsel Barr. Emma Onyibor applied for the bail of his client adding that his client had been on administrative bail granted him by the EFCC, and had not defaulted but reported regularly to the EFCC whenever he was needed.
But the Prosecuting Counsel Barr. Habila Jonathan informed the court that he was served the motion for bail, shortly before court proceeding and needed time to study and respond.

The court upheld the argument of the EFCC counsel as the Judge was yet to study the bail application which the defense also served the court shortly before proceedings. The court then ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody, while the case was adjourned to December 6, 2016, for hearing and consideration of bail.

One of the charge against the accused person reads: That you Okwara Victory sometime in the month of April 2016 at Onitsha within Awka Jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, with intent to defraud did obtained the sum of N1,332,420 (one million three hundred and thirty two thousand four and twenty naira) being the naira equivalent of $4,190 (Four Thousand One Hundred and Ninety US Dollars) from one Ekweaba Oyemechi when you falsely represented yourself to him that your girlfriend who lives in America will send you $4,190 (Four Thousand One Hundred Ninety US Dollars ) meant for your return ticket to America, a pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to section1(1)(a) of the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act of 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.

Celebrities / AMAA Warns Imo State Government Against Impersonators by tufur24(m): 10:38pm On Nov 28, 2016
Organisers of the African Movie Academy Awards have warned Imo State Government against falling into the hands of impostors using its acronyms and other images in a dubious move to hoodwink the state and members of the public.
In a press statement issued by its Director of Administration, Mr. Tony Anih strongly states that the pan-African awards designed to celebrate and reward filmmakers does not organize any beauty pageant and decried any attempt by anyone or group to use its name and statuettes and other brand identities.

“Our attention has been drawn to certain media advert publications, both in the formal and social media alike, of an event by an unknown entity to us, referring to themselves as AMAA (African Modeling Academy Awards) with an Award by them billed to take place at the Imo State Convention Centre on the 2nd December 2016, purportedly in collaboration with the Imo State Government; with the organization behind it “passing themselves off” as if they are indeed part and parcel of our own organization; Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) or that they are in some way affiliated to us and or operating with our blessing and mandate.

"We categorically state that this is completely false without any equivocation, as the so called entity referred to as AMAA (Africa Modelling Academy Awards) have no links whatsoever to us, direct or indirect or in any other wise. Our organization has been in existence and operating successfully both locally and globally for a period spanning 12 years to date and has during this period, acquired tremendous goodwill and recognition both locally and internationally with an excellent track record and strong brand presence.

“Whilst reserving our full rights in the necessary action we shall clearly be taking against the so called faceless AMA entity, the Government of Imo State and indeed the general public is hereby clearly warned to be careful in associating directly or indirectly with this unknown and faceless entity that has been parading itself as being AMAA or in some way affiliated to us, as they have no relationship nor nexus whatsoever to us and are clearly infringing our rights and may well be fraudsters. Any person or entity, government or otherwise thus dealing with them does so clearly at their own risk.”
