Woe betide you though if you get to Onitsha and there is traffic before the bridge, I recently lost 3 hours there and 1 hour within Owerri....

So it may seem longer but you may be better off heading towards PH then linking calabar, you will never see such a lockjam

Google is directing me towards onitsha, aba/owerri road, ikot ekpene den linking Calabar. as the fastest possible route.

I don't know if this their own route is the simplest and also the best in terms of good roads.
