I can never like it

We just started being together not quite long ago. About 6 months ago. Initially, when we started, she would sometimes be moody. So I asked her one day why she was moody and she told me about a guy in her school she loves very well but it seems the guy doesn't love her. She was the one forcing herself on the guy. And the guy is one gentle guy. She would almost cry then but I'll console her not to and we got along. I was initially thinking I should step back because that guy could be a budding threat. As we continued, we got more intimate that we started making out. And we both enjoyed it. So recently, I stopped talking to her and she had more time to talk to that guy. After a while, we spoke and she was like since I didn't care about her, she wanted to be too. She was actually angry at me but I was thinking she already moved on without me until we made out again. But the other guy isn't that sexually oriented guy. He's cool. My concern now is if I should still go after her or just leave her because she might later follow the guy. Her birthday is coming soon and I want to surprise her but I'm skeptical about it. I don't want to be like a fool. But I seriously love her but I'm not sure if she loves me but I know she loves that guy. She also doesnt talk about the guy in my presence anymore ( maybe she doesn't want me to be jealous, I don't know). Moderator pls help move to front page. Thanks

With the gradual ease of the war the noble pandemic is ravaging on the world including our blessed country Nigeria (the "blessed country" part, will be saved as a subject of discussion for another day), when do you think Nigerian youths will be allowed to continue their studies in their various chosen learning institutions?

The Federal Government has said that Nigerians infected by the coronavirus would not be evacuated to the country, adding that they would receive treatment in their country of residence.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the positive cases could not wait till they were repatriated home before starting treatment, noting that this would be dangerous to their host community

This corona virus thing is actually becoming a serious thing but we're seeming to be insensitive. In my opinion, I think all football activities should be suspended for now. It wouldn't be surprising if the next victim to be announced is a world known person. This is when we will understand.

It's so disappointing and disheartening that the basic table manners that most of us were taught perhaps with rhymes and poems when we were young do not have any impact in our daily lives today. One of the most important of these table manners is "do not talk while eating". Many of us probably think this etiquette is just to avoid being seen as an uncultured person especially outside our dining table, but it is far more than that, according to scientific research. I'll try to give a simple illustration with anatomical correlates which after reading, I hope will convince you by making you see reasons why you do your self more harm than good if you talk while eating.
Did you know that swallowing is a complicated process? You're surprised right? What happens behind your wide mouth is far more complicated than what you know as just gobbling a bite of pizza.
Imagine a large room (pharynx) with three openings or doors. One separately on one side (soft palate) and the other two lying side by side on the opposite side (epiglottis and esophageal opening). The first door leading to a room with transformer where electricity is generated (nasal cavity), the second opening having a passage leading to a room where wires are connected to receive electricity from the transformer (trachea leading to the lungs) and the third with a passage leading to a large tank for successive distribution (esophagus leading to stomach). Now assume that the large room (pharynx) is flooded by water (food). The first and second doors have to be locked swiftly, (closure of the trachea and nasal cavity by epiglottis and soft palate respectively) within seconds to prevent water from coming in contact with electricity, which we are aware of the havoc it can cause. This closure allows the water to efficiently flow down the third passage (esophagus) into the large tank (stomach). The process of talking largely depends on the frequent opening and closing of the second door (epiglottis). When you talk and eat, you unconsciously raise the risk of allowing flood (food) into the first and second room (nasal cavity and lungs), which may cause damage to the electricity supply and result in power outage.
The large room( pharynx) which subserves respiration and swallowing (depicted by the electricity and large tank respectively) must be quickly converted to attract that allows only swallowing, without compromising respiration. Can you now see that the whole process of swallowing is quite complicated?
I'm sure you know now that it's of more good to close you're mouth (stop talking)while eating and allow the complex process of swallowing to occur easily and efficiently.

FG has again failed to reach an agreement with the leadership of the Academic Staff union of universities over it's ongoing strike after a meeting held on Monday behind closed doors at the federal ministry of education.
