He was afterward taken to Gbagada Girls Junior High School , where he also commissioned 3 blocks of fully furnished classrooms, 24 modern toilets, a hall and a recreation Arena. The students trooped out of their classes with the chanting of the governor's name, raising white flags with Lagos state logo and also honoured him with cultural display

"The governor in his words said "We are very grateful to Alabi on the good works he is doing in Bariga especially in the area of health care and education, and the children will surely get quality education and brighter future with this educational facilities"

The last point of call for the governor was the network of roads constructed at Apelehin, the ward F area of Bariga , the five newly constructed roads are Adetoke street, Omobokun street, Ewenla street , Community street and Emmanuel Church street. Before the advent of this administration the area was been referred to as mosquito village , this was due to the level of decadence associated with the area, but now referred to as Transformation city after his intervention.

Speaking at the Ewenla end of the road, Hon Alabi said he decided to bring succor to the people of the area after his ward tour on assumption of office.

The council chief eulogizing the governor said the 21 roads in which 18 has been delivered so far by the administration, was to complement the 11 roads under construction and nearing completion by the administration of Mr Sanwo-Olu.

The council boss said Governor Sanwo-Olu facilitated the completion of the inaugurated roads, noting that the Governor, after listening to the council’s complaint, immediately mobilised contractors handling the projects back on the sites.

“Bariga LCDA has been benefiting from the magnanimity of Governor Sanwo-Olu. I recall his efforts towards the completion of some roads that has been abandoned in Bariga by the State, I made a complaint to him about the neglect of the roads and he immediately approved that the contractors should return to sites to ensure the projects are completed, and they are nearing 80 percent now

Alabi said the usefulness of the projects to the people demonstrated the capacity of the council to transform development programmes in the grassroots..

The Governor while addressing the mammoth crowds present at Ewenla, said Alabi has demonstrated a good leadership qualities , as this was the first local government he will visit and made full tour and he was indeed happy with what he saw.

“Hon. Kolade intervened in education sector with the building of three modern classroom blocks in Gbagada Girls Junior Secondary School, build 24 toilets, hall and donated 4 buses to carry the pupils free of charge. He also intervened in infrastructure, given all the roads he has built for the people of Bariga. This is a real transformation of a local government and I will use this good example in Bariga council as a point of contact to other local council chairmen.” says the governor .

As a reward for the quality of projects delivered, and it will also serve as his valentine gift to the people of Bariga , Sanwo-Olu promised to appoint a Special Adviser from Bariga Local Council to support the State Government’s effort in driving more development at the grassroots. He charged other council chairmen to emulate the example set by the Bariga council boss, saying their social programmes and capital projects must address the welfare of their residents

”As a Government, the quality of projects we have inaugurated today demonstrate our commitment to lifting people at the grassroots and show them that our labour is to improve their well being. We will be starting massive rehabilitation of St. Finbar’s Road, we will be rehabilitating Jagunmolu Street, Diya Street and Sholuyi Street”

He concluded by telling the chairman that the reward of hard work is more work .

The event was made colorful by the Sanwoolu babes and the Bariga singers who entertained the governor with good musics and lyrics.

CrimeStill On The Air Peace Chairman's Matter, A Banker's Perspective by tunderay(op):
*Copied !*

Now guys,

I was a Banker and still a finance man so I know the game. This is what played out here.

This may not be what it seems at all. It seems like a "normal " Nigerian business man practise.
Many people will be indicted if this is considered a fraud.

It is essentially a deception of the Nigerian banking system but which even bank executives are aware of and get their share and the bank loses nothing at the end of the day. The american system is not defrauded by a single penny .This is how it works.

1. Mr x wants to buy 6 airplanes for his business. The cost of air planes is $1m each so total of $6m.

2. He approaches the bank for a loan but says the planes are $12m

3. He cannot get an invoice from the airplane manufacturer for that value, so he gets his own registered company abroad to issue an invoice to his company in Nigeria for the $12m . He does not claim his company abroad is an aerioplane manufacturer, but rather an aviation trading company who will supply the planes

4. Bank gives him a properly executed loan for the naira equivalent of $12m which he has to pay back and will probably also provide some guarantees and additional security and provides the fx either by transfer or by letter of credit.

5. The $ 12m is released and transferred abroad to his company ( the seller) , the company pays the $6m to the manufacturer and actually does acquire the airplanes and $ 6m balance is sent to his own personal account.

The result is that the company in Nigeria which he owns is now obligated to pay back a loan of $12m instead of $6m and as long as they pay, everyone is happy including the banks who have given out a hefty loan and make their interest, the senior bankers who approved it without the due diligence of insisting the invoice should be from a manufacturer and also checking international prices for such, the manufacturer who has sold airplanes and been paid and the businessman who has made a $6m dollar advance profit on his business before it even starts.

The real problem is that the business case for the airline may not be able to support the repayment of $12m in the loan period but would have done so if the loan was only $6m. The business then fails as a result, goes into liquidation, the bank has only the asset to fall back on which is in reality on the open market below the loan value, but the biz man has his $6m and is enjoying life.

Its essentially called " over invoicing" and at least 80 percent of business people here do it. The main difference however is that most times , the invoice comes from the manufacturer directly and the amount on top is probably about 2 to 5 percent of the real value , which after the manufacturer receives payment, they now pay out as commission to the businessman.
I assure you many children's FX school. fees were paid like this.

Its just that "big boys" want to take control of the whole chain and slap up hefty margins that no sane manufacturer would allow or invoice for.

He has technically not laundered any money. It is a victimless "crime" except upon himself who may have compromised his own business and saddled himself with future large loans to repay just to live large immediately, and of course bank shareholders who have to write off the bad loan if the business fails. The executives will then be called to answer how they approved such a loan.
Another failsafe option is that he takes the fx which was aquired at bank rate and then resells it on the black market for a hefty margin. Pays the bank the equivalent of $6m at bank rate imeediately reducing the naira loan to $6m and pockets the spread on the fx sale.!! This way, he has even made money ( not nearly as much as keeping the $6m) through the system without exposing his co to excessive loans !!!
This is why you see so many rich Nigerians without any real operating businss with large business that have totally failed but they are still able to live the good life with ease.

American govt will probably indict him on a technicallity of moving fumds but not really of a crime as such within their system.

So you see he is already denying it and he is right logically and legally.

Apparently, you either live in one of those areas where it is tarred and motorable or you work for him..

A real and impartial resident of Bariga will never give Mr Kolade Alabi a pass mark!

I represented my street during a meeting with him in his office in Bawala and I know what I'm talking about.

Omo ALade Alafia where he has a house is in excellent and interlocked state because it was done by Federal government in conjunction with World Bank..

What about nearby Awofodu , Onajinmi, and Ajiwun for instance where he packed sand and gravel as ' cosmetics ' to tar and rehabilitate then later abandoned?

What of streets like Olorunkemi, Awomodu, Oshipitan, Ajidagan, Mutairu, Adifashe, Adeshina, Oshipitan, Ijagbemi, Jagunmolu, Buraimoh, Akilo, Lanre Awolokun, and a host of several othershuh

You mentioned a tiny fragement of roads he rehabilitated (with substantial materials at that ) and you think all is well??

Look, no one is putting him down because I have nothing to gain doing that but as a citizen and resident, we should tell our leader when they are not doing it right..

Followership is not about ass-kissing or sycophacy but being blunt!

I attended a meeting with him in Bawala and I bluntly told him my view TO HIS FACE and he did not take offence!

So, it is not about unreasonable criticism borne out of hatred, but about constrictive criticism for him to do better!

WE wont be doing them any good if we are syncopants!
This is an issue of sycophant or asslicking , you are saying what you know, I am sating what I know, o never said you have no right to complain, but don't deny me the right to what I see too.

At the end of the day, we want a good thing for Bariga.

However, you never addressed the issue of relocating to Abuja, or am I been sycophant about that too?

You said you told him to his face he has not done anything, that's fine. I love that, and wish to know you more as a Bariga guy.

Working where?

In Jagunmolu, Odunsi, Lanre Awolokun, Ajidagan, Mutairu, Olorunkemi, Oredola, Awomodu, Adeshina, Ijagbemi, Awofodu, Oshipitan, Onajinmi, Ajiwun, Abeokuta, Buraimoh, Alfa Aminu, Gbagad Phase 1, Sogbamu, Akilo abi?,

I can continue to list and list and that should tell you I'm a resident of Bariga LCDA..

A man that has abandoned drainage and road projects in Awofodu ( where he once lived), Onajinmi and Ajiwun making life hard for motorists and residents! Even Omo-Alade Alafia where he has a house, he gives no damn about!

The same Hon Alabi that we heard has relocated to Abuja...

Dude, please, don't insult our sensibilities with lies and propaganda!
You have the right as a resident to criticise , but you need to be sincere and have facts to back it up.

Even though most roads in Bariga are not in good condition, the man has been trying his best , there are over 400 roads in Bariga, how many can he fix even if he's given five terms, he has been able to fix some roads as far as I'm concern, I know of Akanbi, Danmole, Eyiwouawi, Oguntona, and those nearing completion , Adetoke, Emmanuel, Ewe NLA, Church street, Jolaosho, Adeyinka Oshijo, and he has started work at Falade .

what is wrong with Omo Alade Alafia, tell us , I know the road is an interlocked road.

Then you said you heard he has relocated to Abuja, and you never confirm if that is so.

let's have fear of God in all our dealings , we will gain nothing trying to pull down another man.

finally, I agree you are complaining becos ilhe ought to have. done more than we expected, however, you know in your mind that ODUNSI is a state govt project and its almost complete as drainages have been fixed, work is ongoing at Ajiun, Ososa, and other roads in that axis.

On issue of Somolu, how on earth can you be comparing Somolu, a local govt that Bariga was expunged from , and what exactly has Somolu done , go and bring his scorecard here.

PoliticsALGON President Remains In Office.- NEC Members. by tunderay(op): 11:01pm On Sep 08, 2019
Members of the National Executive Council(NEC) of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) have expressed shock over a purported communique removing their national president, Mr Kolade Alabi.
According to them, there was no such meeting where the decision was taken.
They urged the media to always verify information from the right sources before going to press.
ALGON Secretary-General Binta Bello wondered where such meeting was held.
Bello said: “My attention has been drawn to an alleged meeting of ALGON National Executive Council on the 6th of September.
“I want to confirm that no such meeting was held. As the Secretary-General of the association, the responsibilities of the process of convening such meeting is vested on me or as delighted by me of which neither of the two happened. It is rather unfortunate to claim that such a meeting took place which further claimed the removal of the incumbent President Mr Kolade Alabi. I urge all ALGON Staff to guides against an illegitimate information and to remain.”
According to Nassarawa State ALGON Chairman Aminu Muazu Maifata, the entire story is a hoarse capable of destroying the main fabrics of ALGON and should therefore be deeply investigated.
“I write to refute the purported removal of Kolade David Alabi – the incumbent National President of ALGON as circulated on the on-line platform of national newspaper.
Read Also: ALGON’s president slams sack of Oyo council chiefs
“To the best of my knowledge, neither was there a NEC meeting nor a resolution to that effect without the National Secretariat’s Knowledge,” Maifata said.
His Akwa Ibom State counterpart Frank Archibong said the report is grossly misleading and absolutely condemnable in all ramifications.
“I am not only an Exco Member of ALGON, I am also a NEC member of our association.
“How
can anyone be so unkind to his nation and deliberately want to cause confusion to a most dynamic and trusted leadership more so that the writer is “faceless”!
“In a few days, the entire ALGON NEC will be meeting where the source of the publication will be unravelled with the media in attendance.”
Taofeek Isa from Kogi Statte chapter described the report as “unfounded, reckless and most embarrassing.”
“As a member of ALGON NEC, I emphatically deny knowledge of any meeting where our NEC “removed the democratically elected Kolade Alabi” as ALGON President.
“Suffice to say that the mischievous individual who sponsored the dastardly publication to embarrass the amiable National President for personal benefits is an inconsequential rascal known to all members. I urge you to discountenance the fictitious story as published,” Isa said.
Taraba State ALGON Chairman Stephen Ibrahim said the person that signed the communique is not known to the association.
Ibrahim said: “My attention has been drawn to purported removal of our national president Kolade Alabi where one Andrew Alu who though claims to be the National Publicity Secretary. This is Scandalous with a most haunting venom of “the ranting of an ant”.
“More importantly, Not only is the said Andrew Alu unknown to the body of ALGON, we do not also have such name as our National Publicity Secretary. I confirm to you that no NEC meeting was held at Nicon Hotels.”
Ezekiel Pabuet from Plateau said: “Gone are the days where imposters can be used to tarnish and undermine the image of a very serious body like ALGON that was once a formidable voice in this country for which the present leadership is trying to bring back.
“We cannot sit and watch people of questionable and unstable character that are not even part of ALGON and never contested an election of any ALGON Office to make such flagrant and unfortunate statement.
“Such action must be investigated and handed over to Security Agents when found culpable in order to serve as lesson to others.”

FamilyNew Jersey Court Ruled In Favour Of Brother And Sister's Marriage by tunderay(op): 3:10pm On Aug 17, 2019
Brother and sister get married after 10years of legal battle in court.

New Jersey siblings ( a brother and sister) have won the right to marry after a landmark ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States.

According to local reporters, in a 5-to-4 ruling, five judges unanimously granted the appeal by James Banes, 41, and Victoria Banes, 38, to get married after a ten-year long battles in court.

The over-joyed pair said they did it for the millions of Americans who have consensual incestuous relationships and are living in fear, hence, blasted the Government for wasting taxpayers’ money fighting their challenge for ten years.

“Incest has been practiced by humans since the dawn of time. If Adam and Eve hadn’t done it, the human race would not be here today.” James Banes told local reporters after his historic victory.

The Banes family lawyer, Julianne Grey, argued that criminalizing incestuous marriage while first-cousin marriage was legal in the state of New Jersey, was a nonsensical and discriminatory measure.

“Why am I allowed to bang my cousin but not my sister? It just doesn’t make any sense,” James Banes criticized outside of court.

The couple that was facing up to 15 years in jail said that they were now planning to start a large family and enjoy their newly found freedom.

“We’ve always dreamt of having a big family, now this dream will become a reality.” added Victoria Banes, who also told reporters she is pregnant and expecting twins.

Previously, New Jersey state, laws only allowed first-cousin marriages but since the landmark ruling, New Jersey is now the only state in the country or the world to allow incestuous marriages.

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally sent his list of ministerial nominees to the senate, TheCable can report.
Unlike during his first term when he appointed only 36 ministers — one per state — he has decided to also appoint one per geo-political zone, bringing the total to 43, TheCable understands.
The list was sent to the senate on Monday evening via executive communication and is expected to be read on the floor of the senate on Tuesday.
The senate, which will be proceeding on a two-month recess on Thursday, is expected to screen the nominees.
Contrary to speculations, only about 12 ministers will be re-appointed from the former cabinet.

PoliticsAtiku INEC Server Scam Of The Century by tunderay(op): 2:38am On Jul 21, 2019
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his Peoples Democratic Party had eggs on their faces Friday as the theory of an INEC server, the pillar of their cases against President Muhammadu Buhari collapsed like a house built with sand.
There was no INEC server. There was no result published on INEC server. Atiku had been scammed big time and it will go into the records as the scam of the century.
That was the loud and clear message at the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja as Atiku closed his case and the court adjourned till 29 July for the defence to open its case.
There is certainly no need for the defence to open any case. There is nothing to defend as Atiku and the PDP had failed convincingly to prove the existence of any other result apart from the one declared by INEC on 27 February, with Buhari beating Atiku by about four million votes. Buhari got 15.1 million votes, Atiku got 11.2million votes.
According to Atiku, the INEC server gave him victory over Buhari, winning 18,356,732 votes to defeat Buhari who he claimed scored 16,741,430 votes.
With the anti-climax of Friday, Atiku’s case, all the past weeks had become a riveting theatre of the absurd and entertainment. He and his team of legal luminaries and witnesses had wasted everyone’s time, pushing a specious thesis that does not exist. A server, now where is the server?
On the last day of providing irrefutable proof that he won the presidential election and beat President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku’s two ‘star witnesses’ were a study in high comedy.
Both the uncertified ‘expert’ from Kenya, David Ayu Nyango Njoga and former aviation minister Osita Chidoka miserably failed to establish the existence of the server allegedly used by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the transmission of election results during the last general elections.
Incredibly the two star witnesses, who claimed they had information that INEC used a server, got their information from anonymous sources, possibly in a beer parlour or the dark web of whistleblowing.
Both witnesses stammered when challenged to authenticate their claims.
Chidoka ought to have known better. He was a witness to the manual collation of the presidential election result at the International Conference Centre in Abuja after the election on 23 February. How did he come about the INEC server theory?
He confirmed to the Presidential Election Tribunal that the results were collated nationwide manually, and still added idiotically that he learnt the result of the election was “transmitted by INEC electronically to the INEC server.”
He collapsed under cross-examination by lawyer to INEC, Yunus Usman (SAN). When asked if he witnessed the transmission, Chidoka said he was not present when the alleged electronic transmission was done.
On whether he has ever seen the said server or known its location, the witness said: “I have not seen the server, but before the election and during collation, the INEC Chairman talked about the existence of server.”
Was Chidoka oblivious of the fact that INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu ruled out electronic transmission of results even before we went to the polls?
When asked to provide the server address, Chidoka said the one he referred to was the same address provided by the anonymous whistleblower.
Chidoka said he witnessed the manual collation of election results at the national level and was told by his party’s agents that collation was also manual at the state, ward and polling unit levels.
Under cross-examination by lawyer to President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Alex Izinyon (SAN), Chidoka admitted that he did not witness all he claimed happened during the election.
Njoga, who claimed to be an Information Technology (ICT) expert from Kenya, said he was engaged by the petitioners to analyse results of the election as obtained from INEC server and stored in a website:“https://www.factsdontlieng.com/.
When asked whether INEC owns the website, the witness said no, but that the data it contains are from INEC server.
Njoga, claimed that the website: “https://www.factsdontlieng.com/” is owned by an INEC official, who provided the election result figures. When asked to name the said INEC official, the witness said: “My lord, the INEC official is anonymous and I do not know him.”
Under cross-examination by the leader of Buhari’s legal team, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Njoka said the website was created on March 12, 2019. When reminded that the presidential election held on February 23 and the results released before March 12, the witness went blank.
The resounding collapse of Atiku’s INEC server may have knocked the bottom out of his case at the tribunal.
His other redeeming planks remain whether he has proven substantially election irregularities in the states.
It remains to be seen from 29 July, whether this is also not another illusion.

Small money, by football financial standards.
If the prize for the two semi-finalists is the same ($2million each for Tunisia and Nigeria ), what was the essence of playing for 3rd place?
I wonder o. We can conclude that the essence of playing the third place match is to make money for CAF. It should be scrapped in my opinion.
