Thanks a million! mimilyrics: You don't need to worry about cost. All you need is your COS from them - if you pass the interview and it's a job up for sponsorship, they'll process it and you should have it once they've concluded their checks. |

KenModi: It has been over 300 years these stories of rapture have been circulating all over the world. But you know what I think? I think they are just a bunch of lies told to scare people into believing in God and his son Jesus.
All religions are based on fear, fear of hell, fear of losing paradise, fear of not being saved on the day of rapture and all that gibberish.
Nothing after this. You die and you rot away. No proof life after death, not even reincarnation or your so-called heaven.
Know your history and understand how religion, in particular christianity, was used to rob your ancestors blind. Know your history and stop worship the white man’s god. You got it all wrong about Rapture! Rapture signifies Jesus Christ will come for His people (Those who have surrendered their lives and have accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour). Hebrews 9:27 (MSG) says, 'Everyone has to die once, then face the consequences'. When a man or woman dies, JESUS CHRIST has come for such individuals. The next thing is JUDGEMENT. Guess who will JUDGE? 2 Corinthians 5:10 (MSG) says: ' Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad.WHEN A MAN DIES JESUS CHRIST HAS COME FOR THAT INDIVIDUAL. I thessalonians 4:16-18 (MSG) says: The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God’s trumpet blast! He’ll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they’ll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master. Death is sure!!! Rapture is real!!! You believe it or not, it doesn't matter. One day you'll see yourself in HEAVEN OR HELL. No man born of a woman can escape. You said: It has been over 300 years these stories of rapture have been circulating all over the world.
Where are these people now that heard the rapture stories over 300 years ago? Don't let Satan deceive you. He deceived that generation in Noah's time. Despite Noah's warning of the coming destruction of the earth they believed in Satan's deception. At the end, they all perished! I pray you accept JESUS CHRIST TODAY NOT CHRISTIANITY. |

The information below may be of benefit to someone.
Good morning
Thank you for your email.
A deposit can be paid at any time but we can only issue a CAS up to 3 months before the start date of your course.
For the January 2021 intake, we will start issuing CAS in late October, exact date to be confirmed, but not before 26th of that month at the earliest. We will start asking students for their bank statements to be provided from about the second week of October onwards.
This is because any bank statement you use as financial evidence must be dated within 1 month of your subsequent visa application. This also gives us time to check the bank statements, which we need to do before we issue the CAS.
As an example, if your bank statement was dated 30 September (showing the money has been held for the previous 28 days), this statement could only be used for a visa application up to 30 October, not beyond that date.
There is no guarantee that we can issue CAS from 26 October so this does not give you much time to get everything ready to make your visa application by 30 October. It would perhaps be better to have a statement dated from the second week of October onwards as this gives time to make any amendments required and leaves a good amount of time for the statement to be used for visa application after the CAS is issued.
It is best to use the same bank statement for your CAS and your visa application. We check it meets the standards set by the United Kingdom Visa Immigration service (UKVI), who ultimately process your visa.
We have had students in the past who used different statements than those they originally sent to us and ended up with a visa refusal because they did not meet the requirements.
Obviously, everything depends on the ever changing response to the pandemic in the UK but hopefully things will be back to normal by then.
I printed my statement on 14th July Got my CAS on 24th July Submitted my visa application on 26th July. Got biometric date of 3rd September. Teesside University wrote on my CAS letter that i should apply with same statement within 31days from the day i printed it which i have done and uploaded. Since my biometric is on 3rd September, will i require to print another on my biometric day?
|

@Mimilyrics, your write-up about Canterbury is very interesting to read. And you almost succeeded in convincing me to go there Anyway, I am just thinking! Maybe add more of your detailed day-to-day activities (while schooling), with pictures of your former University, and a title, compiled into a diary (e-book) for International students coming to the university and neighbouring cities. Maybe for monetary or otherwise, because someone somewhere need this information and may pay for it. I don't know of any Google search (experience) that can give this. Well done! NB: Please this is just my opinion. Google 'Postdoc' take note. mimilyrics: Canterbury is a beautiful town and you'd love it if you're into picturesque landscapes. It's also a quiet place.
The study experience is cool. The teaching quality is high and it's very vigorous; you're expected to produce the highest quality work on your studies but once you get a good grip of your academic writing style and engage with your course, it's easier to do. You can also take part in the Aspire business workshop if you intend to start a business after your course with the school's support; a classmate got his Tier 1 visa through this . I took part in various programs on campus and volunteered on campus and it helped me settle quite well into my studies. You can log your volunteering activities on the Kent Union website and trade your points for internship experience to be undertaken after you finish your coursework for the session. You can also log your participation on the Global Skills Awareness program in order to trade it in for other rewards.
Students jobs are in constant supply. There's a club (club chemistry and it's sister club, Tokyo Tea rooms) in town that are constantly recruiting; no bartending or club work experience is required, they train newbies. They pay minimum wage which increases depending on how long you've been with them. You can also work on campus (Venue night club, school cleaning dept, the school food stores e.t.c) or off campus (stores on the high street, bars and more are constantly recruiting); the school jobs pay just the minimum wage, no extras. The job shop in school also constantly posts on and off- campus jobs on its site and its doors. Your best bet for work would be Club Chemistry if you don't mind working at night, they also have programs with music artistes and DJs, charity events e.t.c from time to time which will give you more than 20hours (in 2-3 days) when it's not term time. If you end up going there, go to Clib chemistry/Tokyo Team rooms and ask to speak to the manager or check their website for their contacts and send them a mail or call them.
Living expense is quite low if you don't go for the extras or on-campus accommodation. If you go for on-campus housing, you'd be placed in Woolf College (exclusively for PG students for Sept - Sept) or Tyler court (From Sept - July). *Accommodation ranges from 290 to around 500 for shared apartments. The house I lived in was fully finished with 5 bedrooms which ranged from £320 (single room) - £400 (double room) which included all bills. I lived close to the city centre so it was easier to shop and access buses to school.
* Food costs the same as across London, I spent around £ 20-30 on food monthly because I usually had like 5-8 bowls of soup/stew which sometimes lasted me 6 weeks (I usually got this each time I went home in London so I didn't pay for this). Major purchases like a 5kg bag of rice, yam flour, poundo e.t.c cost me about £20 for 2 months. There's also just one African store close to the city centre.
*Transportation is quite cheap. At the start of each session, Stagecoach has a 9-month Unirider ticket offer for travel within Kent and East Sussex at around £250. You just need to show your card + student ID when you board buses; cost applies if you're going outside the coverage areas. If you don't buy the Unirider ticket, each return trip will cost you around £3.50. If you have to go to Medway, you can register for the school's free bus there as the Unirider isn't valid in Medway; the bus will drop you at the Medway campus. |

@Cyberknight, thanks a lot. Cyberknight: Quite right at the bolded.
Not to take sides, but here's my own experience of Scotland:
My girlfriend at the time got her masters from RGU in Aberdeen (2006). I used to visit her from time to time. She did use to complain a lot about the attitude of the locals re racism and all that, saying that they were more close-minded than [obviously] down south. She eventually graduated and got a job in Edinburgh, said it was the same, but a bit better [I only visited thrice or so], then she relocated down to London to complete her Ph.D, saying that she was sick of Scotland.
My own experience of the locals (admittedly drawn from short visits) was that they seemed more distant and less friendly than I was generally experiencing in London and generally in Manchester. They usually [sometimes rudely] kept asking me to repeat things in shops and all that, something which I honestly rarely got in London, except sometimes when buying stuff from foreigners like the Poles, etc. In their defence, their own accent is also sometimes incomprehensible, but I always tried to make the effort to understand what they were saying, even though they didn't seem inclined to return the favour.
So yes, I would say things are friendlier south of the border. However, Aberdeen is a smallish place, and such cities tend to be insular.
And finally, this is an experience from more than 10 years ago. |

mamacajah: I did Supply Chain Management, so even though I had brief interaction with PM students, I can't really say much about it. From the Living in UK thread, you can actually get more information on this..so check out it here : https://www.nairaland.com/4158866/living-uk-life-uk-immigrant
Salford is close to Manchester, the only I knew then was that Manchester was a construction industry area and I was looking for an oil and gas industry area (for personal reasons).. so I really can't say much about it as I have never been there nor knows someone there.
Aberdeen is a nice place, not as busy as London. but it slowly coming up now after the oil price slump, which affected most businesses and jobs there. I still have friends there, so I get some information.
Sorry that I couldn't be of much help..hope you get what you are looking for. @Mamacajah many thanks. The information provided are very helpful. This has given me an insight to what I needed to buttress the information I had from Google. I appreciate your effort Ma. |

Skymoore1004: We are saying same thing. She only went to RGU and not Salford. She can only provide info about RGU from her first hand experience. Also you don’t know if she did project management? How is she supposed to analyse that information for you? Plus I am sure that a lot has changed since 2011 when she studied there.
Again, google is your best guide. Providing information only about RGU, would be fantastic! That is what I am asking her for! Now can you compare the information I will get from her (eyewitness account) to Google? I believe she can tell me what Google can't. I already know the information Google has. @Mamacajah please I need your personal opinion about RGU maybe Salford too thanks. |

Skymoore1004: How is she supposed to the know the bolded exactly? She didn’t study in Salford or perhaps project management.
Like someone said earlier, compare modules and know which one suits you better. Check their graduate employment rate. Read reviews on mastersportals.com. Check ranking for project management in both universities. Just research, no one can give you the accurate answer here. Mr.Skymoor1004. I have done all you mentioned above even more and have relevant informations. However, can you compare all these information I have gathered about RGU or Salford from google, to someone that once attended RGU, in person? I was only asking her because she has been there, live and direct not by google. All the same thanks for your reply. They're noted. |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by TuniLove: 2:32pm On May 10, 2020 |
mamacajah: Exactly! that's the advise I have been given by UK residents, always check the modules, to ensure that the school is offering what you are actually interested in. For example, I was told of a lady who had nursing admission in northumbria but wanted something more in the line of mental health, so she went to Edinburgh instead. You need to think of why am I choosing this school? why this course? which area would I like to do my research on? which field would I like to work in afterwards? Biomedical Science is a good field and in the UK shortage list, so I believe it is a good choice for people with the relevant qualifications.
When I was selecting my school back in 2011, I only knew of RGU (as a warri person..) so I settled for it. On retrospect, I should have gone to Warwick or Salford because of the businesses in that area. I don't regret attending RGU but I wish I had known then the importance of this comparison. I wouldn't have restricted myself to just one option. Thank you Ma for the above. What can you say about doing MSc Project Management @RGU OR SALFORD. Which of these schools (cities) has a good prospect for the course? Thanks a lot Ma. |

Greetings to Everyone in the House!
You guys are doing a great job.
I got admission/offers to study MSc Project
Management from the following schools:
RGU NTU MMU BCU SALFORD
I am okay with their respective tuition fees, course
contents and structures.
They're all accredited by APM and some by PMI.
However, where I need your advice, is the cities these
schools are located.
Which of these cities have a good job prospect after
graduation?
Low cost of living (including accommodation)?
Low crime rate?
Friendly to International students? and so on.
I would appreciate any other advice/ suggestions about
these cities.
Thanks. |
