Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Attention: Friends... by tunisbaba(m): 7:37pm On Dec 20, 2015 |
From my understanding of Human Resource Management, recruiter must have reviewed ur CV before calling you for interview and you must have put your qualification and grade on your CV.So this your question is somehow not comprehensive....or is this your question for gatecrashing purpose? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Versata Level 1 Support Job by tunisbaba(m): 8:33pm On Nov 29, 2015 |
kaycodes: Okay, to all the Versata hopefuls this one is for you.
As much as I would like to reply every email I get on my inbox as well as on Linkedin, i'd want to give a comprehensive overview here.
Whatever Information I omit, means I do not wish to share or have absolutely no Idea.
Who is Versata?
Visit this link to get that Info www.versata.com
What are they into?
Versata is an ERP software company with an impressive portfolio of business applications and programs.
Well you ask Google for the rest.
Basically, Versata recruits for 2 major positions that most Nigerians can fit into.
1. L1 Support Agent.
2. L2 Support Agent.
for full details of these roles, again consult Google.
Yeah I know lots of peeps will be expecting inside information, sorry I can not share that. Blame employee confidentiality or any other issue.
Well let me answer some questions I have received via email and on this forum.
Are they legit?
Yes they are, this is not a get rich quick scheme company, this is a company that created a model that has given an IT support professionals outside the US an opportunity to live their dreams. You know how crappy customer service is in Nigeria, at Versata we have an entirely different model that ensures that the customer is the number one focus. So yeah you need good IT skills or at least a very well written CV to scale the selection process.
At versata, a well defined process is behind what we do and how we work, this means that you are guided every step of the way with documents and guidelines for you to follow.
Okay to the recruitment process, all you have to do is submit a CV that details your IT skills, then you get taken through a set of interview and challenges. depending on the role applied for.
If you successfully complete this phase, then you are invited for another round of HR interview by crossover, where you get to speak with a recruiter directly and get evaluated. However at this stage, you can be hopeful of getting in, but be prepared, as everything is not set in stone.
Then you receive a Paid trial week offer from them. You will be paid for taking the trial week, whether you advance or not. During your trial week please do not try to cheat your way through in anyway. I didn't finish some questions, but I gave it my best.
Follow their process like your life depends on it, this is not time for Nigerian mentality and African man time. You will be working during US working hours, so get that into your schedule.
After your trial week, if you get an offer then congratulations, if not better luck next time.
Tips to getting through.
1. Your internet speed is very vital, ignore this at your own risk. You need a network that can offer you at least 2mbps minimum or please just stop the entire process.
2. Get a fast computer that can handle multiple browser tabs, invest in more RAM than processor.
3. Use either Chrome or firefox, internet explorer is not recommended by me.
4. During your trial week you will feel so alone, don't give up, it's all part of the test, the actual job is much more fun with colleagues from across the globe and some pretty smart folks with very impressive CV... my own dey learn for where dem dey.
Benefits
Yes they pay you every week, so you get what you work for. No work No pay, so every hour you're not working is money lost. and you cannot work beyond a certain limit... make you nor go finish their money.
Extensive exposure to whatever software you are assigned to, with time to train and get better on the job.
When registering for payment the very first time, please take the bank option even if you don't have a Dorm account the money will be paid into your savings account. I suggest you use a bank like GTB. Avoid the Payoneer card even if you already have one.
With the bank option you get to wait an extra day or two before the money can reflect in your account, but it's much better as you can get a good rate for your USD when you sell them.
Payoneer card gives you the added advantage of withdrawing your money as soon as it hits your account, but you will incur more fees and ATM will convert your cash at a lower rate. Fidelity converted at N186 to 1USD when dollar was 245 on the parrallel market
So again avoid that card when dealing with crossover, don't say I didnt warn you, if you like make long throat do you.
Please ask me any other question I'll follow the thread for a while before dropping off. and Yes, I created this thread and am glad some peeps got to the trial week stage, it finally made that monkey that commented in the first page look like an incompetent detective.
Finally this is not a get rich quick scheme, it's an actual job.
You can drop your questions here and I'll answer them as fast as I can.
N:B ==> Don't send me emails asking how you can pass the trial week, because I honestly DO NOT KNOW. Give it your best, like every process sometimes even the best miss out of the opportunities.
Have a lovely day. Thank you bro for this lovely tips. My question is must you be online from 1pm to 11pm throughout the trial week? |

santinoj: Isn't Satan the former angel Lucifer? Every passage that talks about Lucifer in the bible refers to him as 'he'. Doesn't that imply that he is or was masculine? That was because English language will always give gender to any being (human being or supernatural beeing)...No justification is any Abrahamic Religions texts that state categoritical that God, Angel and Ex-angel are either male or female |

Politics › Igbos That Might Renounce Biafra If It Eventually Seceded by tunisbaba(op): 7:02pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
I am not an Igbo man but i respect all ethnic groups in Nigeria. I respect their cultures and their believes. Pertaining to the issue of Igbos wanting to secede from Nigeria to form a sovereign state, i will say i am indifferent in the eventual outcome of their dreams but i believe united we stand and divided we fall. Now to the topic, it is not more news that one of the most populous tribe in Africa "The Ibo" has been agitating for a sovereign state before and after the Civil War but with my little knowledge about the 21st Century Nigerian people and how integrated to one another the Nigerian people are, i discovered that the Igbos are the most integrated people in Nigeria when it comes to leaving their homeland and traveling to another man's land to hustle and make it in life. I must confess that God always bless their hustle and their achievements are written boldly everywhere in Nigeria but excluding their homeland. Majority of their investment properties are located in Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna etc. and my greatest fear for them is that these properties are likely to be confiscated if Biafra eventually comes, and starting from scratch for people will be almost impossible and am not sure persons like Ifeanyi Ubah would want to leave his multi-billion dollar asset in Nigeria. Another side of my argument is that i have notice of recent especially where i live in Akure that Ibos are giving their children Yoruba names and if this trend continues for 100 years, it is likely that it will be very hard to trace most Ibo great grand children back to the east. Moreover, if you integrate vast investment of Ibos outside the east with the fact that ibos are now giving their children the name of the society they live, It can be concluded that most Ibos (especially the successful one outside the southeast) are likely to continue being Nigerians if Biafra eventually comes. This is my opinion. Let hear yours. No Insult Please. Thank you |
