This is a welcome development, i believe if students are allowed to register as low as 5 subjects, it would be easier to pass them as they would have to read lesser amount of subjects. |

The postponement were made because some schools are being used as centres 4 the ongoing Voters registration. They postponed the resumption date to enable a hitch-free conduct of the voters registration! |

Nairalane: @mystique, thanks girl. May u not fill d wrng option box. May your room nt be allocated in Angola. I seconded richcol on his abv advise. Let's be patient. Am afraid, the FEDERAL GOVT' ANNOUCEMENT MIGHT AFFECT ALL including Oau. Postponemnt of resumptn date. I.e, all schs ll resume beyond Feb. 4. Any1 to shed more light on this. I have said it before and i will say it again, the postponement affects only Fed primary and secondary school in the country, it does not affect any university in the country. |

Johnpaul88: Angola remains the best place for any part 1 male student seeking to live in hostel. I enjoyed every bit of my stay there. It is a proven fact that there is no better hall . Aside : I do not expect a problem at this early level with regard to registrations of biodata and certificate. They are kinda easy and straight forward. However, if u have difficulty deciphering what a particular requirement entails, drop it here. I will look up the answer in the one i submitted earlier in March, alright? While i was filling the certificate form, there was a column named delete tags, are we supposed to mark them. Also, at the bottom of the page, there was a column named clearance tag, are we supposed to mark that too?. In the bio-date form, i don't understand what i should fill under 'name of sponsor'. Also, under mode of entry; what should i write there?? Pls reply asap, thanks |

tee babs: I sincerely wonder why I have not seen no posts from admitted Law students. Does that mean that no Nairalander made the merit cut off for Law not that its surprising coz its the highest for all depts(275). No doubt, u all must have seen the many benefits attached to being a member of this site, most especially this thread.its provin to be a long thread though i doubt that it will compete with that of last year in terms of length which saw a record 80+ pages, many thanks to the timely and beneficial comments from the likes of muyeskin,johnpaul,oebos09 and many more altruistic dudes and chics(won't fail to count myself among)who sacrificed a lot by always keeping their ears to d ground so that info can be quickly accessed and passed to all and sundry. These dudes stood still the very end. M not surprised to see that sum of them are back to obviate wateva problems that might be experienced by the incoming guys.
M saying all these to emphasize the need for consistency on the part of everybody who has chosen to be a member of this thread whether admitted or not, don’t leave this thread because uv been admitted. u will be doing a lot of harm coz those that are not yet admitted need your support most especially @ this time coz they are abt to be subjected to the excruciating wait that is characteristic of OAU’s subsequent lists and for those that are worried that they've not seen their name yet, me thinks its to early to worry abt that coz admission stretches till the eve of matric(u still have 3 to 4 months to pray and hope).
For those havin difficulties with registration, patience is all u need. I’ll also advise that u try to purchase your cards on campus so that u don’t fall victim to fraudsters. If u wait till I get on campus, U’ll have more than enough time for your registration. I advise patience and caution not sloth. If u adopt a lackadaisical approach to your reg, u’l regret it. I carelessly neglected to register for my health centre quickly. When I was ready for it, the xray machine “mysteriously” developed that could not be repaired till the end of the session! Now I am compelled to pay an inordinate amount of N2500.00 before my registration can be completed otherwise I wont be treated even if I were @ the point of death.
If u need additional info, DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. M always willing to help. Started this with Johnpaul and the likes and I’m not ready to pull out now AND REMEMBER, ALWAYS KEEP your EARS TO THE GROUND COZ NO INFO IS TOO INCONSEQUENTIAL. Cheers!!! hi teebabs, it nice to meet u again! I followed the Oau admission thread for 2009/2010 session up until march, when u guys finally resumed. Though, at that time, i hadn't registered on Nairaland(i was still a guest); i found that thread very educative as i was planning to choose Oau in the forth coming jamb(which was conducted in april). Anywayz, its nice to meet u again! Talking about the lenght of this thread; it still comes to me as a suprise that this thread is in its 34th page! When i created this thread, i only intended to inform people that they can now check their admission status at the jamb website; i was expecting this thread to die in its 2nd or 3rd page. But it amazed me to see that people abandoned musyeskin's thread(which is purpotedly the official thread)- Oau admission for the year 2010/2011 and started pouring their posts on this one. I guess i unintentionally diverted people's attention from that thread, if not; i believe that thread would have been nearing its 70th page by now! I will encourage u, as a student of great ife to regularly provide us with reliable information, and also make positive contributions from time to time. Cheers! All hail great ife!!! |

I'm going to pay my acceptance fee today, at a skye bank branch here in Lagos(i'm not still sure if its payable in Lagos or maybe i would have to go to ife to pay it). For those asking for the account name and account nos, the bank would give u those details immediately u tell them u want to pay ur 'Oau Fees', so i don't think thats a problem. Note: do not pay acceptance fee, school fees and accommodation fees with the same teller. Pay the fees with seperate tellers, as u will be required to present them during registration. My only problem now is, when we pay the acceptance fee, how would Oau know that i've paid and how would they enable me proceed with my registration? |
