Johnpaul88: Guys i guess things have changed a bit, perhaps due to the lateness in determination of appropiate fees by the authorities, they were unable to make scratch cards like before, they were forced to resort to this new strategy. However, What i understood from that reg info, is dt when the eportal acknowledges your payment of any of the fees to any of the listed banks, it will grant u access to your page to do your registrations. This explains why they stressed that accurate student info, must be provided in the teller. It further shows that fresh students needs to pay the acceptance fee before they can proceed with any reg even bio-data reg, which initialy does not need fees. I guess they are much stricter now than ever. Concerning the local govt dept high fee stuff, all schools that offers that course, believes that the students who applies for it, are mostly sponsored by the govt to learn more about govt administrative strategies. Such that when demand exorbitant fees like this, they will be under the assumption that the govt can foot whatever bill they impose, not knowing that it is no longer the case with recent candidates. In UNN for example, they pay as high as N120,000. Local Government Studies dept, is a money making venture. Hi John, what password would we use to log in for reg? |

hopeyemmy: @tuns, much preference is given to govt than acct. being an accounting student of d school avails me d opportunity of knowin ds. @steve, geography is nt an option, except in d O level combination where geography might be taken 4 govt in d absence of d latter. thats why i said accounts or government, either is acceptable by Oau |

stevetboy9: @OP, It's better to check their website in order to know the correct combination. But generally, be sure of English, Maths, Economics. The third one can be Geography<that's what most ppl I know chose> and Government. Some MIGHT go for Commerce and Accounts but Geography is safer, according to JAMB's brochure. Geography?? Thats riducously not a good alternative. The best option remains accounts or government. Forget about commerce, cos Oau does not allow u to combine econs and comm; they treat it as a single subject. |

Dstv is only deceiving u guys, by bringing down the price of their decoder to 9k; they would infact collect 3 times that amount in the long run. |
TV/Movies › Re: Yoruba Movies Better Than All These Nigerian English Movies by Tunsbobo(m): 3:26pm On Jan 01, 2011 |
There is no doubt that Yoruba Movies are way better than most english movies. These days, u hardly see an english film without a part 2; the storylines are very shallow and easily predictable, poor directing and production are also some of the problems the Nigerian english movie industry is facing, they need to step up their game. Infact, yoruba movies swap all the awards even at Amaa. Did i hear someone say that all yoruba movies are spiritually inclined? That is a very wrong assumption! I've watched a lot of yoruba movies with sweet storylines and do not end with spiritual/supernatural interventions! Even Non-yoruba's have settled for yoruba movies, 'cos their so called english movies are infact an eyesore. I believe Yollywood has come to stay and rule the Nigerian Movie Industry! |
