For those asking, why oau hasn't officially released their admission list on their portal or on notice boards around the campus but submitted their merit list to jamb, i have an explaination.Remember that writing jamb exams is not the only means of gaining admission into oau, pre-degree is another means. The merit list for successful jamb candidates has been released and submitted, that is why you're able to check your admission status at jamb website-www.jamb.org.ng, but the full admission merit list would also include successful pre-degree students, but they have not written their final exams. Therefore, oau would officially release their full admission list for 2010/2011 session after the pre-degree final exams. For successful jamb candidates, the merit list is fully released and completed."Prepare for the registeration and payment of acceptance fees after pre-degree students write their final exams. If you checked your admission status at the jamb website and it says 'congratulations, you have been admitted', then there is no cause for alarm, you're already a student of great ife |
@ just fola.i'm sorry, but if you get below 200 in your post-jamb, no matter your aggregate oau would not consider you for the first list.Even the chances of making the second list is extremely slim.I would advice you to take other exams, and don't be scammed by any one who says he can work admission for you. |

Congratulations Firebomb i also look forward to seeing you at oau.@Mr alberth- Pls stay away from this thread, we're not fools.@dynaflex- congratulations!!!, i wish you many more glorious days ahead.@abiobic-Don't get me wrong, i only meant that your name cannot be on the merit list of oau since you didn't beat the cut-off, but that does not take away the fact that you could still get admission through prayers, proccessing and connections, Goodluck.@ all- For those who are waiting for the supplementary list, goodluck but don't expect a 100% automatic, you have to make an admission request and do some proccessing; above all keep on praying. For those who have made it into oau, lets rejoice and pray for others' success |
@abiobic- some colleges of education and polythecnics did not do post-jamb at all, so they based their admission list on jamb scores only. Therefore, you met the criteria for admission and got admitted by corona college of education; moreover oau cut-off for economics is 258, so if your aggregate isn't up to that, i don't think oau would shortlist your name for admission.@ slimgees- Congratulations!!! |

@ all- Thank you.For those who didn't get admission based on first list, don't worry there is still hope, your name should come out in the second list.A reliable source told me that oau would specially consider those who beat the cut-off but chose them as second choice in their supplementary list! Also, if you didn't meet the cut-off for your 1st choice course but beat the cut-off for your 2nd choice cut-off, you should be specially considered in the supplementary list, but you might be offered admission to study your 2nd choice course; if your name eventually comes out. |
I justed checked mine and i've been admitted to oau to study accounting, hurray!! |

@okaroabire, 'i don't think that is a serious problem, Since the cut-off for medicine is 264 and you chose oau as your 1st choice, it doesn't matter where you come from, oau should admit you based on merit.@faith92, which school did you choose as your 1st choice, why not try out admission there; moreover you don't need to be so scared, since you beat the cut-off for inter-rel, oau should admit you.A lot of people have assured us that once we beat the cut-off, oau would admit us, so keep your fingers crossed; Those that did not beat the cut-off due to three or four marks might find their names on the merit list, not to of beating the cut-off mark with 4, 7 or eight marks |

The cut-off for elect/elect is 310, i'm only joking.Elect/elect should be around 230-240, but if you get above 240, elect/elect is sure for you |
