IslamRe: Your New Year Resolution**last Friday** by tunshe(op): 9:01pm On Nov 01, 2013
Yasmeena: My new year resolution is to put my salat above any other thing, that is, saying them at their appropriate time and also creating ten minutes for Dhikr afta every salat, instead of hurrying away as usual. Regular Tahajjud also.
Nice one my sister!

You have very SMART goals.

It takes great discipline to sustain good deeds.

May Allah make it easy for us( ameen).
IslamRe: What Stops You From Wearing The Hijab? by tunshe: 8:56pm On Nov 01, 2013
Dear beautiful sisters in Islam,

Ponder on this;

An incident transpired when Muhammad Ali’s daughters arrived at his home wearing clothes that were quite revealing.

Here is the story as told by one of his daughters:

“When we finally arrived, the chauffeur escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my father’s suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day.

My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to.

Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.

Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.

Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You’ve got to work hard to get to them.”

He looked at me with serious eyes. “Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too.”

Siga: Someone sent this to me. They came across these fraudsters at the Ikorodu ... this is so sad... why do Nigerians do this to our own kind or anyone for that matter...

Please warn any gullible being out there... there is nothing like Canada visa lottery... Please be warned... of you need any info about Canada... visit

www.cic.gc.ca or any of the travel sections on Nairaland... dont fail for this please...
There is nothing like Visa LOTTERY on your pix.

I think they are wise enough not to put that but I sense the fact that they will prey on Gullible Nigerians.

Thanks for blowing the whistle.
IslamRe: Advice For Late Comers To Juma'ah Prayer by tunshe(op): 3:45pm On Nov 01, 2013
agoha_vivi: This is intresting. In other words theres no need for one to go to mosque once the imam appears for prayers since as at then the angels would have closed their register in order to listen to the imam.
Allah is the Most Merciful!!!

You have to attend a Luncheon and the first set of people to get to the venue before time will be rewarded with snacks and drinks before the main meal. Unfortunately, you had a delay and you missed the first batch, would you rather sit at home hungry or you join the consumption of main meal?
Just an analogy!

The Angels closing the register doesn't mean you will be denied the reward of observing the prayer but an indication that the late comers can't be compared to those who left all worldly affairs to attend Jumu'ah early enough.

The prayer is compulsory while promptness and Khutbah are highly recommended.

This is part of the beauty of Islam
IslamRe: Advice For Late Comers To Juma'ah Prayer by tunshe(op):
komek: I was so surprised this afternoon when pple were running up and down, I started running towards another direction until I saw many pple kneeling down and praying. I was like what were they doing befor now. And again, was it that they don't have specific time for their prayers? Probably when imam starts talking on microphone , that's when they are alerted. Now I understand the reason. They have promised them camel , Ram, goat, cow , fowl etc.

Buh I learnt something, xtians don't do that even when they are late to church, instead they will walk into the church anyhow and start dictating for USHERS where they want to sit. As soon as the USHER refuses their request, they run down to NL to open a thread ;' What is the terrible thing an Usher has done to you in ur church.' And u will see them blabbing. Xtianity is just a funny religion,
The people running to catch up with prayers are late but eager to perform their obligation to God.

They were not promised camel....(U got me laughing),but the reward of someone that sacrificed them for God (A reward for promptness).

In Islam actions are divided into good and evil, you get rewarded for good and sins for evil.

Promptness to prayer is a rewardeable act in Islam,Allah teaches us Time management.

IslamYour New Year Resolution**last Friday** by tunshe(op): 9:03am On Nov 01, 2013
Salaam alaykum,

As we come close to the end of the Year 1434A.H, today marks the Last Friday of the year.

Let's say Alhamdulilah for the gift of Life, sound health, sustenance et al.

It's time to write new goals, review our progress and refocus our energy towards living the best out of life while adhering to the tenets of Islam with hope to gain the Mercy of Allah(SWT).

One of my new year resolution is to stop lateness to Salaat and review this everyday before I sleep.

Can you share some of your new Year resolutions?
IslamAdvice For Late Comers To Juma'ah Prayer by tunshe(op): 11:54pm On Oct 31, 2013
Salaam alaykum,

Among the days, Friday is the best.

What makes you go for prayers late?

Work? Language of the khutbah? Play or idle talk? You feel sleepy? You think the two rakah is more important than Khutbah?

Consider the Hadith below;

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When it is a Friday, the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the mosque in succession according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they (i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba."
(Sahih Bukhari)

I hope you will be punctual today!

noblezone: The day Islamists forgets about the many wars of Mohammed, is the day they are no longer Islamists!
A true follower of Mohammed must wage wars, it can be:

Weapons War: like Mohammed himself did, Usman Dan Fodio over ran Northern, Al Qaeda is waging this war, the Taliban are faithful messengers of Allah, Boko Haram is waging this war. This war has no ending till the Messiah comes.

Political war: In this war, all infidels are subjected to second class citizens. there are some posts they will never be allowed to occupy. Government is run from the Islamic point of view. That is why you have Sharia in the North to intimidate and harass non Moslems. State funds are used to build mosques, churches are demolished, it is a crime to preach THE CHRIST, etc.

Economic War: Non moslems are denied access to the goods of the land, Moslems are preferred when it comes to jobs, shops and even occupations. Non moslems in the middle belt and core north can tell you more of this.
Busy right now, will get back to you.

Happy for him and his family.

My opinion;

It's high time Nigerians killed sentiments and realized that Political positions are not birth rights.

He can't resume back to the office until he has been tested physically, emotionally and psychologically fit to govern the state. Holding a mic or speaking for few minutes while sitting in a church isn't enough reason to introduce sympathy and jeopardize the future of the state and citizenry.

I'm also concerned about newbies not getting confused by those dumping impurities here.

I take your advice to ignore some haters though.

@Cashkid(419)

I'm not ashamed that Jihad is part of Islam just as Isreal,America, Russia, Korea..... have armies.

However, Jihad means struggle with interpretations. Jihad against your soul to do good and forbid evil, it's also a defense mechanism for the sanctity of the religion and not offensive to non believers of the Faith.

The verses you quoted, (some wrongly though) I mean d right ones were in context of the commandments of God to prevent the unbelievers from destroying Islam.

For example,if America said bomb and kill all Vietnams during the war in 1955 does that mean Americans should still continue to kill Vietnams wherever they find them in 2013?

This was a test as Allah helped the Muslims triumph over the enemies.
Do you know that during the holy war, you don't attack old ones, women, children, livestock, even trees! That's why we abhor and condemn spillage of innocent lives by the Boko haram.

Everything God created has an adaptive feature or defense mechanism to survive.

joleram: Islam would have been good if they can desist from:
1) Terrorism
2) Marry wives and marrying infancies
3) Speak the truth about other religion. because even when they read other people's holy book, what they see is the way to condemn
4) they criticise too much
5) they are not for peace at all. Or how many times have you seen xtians retalliating your horror jihad?
6) muslims are ful of religion and yet commit sin more than any other religion.
7) it is in islam that you will see white lies and red lies. It is there you will see that one lie is good while the other is not. But in others, lie is lie.
cool islam believes that heavens know who will be saved

wellmax: I hate it when any religious group claims to be the largest, or fastest growing. As much as the fact cannot be validated, does majority mean correctness? In religious matters, does majority carry the vote? This is why I agree with the Christian Bible when it says "wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it and narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.". So please we don't need the statistics.

pastor prosper :
1. Amputation of peoples limbs when they steal. I think thats very sweet.
2. Ocassional bombing of people specially when we don't agree with their views. That is very lovely.
3. We can marry children as young as 13. I think that is very kind of Islam. grin grin Allahamdullahi!
I would have ignored you like others but on a second thought I could help expose your shallow depth of reasoning.

1. The sharia law encourage cutting of the palm for thieves with proofs in an ideal Islamic state where everyone is well taken care of. The logic behind this is to serve as deterents for people and gives a culprit an opportunity to seek repentance from God.
Remember the ALUU 4 would still be alive now and their innocence would have been proven in an ideal Islamic state.

What does Christainity provide?
Bible says in Mark 9 verse 43 "if your hand causes you to sin,cut it off. its better to enter eternal life withonly one hand than go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands".
Your pastor wont tell you this exists in the bible.

Also check Mathew 5:30,Mathew 18:8,Mathew 5:29

2 and 3 has been dissected earlier by knowledgeable Nairalanders.

You are obviously feeling insecure.

I can feel your desperation to misrepresent Islam.

Polygamy is NOT a MUST in Islam but a provision to prevent Adultery and balance the society. There are also conditions attached to it.
Although some may abuse the privilege, the pure practice can be derived from Islam through knowledge.

lekanwj: REALITY - Islam is the only religion that explains the essence of living (To serve God Almighty). Other is to just accept some accessions and all will be well.

RELEVANCE - Islam has remained the same yesterday, today and don't see it changing tomorrow. Mode of praying has remained same and all passed down some 1,500 years are still being followed and relevant till date. Recent discoveries in science has been mentioned by the prophet and in the Qur'an some 1,500 years ago.

UNIVERSAL - All Muslims in respect race, nationality and color are same. Although there may be recent fractionalization along ethnic lines in the likes of Sunnis and the likes but praying ways , modes and positions remains same.

This is not about unemployment, it's about being paid to do the job.

This guy has tarnished the image of Islam with lies and was celebrated in so many Churches and on the internet.

I was in Jos sometime ago, someone printed and shared this useless purported confession of a Bokoharam member to so many people. That's how they increase hatred among the people of Jos because some people are feeding fat from religious crisis.

Just like precedence, anyone who specializes in tarnishing the image of Islam will be punished both in this world and hereafter.

A dead body is a carcass that must be speedily disposed off.
Islam understands this and makes no excuse for the rich and poor.
Thanks bro, don't know if you are a Muslim but you are on point.

I remember when a Saudi king died some years back, a catholic priest embraced Islam and when asked he said he was attracted to research Islam by the way the king was buried despite his wealth. Wish I could dig out that article.

Salaam alaykum,

3 things I love about Islam include;

1. Salaat; the fact that all Muslims pray same way and you can pray in any Mosque.

2. Fasting; the fact that all Muslims MUST fast in Ramadhan with few exceptions and you see all Muslims abide.

3. Quran ; A book that is free from interference, the style is unique, historic, a source of healing, filled with miracles and the fact that it's the only holy book that can be memorized word for word.

There are lots of beauty in Islam, can you please share yours?
