Information reaching me from a friend who knows someone at the ministry of Finance has said payment will be by month end.Meaning first week of September since that's when the month ends for Rivers State Government.That is two (2) straight holidays and sessions or terms without salaries.Na God be my witness,if I no take this job seriously,en no go vex.I have tried.Since we started this job,our payment has been epileptic like Nepa's power supply.

My brothers /sisters,after filling the incidence form that faithful day,remember we were asked to wait outside and our files were later brought outside and we were called in and captured?What do you think they were doing with the files if not updating of records?Did we not receive March salary?Where did they get our names and accnt no.s from?Heaven?I believe whatever nonsense that has happened so far is an error that should be blamed on the HANDLERS OF THE BIOMETRICS EXERCISE.If they did their jobs right,our names should have been included in our LGA and boards respectively,after d exercise.

people that did biometric in July has not been paid till date. The entire Gokana Lga ppsb and ube Rivers state has not been paid till date from march , 2016

I wasn't paid Feb salary and I bank with Union bank in Khana LGA.No payment till this minute.

Any day salary likes,it should come.If it likes,it should come running,crawling or creeping.All I know is that I must be paid to the last 1k.I have realised that anticipating this salary is the reason I have been falling ill.I no do again.So from now on,it's salary " sail on, till we meet again".Thank God say holidays don come.Make man go find hustle.

It beats me that people are still SENTIMENTALLY BLIND to what is happening in the state now. The score mark for any govt is satisfaction of its workers' first before any other 'eye service' venture. People have to be alive to enjoy any infrastructure now. Can the dead see? At least I remember that during Amaechi's tenure, my salary and arrears were coming regularly albeit a bit delayed by 1 or 2 wks. However, under this regime, the former was the case before judgement, after which if you manage the get your salary at all, you're indeed VERY LUCKY and for those of us whose arrears are still being owed, that is now in the hands of GOD. I pray God delivers us from this evil. Amen!!!

my friend lets not let our present predicaments make us talk without thinking or talk like we are ungrateful.This same Wike paid u ur three(3)months salary owed by Amaechi in one(1)week.Amaechi stopped paying just because allocation dropped from 25billion to 12bollionHow do u expect Wike to work with just four(4)billion.Pls b objective n sincere to urself.

By the way,I was informed that the major reason we have not been issued our CONFIRMATION LETTERS,is because once we have that,u can do ur transfer of service within n outside ur ministry n dey don't want that........Those with masters degrees definitely won't wonna continue teaching in these dead secondary schools,they would be aiming for the polytechnic n university of education.

Everyone who understands the civil service job knows that when a new govt is coming into power,a lot of ghost names are introduced by folks at d ministry before anyone notices......My ppl,salaries of workers in a state cannot just sky rocket,somebody somewhere must have added something to it.....This exercise must continue.I feel d pain of not being paid,but what has to be done must be done.Some ppl have started receiving a raise in their salaries since we became confirmed while others haven't.I can't be working,only for someone else to be receiving salary dey did nt work for.I hv been teaching biology in my school because I tot we had no Biology teacher,only for me to realise d idiot is some where cashing his money n giving d principal his cut while I work my ass out teaching more than one subject.#Dis exercise must continue.........

All those screaming "New Rivers Virus",pls go to the ministries n boards n c for urselves what little boys younger than u, are driving.We work in the field,they send supervisors to monitor our black asses, yet,they barely come to work,n they always have money no matter how broke the state is.How do u think this happens,by magic?Comrades,we gat colleagues who receive more than us,yet we do d same job n sometimes,we are more dedicated than them.It hurts that we have not been paid,but this exercise must be completed and all efforts to sabotage will fail....Thisrubbishmuststop#

Well, that's a good point you made but have you thought of the fact that the so-called Board isn't an autonomous/separate entity from the Rivers State Government? Would Wike pretend he's not aware of the salary logjam? Why is it that nobody has resigned for gross incompetence? Why hasn't somebody been fired for causing untold hardships on hapless workers? Why hasn't any official statement been released by the governor himself in relation to the wicked delay of salaries? If he's not part of the problem, why hasn't he addressed civil servants already? Well, I could ask plenty of whys. But I guess the answer lies exactly in the obvious fact that this is really what the "NEW Rivers vision" is all about, right? By the way, what is really new or ingenious about putting old wine in a new wineskin? Or can a leopard easily get rid of the spots on its skin? Indeed, old habits really do die hard. Even the much maligned Amaechi didn't treat us this bad. It's a shame how myopic we Rivers people are. It's a big shame!

Please,forget Wike n politics for this matter.U cannot drag Wike into this.Remember what the ministry tried to do during our recruitment process?That they were about hijacking the process,that led to the state house of assembly inviting the then commissioner of Education.This is their mess n they gotta clean it up.My only beef with d governor is the fact that he has not made any statement about the issue,just like it has always been whenever we re being owed like this.If money has been released and we are not paid,trust me,the governor has played his part.You are talking about the governor,what about NLC n TUC who deduct money from our salary ever now n then?Have they said anything?Pls,we should channel our grievances to the right quarters.....Is Wike responsible for some schools getting paid and others not getting paid last month?Do u really think this is a mistake or is someone trying to discredit the process to cover some ghost workers?Or is it cuz some nincompoop could not do his job competently?This guys at d board cannot be trusted or relied on for anything.

Instead of blaming the governor,u guys should rather blame the real ppl behind our misfortunes.Those worthless pieces of trash called administrators at the the schools board.All they know is supervision upon supervision.An ordinary personnel audit they were instructed to carry out has become so difficult or should I say impossible.Just go to the board n c d mess they ve made of the whole exercise.This shows that they don't know their job and all this while they hv been sitting in their offices doing nothing,that's if they come to work at all.The names are so scattered that it is almost impossible for someone to spot his/her name. All ministries have received except our's.....I don't think it has anything to do with the government spending our money on election.It's our ministry doing their job.It hurts,but in all,thank God for everything....Ghost workers make u work while they get paid for ur sweat...we should all fight...I teach biology in my school n geography as well....I get paid for the geography,while someone else gets paid for the biology

I was paid 61k as against 141k,and I had plans for that money this week.E hard for me o.I just pray de pay Dec salary or I won't find it easy.

I have applied and was giving half a million.Just go to the board in PH and ask for who issues letter of attestation or undertaken, to prove you are a staff of the board.

The Nigeria Labour Congress in the state was congratulating the Governor for the payment of December salary and Xmas bonus to all civil servants in the state, so your assertion is incorrect, there is no money in the state, it has been used for Buhari's campaign. More so, the Governor had lied.

my friend,do not be deceived.All unions in Rivers state that has to do with the Rivers state Civil service have been "bought".They all work together.Where was the NLC when we were owed Arrears for all his while? Did they ever make a statement? Pls don't let those liars decieve u.They belong together.
