GworoChewinMaga: The NIMC card which I have since collected has a MasterCard chip.
It is a very sophisticated piece of technology as the original intents by the last administration is to have the NIMC card replace all existing forms of identification (Voters card, passport ,Drivers licence, etc) and ATMs.
The NIMC card can not be duplicated like the way Jega did with his useless PVCs.
If the NIMC card was universally distributed the following would be obvious
1. The north's population lie. If you like import every Sahelian from Chad, Mali and Niger - they will not match the population of the south when combined with the existing northern population. NIMC database would have exposed this glaring truth. Southerners residing in the north who wish to register for NIMC are told openly to declare their state of origin as the northern state or refuse getting captured.
2. If the NIMC card replaces Voters card then electoral rigging, child voting and ballot stuffing will be a thing of the past. This reason is why the Buhari govt has since declared that the FG has no money to issue the permanent cards even though MasterCard is heavily subsidizing the exercise in Nigeria as they stand to gain in future when the cards are used as transaction mediums.
This is why Buhari killed NIMC So in summary the success of NIMC will not be beneficial to the north. Amazing! |

yourwish: Imagine banks are even rejecting the paper the gave me even with my NIN on it the refused Many people that wish to earn some money online are also being restricted because they have no valid ID. Most of the websites where you can make money online will not accept voters card or your printed 'ID' with NIN. These fools in government will not sort out their priorities. They will not create jobs and they will still put obstacles on the way that prevents people that want to create sources of income for themselves! |

The national ID card is one of the most important document a citizen should have, and it baffles me that the Nigerian government do not see it as a priority to ensure that everyone gets it in the most expedient way possible.
Can someone explain why it is taking so long to get a national ID card in Nigeria?
Have you received yours and how long did it take? |

Nigeria does not consist of just the heavenly area where you dwell, it also consist of the shithole where I dwell and the Plateau villages where Fulani herdsmen ransack frequently. So my good friend step outside your comfortable heaven and visit the rest of Nigeria, then come back with your feedback. Thanks |

Sad! And they will keep winning elections because they have the backing of the over populated north and the sympathy of the religiously sentimental in the south. |

I can bet it's only Nigerians that have to wait more than 4yrs after registering to get their national ID card, which is one of most important docucument a citizen should have.
And we hear they want to share $322M Abacha loot to less privileged, how are they going to determine who is who in a country that lacks proper citizen documentation?
I have three kids and I will make it my life mission to make sure they don't raise their families in Nigeria. |

I wish this write up could be read on the floor of NASS.
Sorry to say but this country needs a war to reset it. All the ingredients that makes a war can already be found in Nigeria.
THERE IS NO STRENGTH IN DIVERSITY.
Either we tell ourselves the truth and divide the country peacefully or we sit and wait for the war that will come. |

$322M dollars if appropriately used can cause a welcome change to Nigeria's economy and if spent foolishly can disappear and have zero impact.
To most of us, we think that sharing this Abacha loot to Nigerians is very foolish but let me tell you that this is a very smart move by APC government.
IT IS FREE CAMPAIGN MONEY!
None of us know who are the beneficiaries of this 'free money' distribution and we will never know.
In a country where getting a national ID card takes more than 5yrs ( I registered in 2013 and yet to receive), how do we measure the biometrics and sort out the privileged from the under privileged?
Sharing of the $322M dollars is another scam by the APC government and their intention is to divert this money into the 2019 campaign funds!
Wake up people! |

lebuhsi: the truth is PMB would win this election in a landslide, people making noise on social media are mostly south-south, southeast people who did not even vote for him in 2015, and are pretending they voted for him now. The southeast don't have enough registered voters to decide who win or who looses. he would win the north, the middlebelt and the west...na who remain to share opposition votes na en go remain I agree with you. Buhari is not more qualified than all those that will contest against him, but he has the backing of thieves with large pockets who will provide the money needed to manipulate the hungry masses to his favour once more. |

The real voters in those populated densely area can’t read your grammatical explosion This is why I say Nigeria will never pick the right leaders. Majority of Nigerians are poor, hungry, and ignorant. All you have to do to win elections is to use money and food to manipulate the ignorant majority and you win elections. The day we will get the right leaders is the day electorates' votes are weighted according to their educational qualifications. |
