INEC Denying Atiku Access To Election Materials Despite Court Order, Says PDP

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has said that he fought a good fight and will not relent for Nigeria and democracy.

Atiku’s comment is coming on the heels of the dismissal of his appeal at the Supreme Court.

The apex court had earlier on Wednesday, dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election of February 23, 2019.

Speaking on behalf of a 7-man panel, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad stated that members of the panel had read all the documents and exhibits filed in the case for about two weeks and discovered that the appeal was lacking in merit.

Reacting to the decision, Atiku said he must accept that the judicial route which he chose to take, as a Democrat, has come to a conclusion.

“While I believe that only God is infallible everywhere, and only Nigerians are infallible in our democracy, I must accept that the judicial route I chose to take, as a Democrat, has come to a conclusion.

“Whether justice was done, is left to the Nigerian people to decide. As a democrat, I fought a good fight for the Nigerian people. I will keep on fighting for Nigeria and for democracy, and also for justice.”

He stated that Nigeria as a country needs a strong judiciary and an impartial electoral umpire.

“In a democracy, you need a strong judiciary, a free press, and an impartial electoral umpire. Nigeria has none of those three elements as at today. One man, one woman, one youth, one vote, should be the only way to make gains in a democracy. And when that is thwarted, the clock starts to tick.

“The Nigerian judiciary, just like every estate of our realm, has been sabotaged and undermined by an overreaching and dictatorial cabal, who have undone almost all the democratic progress the Peoples Democratic Party and its administrations nurtured for sixteen years, up until 2015.”

Atiku insisted that he remains focused on Nigeria and he remains strong.

“To those who think they have broken my spirit, I am sorry to disappoint you. I am too focused on Nigeria to think about myself. I gave up that luxury twenty years ago. The question is not if I am broken. The question is if Nigeria is whole?

Ghanaian singer, Ms Forson has disclosed that she loves being beaten by her boyfriend as it increases her love for him.

Boko Haram elements are expected to launch a violent robbery operation in Owo town, Ondo State, multiple internal security sources have told SaharaReporters.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is from Owo in Owo Local Council Area of the state. There also planned to attack other places in the state.
A top security source stated that the terrorists needed to carry out the attacks to raise funds for their terrorist activities.

"The Boko Haram elements are currently somewhere between Kogi and Ondo. They have concluded plans to launch an armed robbery attack on Owo town on November 1or 2 2019. It's the state governor's local council area," the source told SaharaReporters.

"But there are other planned attacks," another source disclosed.
"We have gathered intelligence that these Boko Haram insurgents want to raise more money to execute their terrorist projects."

The source told SaharaReporters that some commercial banks in the state were the target.
"That's a fact: if they carried out the planned attacks, their focus would be the commercial banks and that's going to happen any moment from now," the security agent said.

Another source confirmed that certain roads in the state had been marked out for kidnapping too.
He said, "The Boko Haram insurgents planned to kidnap people, carjack along major routes like Owo-Benin axis, Isua Ikare, and Auga-Ayere roads."

It was not clear at the moment if the state government and the police were aware of the security threat and planned attacks.

Bacterial vaginosis
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) sounds like a big scary term, but it’s actually very common. In fact, BV is the most common cause of váginal odor, according to the Mayo Clinic.

What stress does to your body
Every vágina is filled with naturally occurring bacteria, and BV is simply an overgrowth of that bacteria. According to Mary M. Galenberg, M.D., OB-GYN for the Mayo Clinic, most women in their reproductive years will experience at least one case of BV. The cause is unknown, but unprotected s3x and frequent douching can put you at a higher risk. Other symptoms include itching, soreness and discharge.

Some cases of BV will go away on their own, but Planned Parenthood recommends that all women with BV symptoms visit their doctor for treatment to prevent rare but serious complications. Treatment for BV is usually as simple as a course of antibiotics.

Yeast infection
A yeast infection is also very common (and very uncomfortable!). They present much like BV, with the addition of a thick, white discharge. Symptoms of a yeast infection
Treatment for yeast infections has become very simple and can even be purchased over-the-counter. Most of these treatments tend to get messy, so it’s better to use them overnight.
Galenberg recommends you visit your doctor if you are experiencing these symptoms but have never been diagnosed with a yeast infection, as well as if treatment doesn’t resolve the symptoms or you get four or more infections in one year.

Séxually transmitted diseases
Some STDs can cause feminine odor, the most common being chlamydia and gonorrhea. Both diseases are common and easy to treat, but can cause serious complications if they go untreated. Unfortunately, both are also often undiagnosed because they may or may not produce symptoms. The most common symptoms of chlamydia and gonorrhea include painful urination and puss-like discharge, although an unpleasant odor is often present as well. See your doctor immediately if you are experiencing any of these symptoms and avoid risk by abstaining or using protection during séx.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) occurs when bacteria (usually séxually transmitted) travel through the vágina into the uterus. It is often a late-stage result of an undiagnosed STD, such as chlamydia. PID usually isn’t diagnosed until you experience chronic pain or have trouble getting pregnant because it often doesn’t have symptoms. If symptoms of PID do present, they may include pelvic pain, odor, heavy discharge, fever, fatigue, painful intárcourse or painful urination.
PID can often be treated with antibiotics, though it may leave behind scar tissue that has lasting effects. According to Galenberg, lasting effects might include chronic pain, infertility or ectopic pregnancies.

It’s possible that the cause for your feminine odor may be nothing more than poor hygiene. We’ve got a lot of complicated parts down there, and caring for them isn’t always easy. Make sure you’re covering all your bases to keep your lady parts fresh and clean.

First and foremost, make sure you’re washing thoroughly every day. Women have oil and sweat glands in the váginal area that, while completely natural, can cause odor if not attended to. Use mild, fragrance-free soaps, because anything else can upset that sensitive area and lead to even more troubles. Nigeria beats India, ranks 1st in world open defecation chart – Minister tiamin rice The Federal Government says Nigeria now ranks number one in the world with people practicing open defecation.

Suleiman Adamu, the Minister, Ministry of Water Resources disclosed this while declaring open a two-day Private Sector Forum on Sanitation, on Monday in Abuja.

The forum was organised by Organised Private Sector on Sanitation with the theme: “Coordinating Indigenous Private Sector Initiatives to End Open Defecation in Nigeria”.

It would be recalled that on October 2 India exited as the world number one with the highest number of people practising open defecation in the world.


According to Mr Adamu, Nigeria currently ranks at number one, in terms of the number of people practicing open defecation in Africa.


“Moreover, we are on the brink of being ranked first globally, as approximately 47 million people do not have access to sanitation services in its most basic form.

“Understandably, this is a serious concern to all of us as it has immense economic consequences and also hinders the social development of the country,” he said.



He said that the Sustainable Development Goal, SDG six is aimed at ensuring availability of WASH services as well as the sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030.

He said that the SDGs, Target 6.2 also focused on achieving access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and to end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations.

Adamu said that although the SDGs have stipulated these targets, they have also highlighted some hurdles that would require collaborative efforts to overcome them “which is our concern for the course of this workshop’’.

“Besides the exposure to diseases, there is a lack of dignity that is inherent in open defecation practices, particularly with regard to women and girls. As such, there is also a gender inequality issue which must be addressed with urgency.
