Engr Raimi Aminu Olayiwola, the commissioner for infrastructure, land, and housing in the administration of the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has resigned his appointment.
Engr Aminu’s resignation was conveyed in a letter addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, dated December 28.

The letter partly reads, “l write to tender my resignation of appointment as the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing with effect from today, 28th December, 2023.

“This decision is anchored on my conscience, as my leader and dear boss, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, joined the Saint Triumphant.

“I sincerely thank our dear Arakunrin and the good people of the State for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet as Senior Special Assistant on Lands & Infrastructure, Special Adviser on Lands, Works and Infrastructure and Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing.”

GRADUATION: UDUS Management Frowns at Sign-out, Warns Students Against Night Clubbing.

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University has under the leadership of Professor Lawal Suleiman Bilbis, has gone against some of the activities which the graduating students of the University have planned to execute on and outside the school campus.

This was contained in the circular released from the registrar's office today, Friday 6th August, 2021, and signed by the registrar, N. A Belko, warning all students to deviate from the forthcoming planned events on UDUS campus and beyond as they described it as trait that against the norms and regulations of the University.

The circular reads: This is to inform all students that information has reached the University Management that there is a plan by some students to first, organize a campus clubbing night and second, do a graduating sign out both within and outside the University.

“Students should note that the planned campus clubbing and signing out both within and outside the school University campus are hereby prohibited, therefore students should, in their own interest, desist from the act and remain law abiding.”
The school Management further stated that students are at the liberty to produce, in consultation with their Provost/Dean/HOD/HOU, photo album for their class, and also remember what their degree are awarded on.

"Finally, Students should remember that UDUS degree are awarded to only those found worthy in character and learning," it stated.

An Ogbomoso born popular Fuji musician, Ogbomoso born, Alhaji Wasiu Salawudeen Gbolagade Ayinde Popularly known as Wasiu Agara is dead.

The Ogbomoso born musician was said to have slumped and died a few minutes after observing Solatul Zuhr.

It was gathered that he was being rushed to the hospital when he gave up the ghost.


He was said to have performed yesterday at Koko spot in Ogbomoso.

The 54 years old musician is survived by two wives and children

He will be buried today at the Muslim cemetery in Ogbomoso.

Breaking: Fulani leaders apologise to Igangan people for the crimes of herdsmen
the current tension in the country, some Fulani leaders have apologised to the people of Iganga - Specifically, the begged the people for the crimes committed by some herdsmen in the area.

Meanwhile, the police has called on the people to allow peace reign, promising to investigate and bring the criminals to justice ,some Fulani leaders have apologised to the people of Iganga. The two are the Seriki Fulani of Igbo Ora, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, and the Seriki Fulani of Eruwa, Alhaji Sule Mohammed.
