Based off my previous threads, I finally decided to opt for a Samsung galaxy s9+ for 110k naira

I found a good deal on Konga, however I heard from sources I could never be able to get the brand new s9+ device in 2023, I contacted Konga and they said they don't sell refurbished or used items on their websites and I should expect my item to be brand new and sealed with complete accessories.

It's almost a week since I placed the order but the item is yet to reach my location.

By the way, it was shipped from Computer Village - is that a reason to be concerned that it might turn out to be a clone phone?

Should I believe I'm getting a brand new item from Konga?

Is the device worth it in this modern day and age over the more recent midrange?

Samsung was good but they are ALWAYS plagued by screen issue even without external factors involved. Been in the field and I have seen much more number of Samsung users coming to us for screen issues without any reason. One even happened in my presence.
For this reason, I will say you shouldn't go for Samsung.

Redmi Note 12 on the other hand was good but Note 12 is on the average side comparing with Samsung phones you mentioned.

Depending on what you do with the phone will determine how good it will work for you.

If it is me, I will go for UK used devices such as OnePlus, Mi-series or Huawei.

But choosing UK used requires a trusted seller. And make sure phones don't fall from you easily. If it does, then you are advised to use iPhone or good Tecno/infinix phones

I am now considering the s9+ (2018 phone) which is going for around 118k on Jumia, I don't know if it's brand new, do you recommend getting the phone, changing the battery and equally getting a 20,000 mAH powerbank?

I'm just a regular phone user, but about heading to school so I need a new smartphone that is excellent. Please note that I'm constrained to a budget.

Option 1:
Samsung galaxy S10 refurbished (160k) and Oraimo freepods pro (42k) = 202k

Option 2:
Xiaomi redmi note 12 brand new (131k) and Xiaomi redmi buds 4 (30k) = 161k

Option 3:

I was in this same dilemma last week .

I went for the s20 and never looked back. Although I got mine (brand new, open box 12/128gb) at a price a lesser than yours.

Please go for the s20, you won't regret it.

I think the only place the Redmi note 12 outs the s20 is the battery life. That doesn't mean that of the s20 is poor though. A full charge in the morning takes me the whole day. Ever since I got my phone, I average 6hrs+ of normal daily use. My friend who uses the Redmi note 12 definitely gets a tad more.

But that's just about it. In everyother area it lags behind the s20. Performance, sound output, camera, and oh the display! This display is a joy to behold.

Plus, it's 6.2inches and still very portable on hands. Not really a fan of chunky devices, hence was also a deal breaker for me.

Go for the S20 bro, so long as you're getting it brand new. My 2 cents.

But the phone won't get further android and Samsung updates. Is that something to worry about?

As it is now I have just NECO result and none for WASSCE.

So if that'll affect me someday I was pondering sitting for the WAEC GCE - probably if I were to be offered employment abroad in any country then would my NECO certificate be eligible?

339.6 is my calculated UNN aggregate and I am an Abia state Indigene

However I'll need to do change of institution

Please advice me, is it worth attempting to get into UI? Or should I apply to UNN? What about the kidnappings and insecurity in the east please factor this in as you drop your suggestions.
