chrisagyei: That's the thing. As much as you have the capacity to pay your loans, you can borrow even far more than your GDP figures. GDP is just an estimated imaginative figure.Your annual revenue is the visible money you feel and get that determines your ability to service your debts which should not also affect your expenses on national infrastructure, recurring expenses and national development.Anyone can cook up or hype GDP figures but you can't fake your revenues and generations.Kenya is on the right track. Most developed countries have debts bigger than their GDP including Japan and USA. Ghana will continue to borrow until we max out,we will return to the IMF for prudent economic management and increase our credit credibility then we will resume back to excessive borrowing till we really close our infrastructure deficit which is 10 billion dollars annually. This year,we are spending 2 billion dollars on just road projects building over 6 interchanges, thousands of kilometres tarred roads and highways nationwide. We are working on a century bond of i think 50 billion dollars. After everything,we will sit down and relax and watch the infrastructure development pay for it's self. Then we will say we're a developed nation. This national plan will be achieved in the next 20-50 years. Nigerians on this thread refuse to think Kenya borrows to build infrastructure Ghana borrows to build infrastructure Nigeria borrows to pay civil servants salaries And as we have told them it is revenues that pay debts not GDP Kenya revenue collection is good Nigeria revenue collection is mediocre They budget is heartbreaking for a country of 200million people |

The latest CBK weekly report shows that Kenya borrowed on average Sh129.5 billion per month in the last three months of the 2018/2019 fiscal year, indicating a rush to close the budget deficit that stood at Sh635 billion for the year. The outstanding stock of external debt hit Sh3.02 trillion by the end of June, while domestic debt stood at Sh2.79 trillion. This was an increase of Sh488.4 billion compared to March 2019, and Sh770 billion compared to the debt levels in June 2018. Public debt has expanded by an average of Sh680 billion annually in the past five years. And so what We are paying our debts we have not defaulted on any |

68816419: Fool, tackle ur debts first, In 2019, Kenya debt had risen to an absolute amount of US$50 Billion against a GDP of US$98 Billion. This makes public debt level stand at 51% of GDP as of 2019. Nigeria's Government debt accounted for 16.1 % of the country's Nominal GDP in Dec 2018, compared with the ratio of 16.2 % in the previous year. Nigeria's government debt to GDP ratio data is updated yearly, available from Dec 1981 to Dec 2018. Meaning the debts are been properly serviced. Madafacker why are you abusing me If you can't counter what i say don't quote me you b.itch And about debt it is revenues that pay debt not GDP Your budget is too minuscule to pay any debt |

Acadavah: I am not jealous but that is the truth. If price of Tea and flower went down, your economy will be hit hard. Much of your foreign currency come from Tea, flowers and Tourism. No we will not be hit hard Our financial and service sector are still dynamic Our retail sector is also pretty dope Our tourism sector was hit hard by the terrorist attacks some few years back , our economy didn't collapse , we never went into recession our economy continued growing Be the best with what you have Kenya is not rich in mineral resources like Tanzania Kenya doesn't have huge arable land like Tanzania 89% of Kenya's landmass is arid So we maximized the small that we had and that is tea kenya is the largest tea exporter in the world We are among the largest exporters of flowers in the world And very soon we will be among the largest exporters of avocados |

chrisagyei: what I know is according to videos on YouTube and people's experience,Kenya and Nairobi especially is far developed than any city in Ghana including Accra. About quality of life,Ghana looks very good on paper and good in actual living. We have implemented national policies that benefits the masses such as universal free basic health, free compulsive education from basic to secondary education, national youth employment schemes that employs and trains millions of our youth, massive infrastructure development, there's national access to basic infrastructure such as uninterrupted power supply, various treated pipe borne water installation,in fact our poverty rate is about 21% which is one of the lowest in the continent, etc etc just as any progressive sub Sahara African nations such as Kenya,Tanzania, Botswana,Rwanda, Namibia and others keep experiencing but we are somehow a little lower population of about 30 million people with very large different natural resources but as you said little value is added to these natural resources for exportation. All the same Kenya and Tanzania is huge and progressive so they definitely have bigger infrastructure and projects and since there is little natural resources to export, they mainly concentrate on local generation revenues such as massive service industry and tourism. Nigeria never impresses me when it comes to anything positive since they're over reliance on oil thus give very little concern to internal and external avenues that takes in huge revenue and possibly reduce youth unemployment.East Africa is doing impressive on that angle especially Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia Ghana has a better social services than most African countries including Kenya And that is where ghana beats kenya the Ghanaian govt knows how to take care of its citizens than the Kenyan govt Iam glad the Kenyan govt is implementing the universal healthcare program which i believe ghana has it already in place Ghana is also blessed abundantly with natural resources unlike kenya and ghana is more peaceful than kenya |

Kenyans has been bragging here of diversified economy but in reality is just Tea and flowers. Yeah it is tea , flowers , avocado , milk etc and that is agriculture What about finance and banking sector Retail sector Manufacturing You are just a jealous tanzanian |
