If you assume that it's over, she will tell you she never said so. If you hang on, she will continue to frustrate you.

That's why I like myself. I don't have time to rationalize nonsense. I give ultimatum. If it takes a girl more than 72 hours to make up her mind and explain this rubbish, she is not worth it.

Somewhere in the world two people might like one another and want to be with one another irrespective of age and what others think. You can wish it away but NEWSFLASH: it freaking happens!!

To be with whomever we want irrespective of the views of others might appear politically correct but the premise is shaky because humans are essentially communual. Our lives are shared. This is the basis of culture. You cannot do just about anything you like without considering those around you; especially if someone (a parent) still assumes responsibility for you.

Dating his elder sister's friend will strain the relationship between his sister and her friend. Will he knowingly dismiss the views of his sister and deliberately bring her discomfort every time she sees them together?

You said situations like this happen. Yes they do. However that does not endorse the act as acceptable. Will an action be deemed justifiable just because someone has done it before?

Bro stop trying to rationalize this situation. The foundation of the relationship is terrible. She wouldn't dare tell her friend that she's interested in the little brother.

The guy is clearly uncomfortable with the idea. If he considers her at all, it would be for casual sex. Nothing more. She will not be welcome in his home. Is that a meaningful relationship?
