Akpabio refused to renovate the Eket Stadium but instead went ahead to build a brand new stadium where he'll siphone enough and to spare. Eket Stadium has neen there siiiiiiiince alongside Uyo and Ikot Ekpene Stadia. This man is doing what ought to have been done! |
Newboss:That car isn't meant for Nigerian roads and doesn't defy safety regulations on most countries. So? Have you heard of the Tramontana? |
This Lamborghini is clearly designed to intimidate other road users. You are driving home from work on scantily traveled, dimly lit road at night and suddenly you look up into the interior rear view mirror of your car and you see this beast silently following you. The car's front view is simply a message: I'M GONNA EAT YOUR CAR!!! You start sweating and your car is shaking and swerving on a dry road. ![]() |
For the first time that Nasir Rl-Rufai has earned praise from me. The basic education level of education in all states of the Federation need a complete overhaul in personnel and human resources management, salary structure and consistency, standard of education and curriculum, and physical assets management for improved service delivery and proper investments in future of the state. Akwa Ibom State governor Udom should come and see the responsibility shown by his counterpart in tackling decay in the educational sector instead of helping to further destroy it with his useless politicking and nonpartisan approach to crucial issues in education! #signingout |
So I had a conversation with an Airtel NG customer care agent about unauthorized deductions on my account since that has been a recurring event with the company. The agent just told me there was a WAS** (didn't catch the rest of the crap name she called out to me) service active on my phone and that's the reason for the deductions. I told her I never subscribed for the service. All she did was ask me whether she should deactivate the service on my line. Meanwhile there's been no message sent to me to indicate the reasons for the deductions or to even acknowledge such deductions were made. So when I decided to investigate further, she just thanked me for using Airtel and hung up. These are my observations thus far: (1) Nigeria is too big a nation with a largest market for multinational Telecom companies to play chicken with its customers who make up it's profit base. But in Nigeria, the customers are treated like shit by these errant companies and the customer care agents that work for them. These Telcos ought to have been put in their place by the NCC but the greed and selfish interests of some working at the NCC has made it nearly impossible to properly check the activities of these Telcos and punish those who engage in commercial malpractice. (2) These Telcos are stealing from us and have been doing so sometime now and there's been little to no effort to curb this practice. Reasons include the NCC not properly sensitizing the consumers on their Rights protection and/or taking previous reports seriously, consumers not standing up for themselves and forcing these Telcos to give us a better deal (a people that have been enslaved for so long by their own government will hardly complain about smaller abuses by other masters, right?) and as such these Telcos now feel they are doing is a favour by providing their services when it's actually the other way around, complicity of government regulatory agencies either through negligence (incompetence) or selfish greed (corruption) which emboldens these Telcos to do as they please. We see similar instances in the Petroleum industry too. I think it's high time we put them in their proper place. We have to do something about these inhumane and disrespectful treatments meted out on us by these Telcos. Imagine a customer care agent hanging up on me after just 112 seconds of interaction simply because I asked to know why my money is being taken away from me without proper notification or for good reason? Nigerians, very soon banks and other corporate bodies will join this bandwagon of corporate rascality that the PetCos and Telcos are already on. Why is it that Human Rights protection and punishment of violations is not taken seriously in this country? Are cursed, never grow as a nation for real? TUFIAKWA!!! Open your eyes and let's join hands to protect ourselves from corporate exploitation. I rest my case! |
Let's move a public campaign in support of TSTV. Let's break the stranglehold that DSTV has on the cable space on Nigeria. We cannot fold our hands and allow what happened to Econet wireless repeat itself. As usual, the corrupt vultures of NBC will try to frustrate efforts put forth by representatives of TSTV to open a rival cable channel to put up competitive pricing in the cable network. Use your facebook, twitter, instagram and call out DSTV. Attack them publicly so that they back down.. . |
Why are Nigerians always crying at the wrong altar? Fine. You've alerted us to the slight done to you by Okorocha and his goons of darkness. Now take the next step. Contract a lawyer and sue his ass off as well as that of the Imo State government. If there was no written notice, and the time lapse for such was not exceeded and due compensation was not paid, sue his over-burnt hide like some overoasted BBQ.. . |
This thread is false. No Yoruba community stepped out to welcome anyone. It's a sick little joke where an old picture of a tradition-styled event is used to represent another thing entirely. Fear Social Media!!! |
The services provided by teachers, fitness trainers, customer service agents, astronauts and trash collectors can be effectively and efficiently performed by robots driven by specialized artificial intelligence and other digital intelligence programs |
And that is how one idiotic organization said that Nigerians are one of the happiest people on earth based on their statistical analysis. Only ignorant morons put faith is such beer parlour convo fails such as this. One of two couples is hiv-positive? Really. I worked with an NGO dealing HIV treatment in Akwa Ibom and guess what? HIV estimates are not as high as circulated in media. It's just a ploy to keep extracting millions of dollars from USAID and it's affiliated organizations. |
Dashboard concept copied from MERCEDES. MERCEDES E300 to be exact. Mercedes... King of the Auto World |
Look at the corner of the girl's eyes in that traditional wedding video. She's smiling but it's a very typical fake smile practiced by entertainment figures and celebrities. Even on her wedding day she still fakes a smile. I pity Folarin Alakija. Her parents are more honest in their facial expressions. I hope he signed a close-knit, legally "waterlogged" pre-nup. And he better keep very close watch on his daughter with that lady around. |
Negligence or complacency or oversight? Whatever might be the case, the pressure to succeed most football fans exert on these players drives them to the ground. They are human and have fears, hopes, disappointments and joys. Enjoy the game and check the passion. This is sad. He might have had a heart condition which he knew but forged ahead anyways, maybe it wasn't detected. Well, condolence to his family. They will miss him the most. |
Op, to impeach also means to remove a public office holder from office for some form of dismeanor, felony or treason. Check well o! |
Am I the only one seeing the covfefe to be an abbreviation for the later part of his tweet that obscured the real meaning of that tweet? I don't think it was a typo either. While we laughing this off, he's already put his message across, though a significant minority within the White House and his other associates would decode that. Those Americans need to ask their POTUS what he meant by that... Just saying! |
Another avenue for open corruption... More pity for Nigeria |
Op, the White House, Buckingham Palace and the US Department of State are the largest decision-making organ for the Nigerian government until further notice. Be corrected! |
MrEgbegbe:You are not enlightened on current trends in Nigeria. Few weeks ago, innocent responsible citizens of this zoo called Nigeria were publicly harassed, some subjected to violent treatment by so-called anti-cultism task force in different parts of Akwa Ibom. Why, you may ask? Keeping bushy/afro hair and tattoos. |
Tyviv:Remember these words: Nigeria will never know peace until the day the son of a nobody becomes somebody without knowing anybody. |
This is why I like Mercedes. Very thorough and proactive. Unlike Toyota that needed a whistle blower to give them a kick in the nuts before they did the needful. Still my my four-legged best friend @MERCEDES |
willbayo:Your idiocy knows no bounds. You must be one of them greedy guiders |
It's shameful seeing fellow Nigerians begging the government that they helped install for their basic rights and pathetically whining with fear when they ought to match on State House and demand these. We were roaring and threatening thunder when GEJ was in office but became toothless despite the hardship we've put through by this cluelessly-bedeviled Buhari-led government. Have we all resigned, putting our fate in the hands of the Cabal holding this country to ransom and begging for whatever drop of mercy they might have left? Or do we rise up in 2017 n demand a more transported, realistic, people-oriented and economically feasible budget free of government excesses and wastage n demand results from the government with a deep-seated promise to fight the government or even overthrow it if things don't change positively? |
Shebi now, gov'ment, FRSC, Department of Public Prosecution dy watch. No action taken. Truck drivers for top companies are so loose with no sense of accountability. The companies need to start facing the music so that they would in turn hold their drivers to account. Check out how Mobil Producing Nigeria bus drivers comport themselves with professional dignity on roads. The company holds them to account. But after my whining, lemme not just deceive myself coz dz z 9ja - anything goes! |
Khd95:How the Syria conflict take be Obama or Hillary wahala? Didn't Obama try to broker peace early on when the conflict started? When Bashir Al-Assad killed innocent unarmed protesters, where you blind? When the people demanded he step down for a true democracy to be born and he responded with military might, were you deaf? When he rebuffed Obama's peace effort because he had the support of Putin and Iran, were you mentally challenged? When Russia and Iran gave full military assistance to Syrian government, thus complicating the UN-US Peace effort, where were you? All the humanitarian crisis, war crimes, destruction, na Hillary or Obama cause am? Where you blind when the US refused the rebels' plea to send heavy artillery and troops to help them in the conflict just as Iran and Russia did for Al-Assad, thus preventing any form of escalation? May you receive sense indeed! |
I am in no way in support of radical extremist behaviour as I believe in a dialogue-first approach in conflict resolution. But when Russia got intentionally entangled in the political affairs and conflicts of the unstable Syria, it is as if the government was begging to become a target for extremists. It is unfortunate that victims of these violent extremist attacks will be the innocent Russians who were probably against the pro-Syria military policy of Vladimir Putin, and not Putin himself along with members of his Security council. The level of human right abuses and war crimes committed by Russia in Aleppo is so damning that it bothers me why the UN have not taken significant action against Russia. As you lay your bed, so you will lie on it. They started in Ukraine. Now Syria. All former Soviet Nations sharing boundaries with Russia are on high military alert. NATO is beefing up its regional military capabilities. All this because of one power-drunk man, Putin. He's using Syria as testing ground for new military strategies and artilleries. His aggressive stance will put his country in serious trouble... |
Anyone who dines with Amaechi is not trustworthy. But the man get small courage like GEJ to concede. Good record there. FTC... |
I smell a nose job on that chick. Who pointed, tipped nose don find 4 Africa? |
I smell a nose job on that cheek. Who pointed, tipped nose don find 4 Africa? |
These ladies should stand their ground and demand their full entitlements o. Collect the money paid and keep it safe while standing your ground. This is not a labour union vs government scenario. It's employee vs employer first case. Are government officials paid in bits? Why would a responsible government let their remuneration pile up over time? Fight for your right. Unzombified, sensible Nigerians are behind you all. You are not slaves, you are bonafide responsible citizens of this country who worked and must be paid. Was it not in this recession that The President increased his food allowance? The senseless Nigerians who berate these honorable ladies are very irresponsible. |
honourhim:Is freedom of speech and expression and access to the internet to use as one deems fit a right or a privilege? You need help. Seriously! It's people like you that vote bad people into government... |
They claim that increased taxation will generate funds for government to fight recession. They steal 50 Naira from every 1000 Naira any honest, hardworking Nigeria receives in his/her bank account, increase tariff for the epileptic, almost non-existent electricity, propose hidden extra call charges. For how long will we remain silent while this government steals from us and ravage our lives? Why don't they make cuts in their spending? Why not review monies given to ex-presidents and heads of state, senators, ex-governors etc? Why should the under-paid poor masses pay for the reckless, corrupt ways of the thieves and crooks called politicians and other government agents? Why do we keep quiet and pray for thunder to strike this imbeciles while we forget that the power they have actually is non-existent without the masses behind them and as such can be taken away by the masses? Why do we keep waiting for 2019 when they will bring out anoda crook just like them to lead the country? The masses can topple any government they feel doesn't serve their common interests anymore. Maybe we have a short memory and a high threshold for pain coupled with the fact that they have continued to indirectly champion the ignorance of the masses through crippling and soiling our educational foundations and news media and social institutions. Buhari wouldn't last a year in South Africa as president. Maybe it's because the fight for Nigeria's independence did not really stem from the masses and hardly did the Nigerian masses bleed for it that is why we do not value the importance of our choices. Until when we reach that tipping point when we'd say "Enough is enough", which I hardly see coming any time soon given the deep-seated level of corruption in the country, I am just watching and hustling. |
Some people can spread rumour quicker than wild fire and some other people are gullible and ignorant enough to gulp everything the read or see on social media. See the accused man's reply Toyin Aimakhu’s ex, Seun Egbegbe who was reported to have stolen ten iPhones at a shop at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State has debunked the story saying he was never arrested for stealing. Seun Egbegbe in a satement on Wednesday said the story of him stealing ten iPhones was ‘pretty laughable and better left in the court of public opinion’. Seun Egbegbe debunking the Tuesday’s story that went viral said, “The story is pretty laughable and better left in the court of public opinion. ‘Ordinarily, I do not want to join issues with the writer of the publication but I have a responsibility to set the records straight for my fans, friends and foes, in the defence of the truth. “To say the least, the news did not only grossly misinform unsuspecting public; it also portrays traces of campaign of calumny by some mercenary hirelings hell bent in destroying my name, for reasons best known to them.” Could this be another movie stunt? “I want to state here categorically and emphatically that though I was at Computer Village to address some issues, I was never arrested for stealing 10 iphone 7s, as stated by the writer of the story, the matter has since been resolved by the Nigeria Police; and the issue of me stealing phone is devilish from the said writer.” “It is germane to note that I am a charitable, humane, and grass root person, who has exhibited selflessness in communal service, which have used as a veritable tool for social development,” he said. “Finally, I wish to inform the general public to discard the report. I am presently at home relaxing.” Seun Egbegbe concluded. |
