teewao94: plz i'm aiming 4 computer eng. in oau. plz is it compulsory 4 me 2 av further math in my o level result? cos i av a1 in general maths. pls i nid help
In the Jamb 2012 brochure, computer engineering is the only engineering Course that has further mathematics listed as one of the O' level requirements in OAU. Jamb brochure is the most authoritative source of info concerning subject combinations for both UTME & O' level. Jamb usually contacts all the universities before producing the brochure. They may not have used Further maths last year, but since it is in the Brochure, it is best to assume that they will require it. If you do not have it, go and take NECO so that you add further maths or change your course to another department in the faculty of Engineering. You could switch over to computer Engineering after your 1st year (make enquiries from any OAU engineering students as to the possibility of that). But if you decide do nothing, you may be offered admission into Computer Engineering (your name may even be the 1st in the merit list) but when its time for clearance, you will be unable to study computer Engineering. If they are kind, they may offer you another course. Your admission is too important to hinge on chance. Best to take action.

Great Ifites and Ifites to be, I've a big confusion about this coming post ume. I hear that OAU uses negative marking in their post ume. Please guys who have taken the exams before, we need you to clarify ur on that. There is something I believe about exams: If the system of marking an exam is known, any student who has prepared well and written an exam should be able to predict to a good extent what he should score. If one scores something too far below or above what he expects, then there must be other marking criteria he does not know about. So please enlighten us from past experiences. By what range did your scores exceed or fall below expectation? Can you see any other good explaination apart from negative marking? (wrong shading etc) This is really important because knowing how an exam is marked helps you know how to prepare and how to approach the exams.Great Ifites and Ifites to be, I've a big confusion about this coming post ume. Hello Nairalanders, I urgently need free e-books on Microsoft office 2003. I would prefer one that contains all the applications, but if you have very good ones on Ms word, Ms Excel or Ms Powerpoint, please send them to my email: deeudeec@rocketmail.com. You could also post links to where I can download them.

Any help would be very well appreciated.

EducationRe: Is Your JAMB 2012/2013 Score What You Expected? by uceee(m): 12:44pm On Apr 01, 2012
Seriously, Jamb did not mark the scripts this year. They just shared scores to people. Just watch the trend: The maximum range (difference between highest and lowest scores in the subjects you took) for the results is 10. Then most people have the same scores in two subjects. Is that realistic? Mind you, I work in a cyber cafe, so I have seen a lot of results.

Hello guys, I haven't been able to browse on my Mtn modem for the last two days. Each time I type in a website, the web address changes to Bleep.yyy.zz and the browser (google chrome) says can't find the server at Bleep.yyy.zz. I can browse on my phone though. I don't use any proxy or stuff like that. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Can someone help?

. The only difference is that you'll have more data to use (which is good). It will be just as fast as your former bundle (na the same network now).
Phone/Internet MarketRe: Mtn Introduces New Internet Data Bundles by uceee(op): 12:30pm On Oct 24, 2011
Guys, I remember when mtn had only one affordable data plan: 50mb 1 day plan @500. Now they have up to 8 for customers to choose from. The network still leaves much to be desired in terms of stability and product pricing, but I believe they're getting there. There are a lot of browsing plans from various networks now, so everyone has a lot to choose from. Personally, I use Mtn because I am 90% sure the network will be available wherever I travell to. Its a free market, so use whatever works for you.
Phone/Internet MarketMtn Introduces New Internet Data Bundles by uceee(op): 12:59pm On Oct 17, 2011
MTN, the leading mobile communication service provider in Nigeria has very recently introduced new and better internet browsing bundles to carter for the various browsing needs of its vast costumer base. The new plans are all monthly, 24 hour plans, so you do not have to browse only at a given period of time. The only variation now, is the amount of data you can access within the 30 day period. below are the new data bundles, subscription codes and costs:

For The 100MB plan @1000, text 106 to 131 or dial *106#

For the 250MB plan @1300, text 109 to 131 or dial *109#

For the 500MB plan @2000, text 110 to 131 or dial *110#

For the 1GB plan @3500, text 111 to 131 or dial *111#

Enjoy!!!
