Symphony007: The thing that jumped out of me in this article was "CRUDE OIL THEFT"....this thing will soon snuff out the life of the nigerian oil industry. It is going on in both a commercial and subsistent scale: right now bunkering and local refineries in the niger delta creeks are so much that youths from the north are being brought in to work in the local refineries, oil bunkering in the niger delta is now becoming like the mexican drug cartel. There are some bosses are the top who own the refineries with workers stealing the oil..some are now even assasinating rivals.Very, very well said. In the long run, the effect of crude oil theft on our economy may be just as bad, if not worse than Boko Haram. |
Hello aspirants, I hope your questions are being answered. Ensure that you maximise the use of this forum. Do not derail it or fight on it. In case u're wondering, am not a Mod. Am just a part one student of great Ife who benefited greatly from last year's thread. You have made the right choice by choosing to study in great Ife. The journey you are undertaking now, has been finished successfully by many before you. What a joyful day, our matriculation day. We have studied hard, pulled strings and generally worked hard to make this day possible. Therefore we have to savour it. This is how success tastes; sweet. This should also inspire us to work harder, for greater success......cheers!!! |

Really nice. |
Just as I feared, these kids on NL have turned this topic into a tribal battlefield. Keep cursing each other, while the serious minded ones rack up more achievements for you to battle over. |
Really inspiring. This goes to show that we cannot keep using the lack of cutting edge equipment in our labs as an excuse not to conduct ground breaking research. Please tribalists, keep of this topic. They are Nigerians after all. |

Things have fallen apart, we are no longer at ease, cos a man of the people is gone. RIP Achebe, you have lived well!!! |
It is said that failure to plan, is a plan to fail. My friends, have you planned your day, week, month and semester? Do you know what you wanna achieve this semester and exactly how you're gonna achieve it? Or are you just moving with the tide? Doing registration, rushing 4 lectures and going to the reading room to sleep, eat or stare at ur books because everyone else is doing so? We are undergraduates now. Step out of the crowd and define your own path. Why have u come to OAU? Start fulfilling that purpose. Remember, not all those who will matriculate will graduate. Many intelligent students do not graduate with their sets or graduate at all because of the wrong choices they make or the choices they procrastinate/shy away from making. #justhadtosayit# |
Why laugh? She expressed a genuine desire shared by most of us. |
