OdogwuEkeke: Yesterday evening I got intel that Nigerians are not making good use of the free tuition in Germany. The statistics show that Nigerians do not spend the required time to finish a master's program. I was told most spend 4years when the ideal plan is to spend 2years and leave, some others do not even attend lectures but rather just get a job and drop out from school. So technically, it's not like Nigerians are doing crime per se, we are not just going according to the objectives of the tuition-free agenda. This in a way would hinder others from coming because they are still enjoying the student benefits which was not intended for that long. With the Nigerian population, we cannot be the only ones enjoying free tuition in Germany. What she said was tending towards an unofficial ban on Nigerian students because other countries are getting dates and moving into Germany. At this point, I would drop the pen until I am proven otherwise about this issue. All the best with your plan B. It is more honourable to keep quiet than to talk rubbish. |

IOladiplenty: Study visas now come with temporary work permit. Valid for as long as the the visa is valid. So, getting job in the first 2 months MIGHT be possible. My sister got her visa on November 2020 and there wasn't anything like work permit on it. Please be sure so that you don't mislead people. I noticed those that came in from Dubai had work permit in their visa already but not in German consulate Lagos. |

MaryBenn: Fatalveli and NwadiNK one more question please.
My elder brother has promised to assist me with the 10,236 euros on the condition that i send back 700 euros back to him every month after i must have secured a job within 1-2 months hopefully. He said he heard students can earn up to 800 euros per month so i can fend for myself after getting a job. So HE is saying the 853 euros the government gives back to me every month i should be sending back 700 euros once i secure a job since i can use what i earn to pay for all my bills. Is this true or possible? kindly respond. Getting a job within 1-2months might not be possible because you need to extend your visa and get work permit, this takes 3 to 4 months after your arrival. Maybe you can send money back to him after 6months. |

ghettonews: Yes I graduated 2019 with first class. I booked appointment in May but couldn't get a date after 6months being oct 1st I have to cancel and rebook since everything would be wiped away, then I found out none of the first class students has gotten AD and only cat b were getting with scholarship, I said maybe I should consider booking in cat B since all the AD screenshots have been seeing around that time is all cat B and scholarship students. I rebooked early morning 8:20 am 1st oct. So I believe if the embassy starts issuing dates to cat B I would be among the first but someone claimed yesterday he booked under cat A and didn't ticked on scholarship students but got an appointment. Pls how true is this?
Do u think I should cancel and rebook now that is late cuz AD might start coming by January You have been lying up and down ever since you joined this thread. I hope people will soon stop taking you serious. |

MrAAA2: Hi fams. I arrived Cologne, Germany yesterday morning from Dubai-Bahrain-Frankfurt using Gulf Air. The flight was nice and no time wasting from takeoff in Dubai DXB Terminal 3 to Frankfurt Terminal 1. The Germany border control police did not seemed to care about COVID-19 Negative result neither did the Gulf Air in Dubai. I have been continuing my lectures in my self-quarantine. Inside is warm with the heater/oven while out there is cold between 4-7 degrees celcius.
For those who will be travelling from the Gulf Region, please use Gulf Air if you don't have much money as their prices to Germany and France are quite cheap about 45% cheaper than Fly Emirates and KLM. When arriving at the airport, make the following handy: 1. Passport 2. Enrolment certificate 3. Required letter of presence (mine was never asked for) 4. Boarding pass slip 5. For Germany, Digital Entry Registration printout 6. Read about prohibited items in Schengen countries.
Thank you. What do you mean by "Digital Entry Registration printout". |

For those with reissued AD should go with their previous cancelled AD, if possible the cancellation email that asked you to refrain from re-applying, because the current reissued AD has no reference number , no passport number and no category on it.
The person conducting the interview is not the one that reissued the dates and you need to explain to them about your new date. because currently they only attend to those on scholarships and reunion, according to what the VO told my sister yesterday. So she had to explain with the previous cancelled AD. |

dipotol: The CAT B guy booked from Ghana and his interview will be in Ghana, he has Ghana resident permit. He booked just last week. I spoke with him and he told me this. Things are very easier over there in Ghana, I even heard you don't have to block before interview, you have 3 weeks after your interview. Since July, I have been trying to book appointment for someone in German embassy Accra, Ghana. But there's no available date. So ask your friend how he did it. |
