Nigerian-born accountant and pastor Samuel Kayode, who  defrauded a leading UK school chain of £4million, has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for his crimes.

 

According to report, the Woolwich Crown Court found Kayode guilty of obtaining £150,000 by theft and £3.95million by fraud on Friday and served him with a nine-year jail sentence. In 2012, Kayode was arrested for stealing £4.1million of taxpayers’ money and reportedly spending it on four women and luxury items which include a Mercedes, an Audi TT sports car and a £40,000 Infiniti.

 

The 59-year-old was said to have also paid £98,000 a month out of the looted money to a private healthcare facility taking care of his dying wife and reportedly tried to blame the theft on the now deceased woman after his arrest. He also spent lavishly on his second wife and two mistresses.

Kayode, whose case has been referred to as ‘Britain’s biggest ever education scam’, spent seven years looting the accounts of Haberdashers’ Aske’s state schools in South London. So far, the school has recovered only £800,000 and according to them, the assets and properties Kayode claimed to have in Nigeria with his second wife, Olubunmi Halima, were non-existent.

Kayode was arrested last night.

Its known fact that most girls usually find it difficult getting help from the opposite sex without compromising. No matter the seriousness or urgency of the need, most men won't still be moved by the tears of a girl unless she gives in to their demands. This thing also happen to female job seekers who are expected to give, in order to get. Even when a girl is sent by her father to an influential friend of his for job assistance. Don't be surprised if she's asked by the man to play ball with him, without letting her father know. You can't really trust even a teenage girl with some men these days. Their hormones are just too high. And they tend to crave for that thing all the time. Out there, is not that easy for most girls. Getting help from men without compromising is just like passing through the eye of a needle for many of them. But I wonder why some men are like that. Why cant they do things without asking for something in return. Imagine if such treatment is melted to your sister or daughter in future, how would you feel? And atimes it's treatment like this from men or people generally, that push some girls into 'runs' or prostitution. Cos once they realize sleeping with men is the only way to get help or money from them, then they start utilizing it to their advantage. But this is not right. Life shouldn't be all about doing favor for favor. We need to do things freely and with a good heart. Cos, you don't know that by doing good, you are touching more than a million hearts...

Before Asia could excel, they sent a lot of their kids abroad to study. They learnt Western technology and came back home with it. There are still thousands of them studying in US, UK and Europe.

This is good for the Nigerian economy. Do you guys have any idea the amount of money being sent outside the shores of Nigeria every year in the name of scholing abroad? Such money is better spent in Nigeria and it would help prop up the Nigerian economy.
