While I understand your point.. I do not think it is proper to post your salary... Of what use is it stating how much you earn on a public forum. Let me remind you that our ids r not as private as u think. A lot of people have personal relationships outside of here or tend to build a relationship at some point. Well.... I feel if anyone wants further details; you can discuss with them on a more personal note.. outside of here. It may be alrght to state how much u saved up to show as proof on your bank statement (which could serve as a guide ) but stating specific details on ur means of livelihood? No
For me, I don't want anyone to disclose such details to me neither do I expect to see it.

Besides, I'm yet to see any post that specifies individual income from the part 1 to 3.. maybe its an oversight but v just not come across it.

This is just my own perspective.

interview was on the 9th in lagos. after following this thread for a while, felt i was ready but i prepared my mind for anything. this my first time applying for a visa and all.

i picked the 10'o clock got there late cos i forgot my passport by the time i got back to the embassy i was panicking, nobody prepared me for that one. LOL. i didnt get to be interviewed till about 1, panic feeling was so heightened cos the line i was on the man rejected the two applications right before mine.

i was very confused because i expected more questions, nothing about my finances, nothing about who i intend to stay with, didnt ask for evidence of anything, didnt ask how much i have budgeted. nothing.. i quickly collected my paper and RAN out of the hall before the man would change his mind. You can also check with swedish covenant. I heard that midwife delivery package is 3500, so if you r sure u have an uncomplicated pregnancy, check dem out and give me feedback, cos it's hearsay, I didn't go there.

Dr Alston. St Bernards Hosp or Roseland Community.

Hosp is 2500, doc is 3200, epidural is $450 or 750, can't remember again.

Mount sinAi hosp, Dr. Oronsaye, hosp is 2500, doc is 2000+

Google the hosps for their address and phone numbers to book appt. He accepts tests and scans from
Nigeria.

Search part 2 of the thread for a full breakdown on chicago hosps and costs. I did a door to door research.

At least its just a headache you have, not that youre "well enlighten" whatever that means... I am currently pregnant with my second child and intend to deliver in Chicago. Hubby my son and i already have b1/b2 visas, at the time of application i didnt know i was pregnant. A Few questions below
1-Do i need to send an email to the embassy notifying them of my change of intent to travel
2, I was given a contact for a dr and he sent an invoice/bill of $7500 for the whole birth cost. Can i get a referal for a cheaper Dr
3, Given this current cost of $7500 how much would you recommend we take along giving that my hubby will be back to Nigeria in 2 weeks
4, What questions should i expect at the POE.

The reasonable I know is VD-12k after discount for hospital(Riverside Hospital) as at 2012.
Doctor 3.5k with discount.Epidural 1200 after discount 800.Paediatrician 600 tests etc.
Fast forward this year,dollar is not smiling.doctors rate has gone up,estimate from hospital 20k for mom,9k for baby.
Which part of Ohio u dey go?
