This page has been very informative. I plan to move to d UK with my spouse to be on a study visa this September. She is a nurse and currently preparing for IELTS and CBT which are d requirements to practice in d UK. The plan is for her to come with me to d UK on my study visa and then she gets a job either with NHS or a good home care in d UK since she would have been registered. My question is can she switched from d dependent visa to the skilled worker 8visa without having to leave d UK?
YES, she can!

Hi everyone,
Please I need clarification
I have gotten a few admissions from four different schools in the Uk and I am considering University of Plymouth Business analytics.the duration is 1year and school fee is 16k pounds but got a discount of 2k pounds so I am to pay 14k
Although I am still single I am planning to get married and go with my spouse so he can work full-time to support me, I intend on doing the visa processing myself cause I am not buoyant enough to afford agents.my question is that since I am going for September term, when is the best time to get married and start visa application for myself and my fiancée or can I start as I am single and get married in between and apply for my spouse or what’s the best thing to do cause I really want us to go together, this will ease off the stress of thinking of tuition while in school as my spouse can work to support me
Your honest advice is needed
Hello, please how much is University of Plymouth deposit before CAS? Please what's their payment plan like? Do the request for 50% tuition fee before enrolment or registration?

Hello my great people!
Please, am new here. I have read through some pages on this forum and was astonished with every information, answers, and pieces of advice provided by the gurus of the house.
Please, I need your advice and suggestions on this!
I intend to apply for September intake Msc in one of the prodigy supported universities in UK. I have checked my eligibility through their site by answering some of the questions they asked and they said that I qualify for the loan covering my tuition fee and living cost. But I want them to fund my tuition fee only while I cover my living cost and other expenses including some materials for my studies.
Please brothers and sisters, what are the possibilities that this will land me the student visa? Has anyone used student loan to do this before? Are there any testimonies? In my case, what is your advice?
Please help a brother.
Thank you and God bless!
I think we should connect bcus I also intend going that route. There's someone here that have used it. If we connect I will the screenshot. I will send u a mail now.

It's quite common for many people to go for a second Masters degree and you stand very good chances seeing that you can even prove you travelled and came back home to take up employment. With your grade you should be able to get some funded masters degree programs in Canadian schools.
check Memorial University, University of Regina and a few others. Basically Google courses you are interested in and the schools that offer them with funding
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by ucystan(f): 6:50pm On Sep 26, 2021
Please someone should help me out here o.

I have a Bsc in Accounting 2.82/5.0 Cgpa from a Nigerian University, I later got a master's degree in Labor relations and Human Resources 3.87/4.0 from a US school. This Master's degree was course based and i never had Thesis or any research work, just an internship. I came back to Nigeria and started working as a HR personnel in a private Nursery/primary school.

Now i intend going to Canada through study route but having the toughest time finding a program to do. Phd seems out of it since my Masters wasn't thesis based and have never done a research work. Plus to secure a supervisor is like so difficult.

Please can the gurus in the house suggest a way out for me. I would like to go for another study but don't know what next to go for. Pls suggest courses and schools also considering my undergrad gpa since most of the schools require an undergraduate gpa of at least 3.0/4.0. I am so confused.

These are not good advice to OP.

As long as she is married, have kids that are not traveling and yu have travelled extensively you will be issued the Visa. Dont bother so much about finances. It is only a big issue for people who do not have a reliable travel history.

Thank you. I really appreciate.

Tutu82:
Good Evening.
I will not say your visa would not be approved but anything can go wrong and your chances are not that great based on the information you have provided. As it is having a zero amount disposable income and depending solely on your husband as an adult puts you under the section of a flight risk but depending on who’s desk your application goes to being that you have enough money from your husband you will still be granted visa.

Arguably 107k is not a whole lot but it is decent and there are teachers who earn 90k after tax in Abuja and still able to put away up to 20k as savings. For life emergencies and fear of the unknown you should have your own money.(No matter how small the amount is,is better than not having at all).

Consider adjusting your lifestyle to live within your means so you are able to show some savings no matter how small and therefore be more credible.

I advice you apply in February 2022 against Easter holiday in April when school is out for two weeks land add the following documents;

1. Consent letter/letter of sponsorship from your husband.Stating he is aware you are travelling for so and so date,he is sponsoring with so and so amount which was sent you on so and so date.(You need not include his statement).

2.Marriage certificate and 2/3 wedding photos.

3.Your salary account statement for Oct/Nov/Dec 2021 and January 2022 showing a disposable income of at least 10% i.e 10k.

4.Letter of introduction from your place of work identifying you, stating when you were employed, your position, remuneration and you are of good character and they can be contacted for any other information.(signed and on head paper).ID card if you have one.

5.AOP.

Regards.

Your reason for the trip and your inability to finance the trip.

The cost of this trip is not coming from you and attending your sister's child christening is not a strong reason to spend such amount of money.
Okay. Thank you, i get it now.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ucystan(f):
Please why do you say so, and how else do you advice i present my suitation?

Secondly, i don't intend telling them that i am only attending the baby's Christening, i am only just putting out my suitation here.

I have also attended her graduation in UK but that was in 2008, apart from that i also schooled in US and have US visitors visa twice. I have also been to Canada too, plus i have 2kids (5 and 3 years) that won't be going with me.

So with all these travel history and tie to Nigerian do u still think i still don't stand a chance?

I will be surprised if you are given a visa

Thank you so much for always replying our numerous questions.

giselle237:
your sister should write an invitation letter to u inviting u to her home and an invitatx letter to the home office notifying them of who you are, relationshp to u, where u are comin to, why you are comin, date exactly comin, what she will be happily providin, when u are leavin and to where, to further substantiate her claims of financial provision for accommodation and feeding she can submit bank statement, payslips, pictures, birth certificate to establish u are sisters, tenancy agreement or mortgage etc. all these in addition to previous documents you mentioned you would submit
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ucystan(f): 7:37pm On Sep 09, 2021
Oh thank you so much for this reply. So my sister is actually the one inviting me and she just told me now that she doesn't mind standing in as a sponsor too since she has every qualifying document with a closing balance of £8k, but at the same time i dont want to submit my account statement empty, so i am thinking of reducing the money hubby will transfer to 600k or 700k for flight since she will be providing accomodation and feeding. I also don't intend shopping because i am only attending her baby's Christening. At the same time i wouldn't want to add/submit my hubby's statement of account bcus he is running on some loans and wouldn't look nice.

giselle237:
Let the money be in your account and show proofs of the source of your husband’s money.
U can provide payslips + sponsorship letter + his employment documents + his work id+ marriage certificate+ other proofs of relationship between yourselves .... if he will still have a substantial amount in his account after the money he wants to transfer to you, then by all means also add his statement of account.
Also if you can reduce your budget a bit, pls do

Pls what documents do i need to submit in other to show/suggest he is my sponsor?
